I'm only 46, but to this day I can still remember hanging up the skates and putting my beloved hockey stick in the basement for the last time. When you grow up with something you love, something that just becomes a regular part of your life and then you have to give it up because you just can't play like you used to, it's one of the toughest things to do. I, like many of you, have hated Favre for the past umpteen years as he played quarterback for that "Green Bay team", and as a Packer we just learned to hate him as we do ALL Packer players; it's what we do as Viking's fans. But he's no longer a Packer!!! In fact, he seems to have adopted some of his own "hatred" for the green and gold, and that, my friends, will be enough for me to show a little respect for the man. Fine, we've hated him for years now, but now he seems to want to come to our side of the ball. He wants to BEAT the Packers now, just like we've always wanted to do. Can anyone here think of anything sweeter than winning our first Superbowl with THEIR "glory be to all" ex-quarterback??????? Me either! To you guys that are hating Favre for having been a Packer: GET OVER IT! Support the guy when he signs with us, as he's our best chance of making a run to the "big game". Again, I've never been a Favre fan, but I'm a Viking's fan, and if he's wearing OUR colors, then he's a Viking, and that then makes me a Favre fan. How long has it been since we've had a REAL QB on the roster?!?!?!?!?! Look at our freakin' team right now, are they not poised to go all the way this year???? The missing link, for years now, has been at the QB position, and now we have a chance to put a future hall of famer back there. I'm going to support Favre if/when he becomes a Viking, but I'll still have to show a little attitude, so here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to get a custom jersey made (number 4, of course), but instead of "Favre", I'm going to put another name on it, but I need your help. Here's a poll of some ideas for custom names in place of "Favre". Let me know which ones you like, and if you have better ideas, please feel free to share. Thanks guys, and SKOL VIKINGS!!! Jake

If the Vikings have a shot at this kid, they HAVE to do it!

I've watched about every film clip they have on this stud, and he would be just what we need as a WR! Hell, you could line this kid up with Peterson in the backfield and cause ALL KINDS of headaches for opposing defenses.

If you haven't seen him yet, go Google his name in the video section, but just one warning, put a pillow in your lap so you won't hurt your chin when you jaw drops open! LOL

Cutler, or not?

What do we do here folks???

I'm at a loss with this Cutler thing, but he does sound a hell of a lot better than any QB on our current roster.

From what I've read about the guy, he seems to be a long term guy and not the "fill in for the year" types that we Viking's fans have become so accustomed to. And if Holt came in, he would have a pretty damn good group of receivers to throw at.

What do you guys think the Vikings would have to give up to get him? If I'm not mistaken, I think he's still under contract and I'm wondering if the Broncos can force him to stay for another year. (Like I said, I'm not all up on the facts in relation to this guy)

I just don't know guys...

I know this subject has been hammered all over the place, but I sort of just wanted to ask everyone's opinion now that he has declared that he wants out of Denver.

Again, sorry if this subject is driving everyone nuts....
