At our next home game we need to have a lot of signs in support of KP. Something along the lines of "If KP goes I go" would be great. We don't want to lose the main guy that has rebuilt our franchise from the rubble of the jail-blazers era.

PASPN Mock GM Keeper League-30 team league
A very fun fantasy league where you are the General Manager. You start with an actual NBA teams roster and can make trades, sign players, etc. The scoring is different than the traditional format. Instead all of a players stats are combined into one number. There are 3 GM spots available. (Cleveland, Indiana, and the LA Lakers) Hope you check it out. It's a lot of fun!
PASPN Mock GM Keeper League-2 GM Positions Open
We just had two GM spots open up. The LA Lakers and the Indiana Pacers. 30 Team league.
The League of all Leagues
Password: competitive
Another option is that you can join as an agent.
Need 3 more GM's for PASPN Mock GM Keeper League
League Name: The League of all Leagues
Password: Competitive
It's really fun. Right now the teams that are available are the Miami Heat, The San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls.
Observations from tonights game.
I was at the game tonight. Here is what I saw.
Greg Oden- Despite reports that Pryzybilla would start tonight, Oden was part of the starting lineup. He quickly picked up 2 fouls and stayed in foul trouble the whole night. (a couple of the fouls were bad calls) However, in the 4th quarter, he came alive and was instrumental in the comeback win. He had one very athletic layup that really impressed me. His Free-throw shooting was also very good and at times he looked like the best player on the floor.
Juwan Howard- Howard got quite a few minutes tonight, and he certainly earned them. He had a couple nice scoring moves, plus used his inside passing ability to create some easy baskets for the wings and big men. A nice solid game.
Nicolas Batum- Nic had a sick block on Ty Lawson during the 2nd quarter, but did very little on offense tonight. He was hardly noticeable out on the court tonight.
Brandon Roy- Roy got no respect from the refs tonight. He was in foul trouble all night, much like Oden, but he came through in the 4th quarter in a Royesque fashion.
Steve Blake- Blake was hardly noticeable tonight. He seemed to be out of rythym.
Joel Pryzybilla- Had a typical Joel Pryzybilla game. Solid.
Travis Outlaw- Travis was completely out of sync tonight, but was quite active defensively in the first quarter.
Martell Webster- made a couple shots, and also had a nice layup drive right into the teeth of the defense, something I'd like to see more of.
Jerryd Bayless= Jerryd was highly impressive. He played SG almost all the time he was in the game and he played it well. He was a foul magnet, getting Denver's bigs into major foul trouble. Best I've seen him play.
Andre Miller- He was huge tonight. He had some great scoring plays and also used his veteran savvy to get to the line. He also sees the court very well.
Replacement Refs- They blew a lot of calls tonight. I hope they aren't all this bad.
Hope you enjoy these observations.

Mock GM Keeper League Starting Up (It's Free)
Hey, I have a Fantasy Basketball league that's starting up. Here are the details
1. It's a Keeper League
2. There are 30 teams
3. Each player picks an actual NBA team to be their team (Those are the players that you start with).
4. This is a mock GM league in which trades can be made and players can be signed.
4b. GM's that want to continue into future seasons can, those that don't will be replaced next year.
5. Not only do we need GM's, but we also need agents to negotiate contracts.
6. Scoring is different than in a typical fantasy basketball league. All of a players stats are combined into one number.
7. Basically a GM in this league can do just about anything that an NBA GM can do. (buyouts, Sending players overseas, D-League, Draft, Free Agency, Trades. etc..)
8. This particular league will start with rosters accurate as of August 31.
9. I expect that anyone who joins will be honest and fair.
10. I want this to be a very active league in which GM's are good about setting there lineups, along with checking their trade offers.
11. If you're interested got to this link http://paspn.net/default.asp?p=90&gmaction=34&leagueid=6191&seasonid=53
12. The pass code is Competitive
13. Please, only serious GM's
Thanks, I look forward to competing against you guys.

Question to those that joined the PASPN league yesterday.
I've been wondering if the league is a keeper league or if it only goes through this season. Does anyone know? I certainly hope that it's a keeper league. I like the idea of some teams building for the future and the ready to win now teams building as such. I saw that you could reactivate leagues from past years, but would we be able to carry over our rosters to the next season or would we have to start fresh? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Who will win it all (w/poll)
I realize that it's early, but I was wondering who everyone is picking to win the Super Bowl this year. (Yes, I realize that there will be a lot of Green Bay votes) Feel free to discuss.

Who to trade? (With Poll)
Now that Turkoglu appears to be signing with Portland. Who do we trade? There obviously aren't enough minutes to go around for all of these guys. And who should we trade for? It's apparent that we could use an upgrade at PG. So, one option would be to trade one or two of these guys plus Blake or Bayless to get said PG.
Some possible targets
Andre Miller (Sign and trade with Philadelphia)
Now here's a poll.

Devin Harris available?
I was wondering. Because of the Nets getting Rafer Alston. Does this now mean that Devin Harris might be available?
My guess would be yes. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if KP pulls a deal for Harris tonight. He certainly would fit our team well. The big question would be how much we'd have to give up. It's at least an interesting possibility that I'm sure Pritchard will look in to.

Joel Freeland close to signing with Unicaja
Marca.com is reporting that Freeland is close to signing a deal with ACB team Unicaja. The article was in spanish so I was only able to get the gist of the article, but it looks as if Freeland won't be an option at backup PF this year.
Because of this development, I'd be surprised if the Blazers didn't draft a PF at either #24 or #32. Possible options that might be available are Tyler Hansbrough, Gani Lawal, Omri Casspi(though probably better suited to play SF), Josh Heytvelt, and Jeff Pendergraph. I personally like Hansbrough and Pendergraph, but I could see us drafting one of these other guys too. It's also possible that Pritchard may decide to address this need in free-agency. Even if he does I'd be surprised if we didn't draft a PF with our first two picks. It never hurts to have some depth at this position.
Anderson Varejao
This is my first post, so bear with me.
Word is that Anderson Varejao will be opting out of the final year of his contract, making him a free agent. My thought is that he would make an excellent backup PF for our team. I also think that he fits the culture that KP has been building here in Portland. Do you think it realistic that Varejao might be willing to sign with Portland? If so would how big of a contract would we have to give him? My take on it would be that we give Roy and Aldridge extensions first and then go after Varejao. I think that there's a small chance that he'd sign with Portland. The main concern he'd have is playing time and the fact that he'd be coming off of the bench. He's good enough where he'd be a starter on some teams. Let me know what you think.
