Roethlisberger sues accuser back!
Interesting move by Big Ben. He has admitted to having sex with her, however voluntarily. We'll see what this leads to...
Fantasy Football is here!!!
Hey guys! I created a 16-team fantasy football league a couple days ago and i thought it would be great if some fellow yankee fans could join in on the fun!
The draft will be on August 30 (Sunday) at 10:30 pm ET.
If you wanna join, leave your email as a comment or email me at Yankeefanpr@aol.com and I'll be sure to dish out the invite as soon as I can. We're looking for guys (or gals) who have the guts to participate in a truly deep league and who can be active/competitive.

Michael Vick going to Pittsburgh!?
Today in Sportscenter, Mark Schlereth said that he could see Vick going to the Pittsburgh Steelers because they would help him follow the right path. I think this is ridiculous, and that there's no way it would happen! What do you think?
Jay Cutler to the Bears
The Chicago Bears and Dever Bronco's have agreed in principle to a deal that will send Jay Cutler to the Bears for Kyle Orton and a 1rst round pick in 2009 & 2010. Wow!
Reasoning behind our 5th round compensatory pick
According to John Clayton, the best you can get out of a player older than 30 is a 5th round pick. To me this is just stupid, compensatory picks should be measured according to talent and production, not age.
Willie Colon Signs Tender
Lets just hope he gets better with experience! We're gonna need him if, IF, we're gonna repeat. Hey, we won the Super Bowl with this O-line, so i guess its not such a bad idea to sign em all back, especially one that was able to play every game this season...
Its Official: Nate Going To Tennessee
Well, we were all expecting this, and now its official. Nate Washington has agreed to a deal making him a part of the Tennessee Titans. The contract is good for six years at $4.5 mil per season.
I guess this was to be expected, but I was still clinging to some blind hope where he would stay a steeler. We will definitely miss his explosiveness and ability to make big plays. All this means is that the SWEED will need to step up big as the #3 WR. He's got some large shoes to fill, but i think he's more than capable to do so.
Jeff Reed and the Sheetz convenience stores come up with a plan for settling their differences. Hilarious!
Super Bowl Champs Wallpaper
What a game! It is certainly one of the best Super Bowls in NFL history. Now, Im ready to sport my Super Bowl Champs wallpaper. Problem is, i cant seem to find anything that actually says Super Bowl Champs, or something along those lines. I was hoping you guys could help me out here. It doesnt have to be anything too flashy, a simple pic of the game with "Super Bowl Champions" or something like that will do.
Thanks guys! Congrats to all! WE GOT THE STEEL CITY SIX PACK!
Obama makes Super Bowl pick!
In an interview with our new President, Obama was asked who he picked to win the super bowl. When asked this question, most public figures would normally give some answer that didnt really say anything, but Pres. Obama made it clear he picked our Steelers:
"I have to say, you know, I wish the Cardinals the best," Obama replied. "You know, Kurt Warner is a great story, and he's closer to my age than anybody else on the field. But I am a longtime Steelers fan."
Now i wanna make it clear that i didnt post this to start some political debate, so please, none of that. I just found it curious how the President decided to actually root for a team instead of not picking sides. Lets make Obama proud, Go Steelers!
LeBeau Says he's coming back!
After hearing various rumors that he would retire after this season, reportedly Coach Dad confirmed to the players in a team meeting that he would come back in 2009.
It seemed pretty unlikely that he would retire, nevertheless there was always that small chance that he would. This is a great thing for the steelers, who can now count on another great season from their defense, for they will have one of the best, if not the best, defensive coordinator ever to play the game. Since he came back with the steelers in 2004, the steelers have had one of the elite defenses in the NFL, this reaching its highest point this year when the [insert steeler D nickname here] had the best performance by any defense in over 20 years, leading the NFL in all major categories except rushing D, where they finished 2nd.
I cant wait to see our D dominating every offense with Coach Dad calling the plays for yet another year! I cant imagine what this team would be like without him, seeing what an influence he's been on so many players. We definitely have the talent to be a succesfull D, but only Lebeau can call the right plays every time to keep the opposing offense on its heels.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves now, we still have to prove how good of a D we are by stopping the Cardinals' potent offense in Super Bowl XLIII. I know we will! Lets bring home that Steel City Six Pack!!!

Omen of things to come?
Ok, so I used to live in Pittsburgh about 10 years ago until I moved back to Puerto Rico. Since i left Pittsburgh, i've gone back only twice. The first time was in 2005. I only went to Pittsburgh for a weekend with the sole purpose of watching the steelers play the Browns one november night. Unfortunately, that night was the only time Big Ben has missed a game in his career as a starter, and Willie Parker was also banged up and wasnt able to play, though i did enjoy watching bettis play. But i didnt allow that to bring me down, and i saw my steelers beat up the browns. That year the steelers surprised the world as the only 6th seed to win the super bowl in NFL history. I couldnt believe we had seen that super bowl winning team.
I was so excited I couldnt wait to go back. And so i did come back, this year, again for only a weekend just to see the Steelers play in a big game vs. the Colts. I faced the possibility of again not seeing Big Ben and FWP play. They were both game time decisions, and even though FWP couldnt play, i did get to see Big Ben this time. Now THAT was an exciting game. Unfortunetly the steelers came inches short as they just missed completing a last second hail mary pass in the endzone. So again i went back to Puerto Rico, and AGAIN my steelers were able to make it to the super bowl.
Twice i've gone back to Pittsburgh, twice the steelers have been super bowl bound. Now im just hoping that my visits to Pittsburgh give the steelers good luck, as they will try to beat the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl to become the franchise with most super bowl victories in NFL history!
Go Steelers! Good Luck!!!
Gameday Superstitions
Its a well known fact around sports that many fans, even some players, have some crazy superstitions and/or do some crazy things before every game. Personally, I always wear my Big Ben jersey and use the same old terrible towell (i will never change it! And yeah, even though I am not at the games, I still proudly wave my terrible towell after each big play) on gameday.
Now I've heard some crazy things such as eating some nasty things or not changing one's underwear, but i was just curious to see what crazy superstitions you guys have that we hope will work for the Big Game!
Go Steelers!
