I like soccer and baseball. Specifically, the Arsenal and the Pirates but I like baseball so much I follow everyone. I enjoy following teams with good management-specifically at the baseball operations level. I enjoy it when teams like the Devil Rays and Marlins go to/win the World Series with payrolls around or well below that of the Pirates because it, in my opinion, blatantly proves that money has far less to do with winning in baseball than does proper management. I also like it because it makes stupid people in Pittsburgh realize that Jason Bay, Xavier Nady, or even Nate McClouth are not going to take us to the promised land. Well, it should anyway.
I believe (but also hope and pray) that Pedro Alvarez is the Pittsburgh Pirate's Neo.
