Long time UCLA fan - since 1955 - they won my loyalty when they upset Ohio State in the Rose Bowl that year. Had the good fortune to closely follow the Wooden era. Too bad we did not have all the TV channels and internet then - would have been even more fun. I'm a retired high school principal, before that I was a high school and college band director. My son graduated from UCLA in 1996 and I went with him to the first Wooden BB classic and watched the super freshman Toby Bailey and JR Henderson join the O'Bannons in the huge upset of Kentucky - the precursor to the NCAA championship that year. My son was in the UCLA band - I am good friends with the director of the Wind Ensemble at that time, Dr. Tom Lee
