About a year ago, many of the McCoven (myself included) were wondering why the hell Sabes would sign a washed up left-handed first baseman on the wrong side of 30, when we already had his younger, right-handed equivalent. One year later...

Too bad it incorrectly says Pablo will be playing; the Giants apparently have better things for him to be doing in the states, according to this article from their website. I don't see what he could be doing here that's better for his development, especially considering he was hitting .477/.500/.932 with five homers in the playoffs. I would be pretty pissed if I were him.

All this Eric Byrnes talk made me wonder if Nate Schierholtz's success versus lefties was partly small sample size. Any one know where I can find his minor league splits?
