Saw this article on espn.com and got me thinking: with all the trouble the Yankees are having with #5 starters, should they try and get a veteran like Wells or is he trouble?

I don't even know if it's a possibility as the Yankees have not mentioned it and their name is not included on the list of teams interested.

I think Wells has jumped the shark or ate it, a long time ago, however when you name guys like Wright, Ponson and Pavano, he suddenly looks like Johan Santana. And it is well known David's love for the Yankees and their history, not to mention a lot of Yankee fans would welcome him with open arms.  

I will say this, if he does go back to NY, he will be the modern day Billy Martin.

I found this at Top 5 and was curious what everyone thought.  I didn't write it and even though I've tried not to hate on Arod, some of these are still pretty funny.  

8> Doesn't reach base almost half the time!

7> They have to live in Queens, and he doesn't.

6> He's not earning his paycheck. What? OK, then -- he's not earning his AND Randy Johnson's paychecks, and we can't hold Johnson's gigantic elderly feet to the fire.

5> He prefers thick-crust pizza.

4> They don't hate him -- they just want his nickname changed to E5-Rod.

3> Completely and inexcusably unable to raise the dead.

2> The Yanks are unusually light in the loathsome wife-beating, drug-addict department, and A-Rod drew the media's short straw.
