OSU isn't going to be this year's Texas Tech, considering an 11-1 record would be phenomenal with Georgia, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech to deal with, but it has all the talent and all the athleticism to

It is time for Tech to thank Crabtree by giving him the highest honor that an athletic program can give a former player - retire his jersey.

What do you think? Should we honor Crab before Thomas and Welker or all three...none...someone else?

NFL draft: Searching for 'The Next Tom Brady'

Graham Harrell, Texas Tech

Why he'll stay on the board: He has average arm strength and lacks a big frame. It's tough to tell whether he can improve his arm strength, like Brady could and Ken Dorsey couldn't. After playing in shotgun at Tech, he struggled with dropback footwork in workouts.

Why he should come off it: Like Brady, he is accurate and polished in the pocket and possesses every intangible such as how to attack defenses.

Draft forecast: Round 6 or 7.

NFL comparison: Sage Rosenfels, Vikings

Part of the agents’ Dec. 16 counter-proposal to Tech’s offer was for Leach to become athletic director for football and report directly to the chancellor. The A-J reported that Saturday.

The new correspondence shows Baldwin also included Leach’s desire for more say-so in the Dec. 5 e-mail to Bailey. He told the president, "Mike would like to have more control and authority over the football program, including managing the budget and scheduling.’’

Any comments on this part of the article? I would love to have leach as the AD.

Double-T Nation NCAA-record 77 punts (67 on first down!)

TIE
Texas Tech was involved in one of the strangest games in college football history. A 0-0 tie with Centenary in 1939 was played in a driving rainstorm and featured an NCAA-record 77 punts (67 on first down!). Interestingly, Field Scovell (featured earlier under Scovell) was a game official in the game, which was played in Shreveport, La. Charlie Calhoun still owns the NCAA record for number of punts in a single game. He punted 36 times for 1,318 yards in the game.

I was bored and did not want to read anymore from espn and I did not know this.

Said Kingsbury: "You get a guy like Graham, with his experience, it’s like having a coach on the field. He knows how to attack a weakness."

Said Cumbie: "You can’t simulate game reps. You have to be out there, where the live bullets are flying around. He has used all those experiences to get better."

Said Hodges: "He’s gotten better every year. He came into the lineup as a sophomore and played well, but you can see he’s improved tremendously.

The 7.5 national rating (8.6 million households) was ABC’s highest-rated game this season and seventh highest-rated regular-season game ever. Double-T Nation AGGIE WEEK

We all have friends who like UT, OU and A&M.  But for me it seems that the guys who like A&M always seem more defensive this time of year(could be the 9-12 record against them).  Or like us Tech faithful playing OU and UT is always an uphill battle that when we play A&M we are usually on equal footing...not any more lately we have been ranked and have played at a higher level than A&M for the past few years atleast.

What is the most fun/annoying part of the week we play the aggies?

this is meant as a fun poll noone take it to seriously.....aggies

Pick your FAVORITE part of the A&M game week.

Double-T Nation Aggie Poll #2

Ok lets flip the coin and go at it like your Mike Leach.

You now have a kicker that is not game tested and a kicker that is having game anxiety attacks while kicking.  After a close call at home with NU where your offense executed great if not the best so far this season and under presure.

Stupid 75 words ohh well.  I like polls if you do post some i love commenting on them as do others. or email me at texastfan@gmail.com I'll post it.

GO TECH

there 75 words.

Poll
How is your mind set for the Aggie game?
Great we played great the last two weeks and A&M is flat this year no problems.
5 votes
I had that mind set last week, this week we go in playing harder and smarter.
29 votes
We had to many mistakes last week, I am not fearful but apprehensive for this game.
23 votes
I am already past this game its just the Aggies, they are going to be practice for KU.
