Watching the Hall of Fame game last night and seeing Kerry Collins play, I started thinking about our former players around the league. Whenever I think about football, my mind drifts toward this blog. I started to wonder who amongst CURRENT former Raiders we would love to have back. I'm sure I didn't list everyone out there, so feel free ( and I know you will ) to add your player to the others choice. Just win, baby!!!

I don't mean to get all emotional on a football blog, but I just wanted to thank everyone who made this possible. As some of you may be aware, I live near K.C. and the only time I get to hear about the Raiders is when they play the Chiefs. So like some of you, I spend a lot of time looking at this blog. It's awesome, and even the ones that have been put down recently have been interesting to me in some way. Keep up the good work everyone. Just win, baby!!!!

Break-out WR's

I think we all know it goes without saying that it's important our WR's play well. Not only to move the offense, but I think we'll all agree it would make J-Russ look better!! So my question is this... what wide out will have the best year.
Yes.. I know about Miller and Jon Paul, but this poll is for the WR's only. I always wondered how Russell would have done with a better wide out corp, but this year he just might have the tools. ( Walker wasn't passed, he's already awesome.)

I just don't get it. We had a awesome season. Nabokov was amazing, Thornton was his all world self, our D was in control. So why is it we went home once again. I'm SO sick and tired of my friends getting on my back about the SHARKS!!!!! Plain and simply, the cup was OURS this year!! What more needs to be done? Who do we need to bring in? Honestly, I don't think we need anyone else. We only lost 18 games, how do you improve on that?!!? What do you guys think?

We all know our D has had to shoulder to bulk of on field time over the last few years while the offense has struggled, but I think we all know we have a lot of work to do on that side. So who do you think needs to step up more, D-line, linebackers or secondary? Jay Richardson has played well while D-Burgess has fallen off every year. Ellis might help and Warren is solid. ( Even if Sapp didn't like him at first.)
So, who needs to play better?
And by the way, the Chiefs just signed Toomer. Big deal! Nnamdi will be there to shut him down!!

Maybe I'm just a little too excited about this time of year, but I can't help myself. I always feel like we have a shot, but this year feels like a break out year. This will be the year JaMarcus shakes it off and plays consistently( or else) McFadden will start and rush for over 700 yards and have 50 receptions, Chaz breaks out to become the #1 receiver, and our D will finally stop the run. ( not to mention hold on 3rd down.) Can you feel it this year Raider Nation? Is maybe getting 8 wins asking too much? Thoughts?
