Behind the Steel Curtain Sports beat Cancelled

Well this stinks for all the Steelers fan living outside the Burgh with over 3 weeks till camp,

There will be no info on tv of the steelers now ,terrible decision by Fox sports Pittsburgh. Stan show is an Icon in Pittsburgh and how  the media station can allow this to be Cancelled is a joke. I wish the steelers would get involved and help save the Savarn Show. Hopefully a lot of people will write in to protest and Possible drop the Program.

Behind the Steel Curtain Tomlin looking at an Former player

Per a league source, the veteran linebacker is visiting the Steelers today.

The team’s interest in Harris makes sense; with Larry Foote gone, the Steelers need someone to back up Lawrence Timmons at one of the inside positions in the team’s 3-4 defense.

Harris was a first-round draft pick of the Raiders in 2002. In 2005, Oakland traded him to Minnesota as part of the Randy Moss deal. After Harris’ contract expired following the 2006 season, he signed with the Chiefs as a free agent.

Kansas City cut him during the 2008 season, and he returned to Minnesota to help fill the void created by a season-ending injury to E.J. Henderson. Harris appeared in ten games for the Vikings last year, starting five of them.

In 2006, Harris started 14 games at middle linebacker for the Vikings, which also was the only season that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin served as defensive coordinator in Minnesota. ps now if the look at Levi Jones to solidify to postions with some questions

Behind the Steel Curtain Which Undrafted Fa will have a legit Shot.

Below are the Players tht the Steelers will bring into camp.

The steelers have usually find at  least one player that makes the Roster if not a starter.. Looking over this list early it seems like that will be tough this season but My early Choices are ILB Andrew Schantz who played at Portland State and was the Team Leading Tackler. The Other Is FS Derrick Richardson from New Mex ST where he lead the team in tackles. these are the 2 positions where i can see an UDFA making the roster.

Steven Black, WR, 6-2, 200, Memphis

Jeff Bradley, DT, 6-3, 280, Western Carolina

Mark Estermeyer, LS, 6-1, 251, Pitt

Ramon Foster, OT, 6-5, 328, Tennessee

Cedric Goodman, WR, 6-2, 189, Georgia

Tyler Grisham, WR, 5-10, 184, Clemson

Tom Korte, ILB, 6-0, 239, Hillside (Mi.)

Kevin McCabe, QB, 6-2, 209, California (Pa.)

Steve McLendon,, DT, 6-3, 305, Troy

Isaac Redman, RB, 5-10, 228, Bowie State

Mike Reilly, QB, 6-3, 214, Central Washington State

Derrick Richardson, S, 5-11, 201, New Mexico State

Andrew Schantz, LB, 6-1, 234, Portland State

Behind the Steel Curtain any one have thoughts on FS Derrick Richardson

He seems to put up some great stats playing for a bad New Mex St Team.

He seems to be a project but could be another UDFA find also watch the LB from Portland St.> He also lead his school in tackles and was Captain of his team.

The Steelers usually find a Player after the Draft and even though their Crop of UDFA is not up to Par . The Qb Reilly from Central Wash could be a PS Player who could turn out to be a 3rf Stringer.

I also hear that Jon Runyan might be looking to sign a vet deal with Pitt after he heals and this might be another reason the steelers did noe draft a tackle. I would wonder if Cappizzi or Hills have show enough to be a starter at Left Tackle. I would think Cappizzi is more or o Right Tackle.
