So, since i live in philly, I've had to hear how great the Halladay trade was. I personally disagree, i feel like Halladay/Lee is a wash. And considering they gave up another three picks for him, it seems crazy to me. They could have gotten him for less in july. Not to mention, the problem with the phillies isnt their ace, its the supporting cast. They really have no one but Happ who is reliable, and now your hopes rest on Hamels and Blanton? And since they broke the bank for Halladay, they cant afford another top flight pitcher. So lets not get too crazy about this one. The Phillies are absolutely no better than they were six weeks ago, and with the loss of Drabek, they may be worse. Plus, they are no longer allowed to say a word about buying championships to us yankee fans ever again. Now that i've cleared that up, what do you think about Erik Bedard? i know he has some injury issues, so does Sheets and the like. A lefty, who has a good career era, and has pitched with succes in the AL. i like him. but feel free to blast me on this, i can take it
