Great time to be a sports fan. Not so much if you have lots of friends and family.Anyways this week we have two BBB veterans Dexfarkin vs Aagoodfela locking horns in an epic battle of wits! Join us inside for more!
Fact or Fiction: Week 1
Note: Hugo: Promoted from FanPosts
By Syc - So I'm going to try something new here. Basically I'll be asking six questions to two different people. They had to answer with either Fact or Fiction. I'm going to try and keep this as a weekly event with two different people going against each other. This week we have HUGO vs TOM (Cue Ominous music)
Top Ten reasons to watch the Blue Jays this year
Note from Hugo: Promoted from Fanposts. I thought this syc piece was great, and a great way for everyone to talk about why they are looking forward to watching (or not) this season.
This is no way an official Letterman Top ten list but just based on my glorious and never wrong opinion.
Feel free to comment and list your own top ten reasons. It's fun and interactive!!
Number 10 - Buck Martinez
Not many Jamie Campbell fans around these parts. Rogers went ahead this year and made a big change in the booth. They brought back Buck Martinez to do Play by play. I for one was happy with this decision. Not having anything to do with Jamie Campbell as a person. I just did not think he was a quality MLB Play by Play guy. Sometimes it seemed if he was in over his head. He never called out his Color guy for making stupid comments (Rance and Tabler) and got overly excited on some plays. I think if you want to have a successful product then it all starts with your TV guys. It might not be a "Sexy" reason to watch, but it will be a welcome change to a broadcast that got monotonous and boring over the last 3 years. Now can we please Get Evanka Osmak instead of Sam Cosentino as host?

Fantasy baseball
So we have about a billion options for fantasy baseball now. Just judging how many people would be interested in starting our own leagues and such.
Yahoo just introduced an live auction type of draft which looks pretty cool and is a def a twist on regular fantasy.
We can also just go about the normal more traditional way. 5x5 Roto or points.
I know not everyone can join the same league, as having over 12 teams seriously kills the depth and the drafts take to long (specially the auction type).
Help me out with some feedback. Who's Interested or not, and maybe if you know a better fantasy site. I know ESPN and cbssports line have good fantasy options. I've ran leagues for the past 3 years on yahoo so I don't mind being a commish/admin for the league.
Gregg to the jays is official
Rotoworld reports
Kevin Gregg has a one-year, $2.75 million deal with the Blue Jays, reports Jon Heyman of SI.com.
Gregg immediately becomes the favorite for saves over Jason Frasor and Scott Downs, though it's not clear if he has already been guaranteed the ninth-inning gig. The 31-year-old compiled a 4.72 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 23 saves in 30 opportunities with the Cubs last season before losing the closer's gig to Carlos Marmol.
Holliday traded!!!
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP)—The St. Louis Cardinals have added a big bat for their pennant drive.
A person with knowledge of the deal says the Oakland Athletics have completed a trade to send outfielder Matt Holliday(notes) to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Friday because an announcement had yet to be made.
The Athletics will receive a package of prospects, highlighted by third baseman Brett Wallace(notes). Outfielder Shane Peterson and right-hander Clayton Mortensen(notes) also will join the A’s organization in a deal first reported by ESPN.com.
The first-place Cardinals have been looking to add another hitter in the middle of the lineup to support slugger Albert Pujols(notes)—and this is their second midseason trade after already acquiring utilityman Mark DeRosa(notes) from the Cleveland Indians late last month.
Holliday has struggled in his first season with the A’s, batting .286 with 11 home runs and 54 RBIs.
Oakland traded for Holliday during the winter knowing he might only be with the club for half a season. General manager Billy Beane acknowledged that at the time. The 29-year-old Holliday had his best game for Oakland at home on Monday, hitting two home runs with a grand slam as the A’s rallied from 10 runs down to beat the Minnesota Twins 14-13.
Many scouts attended recent games in Oakland to watch Holliday, who spent his first five major league seasons with the Rockies.
Wallace has made a quick move through the Cardinals’ farm system and was considered their top offensive prospect. A first-round draft pick last year chosen 13th overall, he was already at Triple-A Memphis. Whenever St. Louis needed help from the minors, Wallace’s name came up but manager Tony La Russa insisted he needed more time.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Wallace, a left-handed hitter who was born in the Bay Area, was batting .293 with six homers, 19 RBIs and 11 doubles in 62 games for Memphis after starting the year in Double-A.
He played in the All-Star Futures Game in St. Louis earlier this month.
The Cardinals have been without third baseman Troy Glaus(notes), who is rehabilitating from January shoulder surgery.
AP Sports Writer R.B. Fallstrom in St. Louis contributed to this report.
