Cincy Jungle the draft

OK OK I know it is only January, but I think of the next draft as soon as the previous one ends. I am well aware of the pressing needs in the upcoming draft, but all I can think is what if the Bengals were to draft safety Taylor Mays from USC. Can you imagine the hitting going on in Cincy?

Is he the real deal? The dude can lay people out, and there are several people in the division that I would love to see him destroy. I won't mention anyone in particular, but one of them has the initials "Hines Ward".

Will he be around at 21ish?

Cincy Jungle Bengals sign QB!

Offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski has decided to commit his offense to the option/ wishbone. So the Bengals have lured former Oklahome Sooner Jamelle Holieway out of retirement. Bratkowski has admitted this it may take a few weeks for Holieway to work himself into game shame and to download the offense to his players.

"Luckily," commented Bratkowski, "we have been slowly ingraining the fabulous tradition of the old-school college offense in the last ten weeks, and I believe we can run it effectively."

When asked what this would mean for franchise quarterback Carson Palmer, Bratkowski responded, "who?"

Cincy Jungle Sixteenth ranked offense

This is my first FanPost so please ignore any formatting snafus or lack of pizzazz. But I have a bone to pick with some NFL Network "experts" who were dogging Cincy's offense ranking on last Sunday's pregame show (I'm looking at you, Marshall).

According to NFL statistics regarding Yards-per-game allowed (from si.com); in the nine games the Bengals have played so far this year, seven have been played against top-ten defenses.

2 games vs. Pittsburgh (ranked #2)

1 vs. Green Bay (#4)

1 vs. Denver (#6)

2 vs. Baltimore (#7)

1 vs. Chicago (#10)

And I don't think Houston's defense is a pushover, either.

If this has been posted or ranted about already, I apologize. But I find this to be very interesting. I suspect the #16 ranking will improve over the next few weeks.

Go Bengals!
