Well, the moment I've been waiting for finally arrived. The Bee's are in town for a 3 game series! I got my tickets a few days back and sat right at the Bees' dugout. I (technically we, as I made my wife and daughter come too) got there about an hour early and got to chat a bit with the Bees radio guy. He obviously was excited about seeing an Angel fan in foreign lands, as well as letting me know Trumbo and Thompson made the All-Star Game. I asked to see if there was any news of Thomson and Halowood, er, uh, Kohn joining the Angels soon and he seemed pretty optimistic. I think he is really pulling for Thomson to get another shot but it seemed that management in Anaheim has had other thoughts. He also said that Trumbo definitely needs more ripening before making his big league debut.

As the players started coming out on the field just about every single one stopped to sign autographs for my daughter and one other little boy. Got Trumbo, Evans, Amarista, Kohn, McAnulty, Thompson, Cassevah, and many more.

Well after 13 years of living in Romania I am coming back to America. In 1996 I left California to do some mission/humanitarian work in a country still feeling the strong hold of communism. It was a strange land for me. Everything was foreign; language, culture and even sport. The only thing that you could ever see was football soccer and so I was forced to love a new sport.

In the early years, being internet-less, I longed for news on how the Angels were doing. Once every 6 months I'd cross the border and make it to Hungary where I'd splurge and buy a USA TODAY just so I could see the standings and box scores. It was weird not knowing who any of the players were.

As the years went by, Romania joined the 21st century and I got  myself non-stop access to the net. (I know that sounds funny but, well... it took forever.) Soon after I discovered Halosheaven, the best thing since sliced cheese, and joined the family. I was revived!

And now I'm packing up my bags and getting ready to head home. Tuesday, Mrs.Stuck in Romania and I will fly to our new home... Colorado Springs... Wednesday through Sunday the Bee's will be in town and I'll catch my first games in a long long time... I'll try to get some picts.

I'm looking forward to actually being able to see our Angels play live on TV, instead of watching Gameday and following the game threads wondering what is really happening.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank the whole Halosheaven community for getting me back in the game. Being so far away, you made me feel like I was close to home. Now I just gotta figure out what all these new stats are.

I was happy to see that Napoli (still a rookie?) is getting some credit... Maybe he'll make the All Star team...Also nice to see those words... "Angels pounded the Dodgers..."

Ok... need some more words here... So what are the official qualifications for a rookie anyway... I'm getting old and cant remember... You would think that after 200+ games and over 3 years, he would not be called a "rookie" anymore.
