June 20, Maddux, Cubs 2, Indians 4:

Have time to kill (photo overload):

June 20

If you have a 1280x1024 or larger display, select the "large" photo size from the pulldown menu in the upper right corner of each photo page.

Unfortunately it rained June 19th, and when play resumed the light was horrible due to darkness.

If the photos look too bright or dark, I recommend tweaking your display's brightness and/or contrast per http://bbphotos.muegel.org/mlb/about.html.

Cheers,
-Mike

Lone Star Ball Some Rangers photos

I'm a Cubs fan (have pity on me), but live in Dallas and took a good number of photos at various Rangers games last year. I've finally had a chance to organize them all and put them up at:

   http://bbphotos.muegel.org/

Photos are organized in various ways. You can jump to a given player here:

Or any on the team here:

I posted this a few days ago on the SB Nation sister blog Bleed Cubbie Blue, but thought some Rangers fans might enjoy the Rangers pics. If you have a high-res monitor be sure to select the "large" photo size from the pulldown menu at the top of each photo page.

We've both been pretty busy so far this year and have not made it to the ballpark yet. But we'll be attending 2 of the upcoming Sox and Yankees games and will probably attend a few others, especially timed to a Koronka start. My wife was a real big fan of his in his brief Cubs big league career and wants to see how he is doing in his Texas digs.

Regards,
-Mike

Bleed Cubbie Blue My Cubs Photos

I've taken a bunch of Cubs (along with Rangers and WBC) photos over the last few years and finally got around to cataloging them all. Some are pretty good, some just so so. But I thought some of you would enjoy the trip down memory lane:

We are going to two games in Cleveland next month but that may be it for the Cubs this year other than the two Spring Training games we saw. My wife just started a new job and vacation days are slim.

Bleed Cubbie Blue Online and phone sales: how do they work?

I'm wondering how the "virtual waiting room" works. It seems tomorrow AM I will pick a single game at http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=chc&m=4&y=2005 (or a few with different browsers) and then be placed in a virtual waiting room, to be possibly chosen at random in some time.

My questions on online sales:

  1. Once chosen to get out of the waiting room, how long do I have to respond to the next screen -- whatever it is -- before I lose my chance. Or is there no timeout?
  2. I take it I can buy up to 6 tix for this one game, but can't then purchase other games without getting back into the waiting room?
  3. Are there different waiting rooms -- and thus different chances to get picked -- for each game or is there really just a single "room"? Just wondering if your chances are better for less popular games.
And now for telephone:

1) Do you get a busy or call back later msg or wait on hold?

Thanks for any help.

-Mike
