Is stealing signs really that bad??
Someone, who was I guess scared to make his name public, is accusing the Blue Jays of stealing signs by getting help from a mystery man wearing white, maybe the good Lord, in the stands!!
Creed Frontman Writes/Performs Song for Marlins
Im not sure what is worse. The fact that Scott Stapp actually wrote this song or the fact that the Marlins played it at their park?? Pretty freakin hilarious!!
Clemens Indicted
Looks like the Rocket might be shut down for good. Curious to find out what exact hard evidence that actually do have. Couldnt happen to bigger jerk!!
Showalter to Orioles
Wonder what the excitement level is on Baltimore?
Greenberg asks Judge Lynn to reconsider pushing the confirmation hearing date
Curious if this will have any weight on Lynn's decision?? My guess is no but its a good effort.
2010 AL West Projections
Nothing much to it fellas (and ladies). Everyone keeps requesting a projection post in the AM thread so here you go. Lets just leave this up projections as far as ranking the teams in order of finishing and their record. Someone can create a fanshot or another fanpost for the discussion.

Josh Hamilton hurt in practice
Report says he is day to day and that he hurt his shoulder diving for a ball in the outfield. So is this how his year is going to go? Sucks!!
Another Shot to the arm of the sale of the Rangers
With the fanshot below and this one, while this isnt significant in terms of $$, puts some serious doubt that a sale will occur before opening day!! Again, i hat you tom hicks!!
Live Chat with JD!!
Check out the chat that JD participated in over at DMN blog site! Some really good questions, and of course you had some pretty stupid ones as well.
I am more and more impressed with JD's willingness to interact and engage the fans of this club! I am sure there are other GMs out there that do this sort of thing but I have to think they are pretty few and far between. Between these chats and events like the Newberg Night, just shows you that JD cares 1) about this team and 2) cares about the fans that pay his sallary!! He even responded to a question stating that he freaquents LSB and would be willing to participate in conversation with us here!! Get on that AJM!!!

Front Page Ranger Story on FoxSports.com
Jon Paul Morosi has a story up on foxsports.com on the First Place Texas Rangers. AJM didn't link it in his morning things so i thought if some do not frequent that site, you might want to take a look. It is a faily straight forward piece but at the least is getting the Rangers some national pub. Morosi has the opinion that most of us here to in that the Rangers are for real and they have a truely legitimate shot of taking down the mediocre AL West. Talks about the much improved defense and its aid on the pitching staff, also with some stats showing that our starters are doing a better job this year. He also points out that the Angels still pose as a threat, especially if they can continut to get healthy, which most of us hear would also agree with. It's a nice piece that even made it on the front page of foxsports.com until it got bumped for today's draft write up. It is now on the front page of their MLB section. Enjoy!
Braves Release Glavine
He just threw a 6 inning scoreless rehab start last night. Not sure what else ATL wanted him to do!!
Harrison to the DL.
The Rangers have officially promoted righthander Tommy Hunter, who will start Game One of today's doubleheader, and to make room on the active roster for Hunter the club has placed lefthander Matt Harrison on the disabled list, retroactive to May 26, with left shoulder inflammation.
Harrison will be eligible for reactivation on June 10.
This was per an email from Jamey.
Looks like we get to put up with Kris Benson for a little while longer!
Dirk's mystery woman arrested, engaged and PREGNANT!!!
The DMN article states that the woman, who had multiple alias', was arrested, and is engaged to Dirk as well as carrying is baby!! More to come on this for sure but I sure hope that Dirk can focus and even take some of this crazyness and use on the court. We need him to have a stellar game again and hopefully someone else will step up. Well, I guess we all know Dirk knows how to pick the ladies!!!
2nd Biggest Upset of the Kentucky Derby ever!!!!!
Mine That Bird, who was 50-1, wins the 135th Kentucky Derby!
Volquez pitching now on ESPN2 for DR in WBC.
Volquez started the game giving up an infield hit, sac bunt w/ error. Walked the next batter with full count and then a wild pitched scored the lead off man. Next batter hit it hard up the middle and Hanley Rameriz knocked it down but threw it away and two more scored. Volzuez struggled with his command but had a nasty slider he got one batter on. The reds are limiting him to just 60 pitches so im guessing he just has one more inning left, if that at all.
I guess this could be the WBC game thread!! Have fun!!
Cant wait till 2 pm baby!!!
Sheets meets with Rangers on Thursday!!
This at least makes me feel good and feel like we are trying bring him here. I know we have done this in the past with other big FA pitchers but i have a good feeling about this one. This is gonna have me looking all of the net all day today and not working!!
So, what are some thoughts on actual contract options that the Rangers can and will offer Sheets. And what do you think it will take to bring him in? This could be the start of a beautiful day!!!
Best Young QB.
So i went out to the other four blogs (Steelers, Broncos, Giants, and Chargers) that Scouts Inc included in their young QB discussion and posed the question to all of them. The majority of the bloggs of course put their guy first, which I guess as a fan makes sense. My thoughts were Big Ben, Romo, Cutler, Eli and Rivers. But i would like you to check out the UNBELIEVALBE ignorance of the bronco's blog. It was pretty rediculous of their thoughts. I wasnt trying to go over anywhere and talk crap about their QB, for even being a ROMO fan, i but Big Ben first. But the talk that Romo has had the worst of the 5 as in the starts to this year just made me completely laugh!! Check it out.
Best Young QB after Brady and Manning (P)?
OK Charger fans. Have a friendly questions from accross the country in Dallas. Im comming over from Bloggin with the Boys with a question about the best "up and comming" young QB in the NFL after Tom and Payton. Want to get your opinions. Scounts Inc put out an article as to who the best young QB was:(in no order) Ben Rothlisburger, Tony Romo, Eli Manning, Phillip Rivers, and Jay Cutler. I think its a great questions to ask and I know your fandom will play into it, but try to look at it through the eyse of someone that has no partiality to anyone on the list.
The question is, who is the best young QB in the league? I guess the best way to look at this, keeping your fandom out of it, is who you would want to start a team of your were to get a new franchise. The arguement that Scounts Inc put out there was Big Ben and Eli have the only hardware. Fair enough. They gave Rivers mad props for palying in the AFC game with the torn ACL last year, which to me doesnt do much bc they lost the game. Cutler, other than two great games this year, hasnt done anything. Their knock on Romo was play in the big games. The only true big game that his QB play wasnt his best was last year agains the GMen. He played well enough to win the Seattle playoff game 2 years ago as a QB. I dont put the drop snap on his "QB" play, but just a crappy fall out. And remember, other than your boy Big Ben, no one does well in their first playoff appearances (aka Payton Manning lost first 6 games)
My thought would be to but Big Ben first, Romo second, Cutler Third and Eli and Rivers fourth and fith (either way). I want to get your opinion as Charger fans on what you would do. I know Eli has a ring, but i do remember last December, everyone in NY was ready to cut off his head and ship him out. I know, as FOOTBALL fans you can admit that your AMAZING DEFENSE won yall that ring (all throughout the playoffs) and Eli just didnt loose you any game. He did step up and make some great plays, but do you think that Eli is truely a GREAT UP AND COMMING QB? Or was he just in the perfect situation, as long as he didnt loose it for you?
I think Tony has what it takes to be good in this league for a long time. As does Big Ben. I really put these two above everyone else. But i must say, if Cutler continues to play like he has started this year, he could be #1 or # 2 next year. I think because i really havent seen enought of Rivers to really comment on. He has some major weapons but just doesnt seem to do much for me. Im open to be convinced otherwise for sure.
Its a tought thought. And i want to try and keep my partiality out of it, but i just see the tangibles and intangibles that Ben and Romo have to be better than Eli as a STAR QB in this league.
Would love your thoughts. Thanks for allowing me to post on your blogg. Good luck!

The "What Ifs" of last night
So this is totally a "what if" discussion. This stems from my thoughts on Washingtons ability as a "game manager".
First of all, i think RW has done an awesome job in getting this team to believe in themselves and he has got them playing and believing like they are for real. My concern of Wash only comes from in game decisions that, to me, are often questionable.
Lets take last nights decision to have MY steal second. I know you want the tieing run on scoring position. But, if Socia knew what he was doing, arent you taking the bat out of Hambone's hands? If Young gets caught, we are all talking about how stupid that decision was and how dumb RW can be.
The situation played out last night and it was in our favor, but how many times is it going to bite us in the butt?
Just a thought and wanted to get thoughts on Wash's in game managing.
Is it good, average, or poor.
1B leaves a sore taste in my mouth
So, i know this might be beating a dead drum but it is killing me what we have over at 1st. Cat is, well he is Cat. You know what you are going to get. 270s 50 or so RBIs but nothing special and doesnt add the POWER bat that you would want following MB or JH. And dont even talk about big red. Im about as fed up with his lack of hitting, especially when it matters, than I am with the 1980s drink Big Red. Shelton has had chance after chance to prove that he can do something on this team and has continued to fail. At least Botts could play defense and left the stupid mental erros at home. (He couldnt hit a big leauge pitcher, but neither can shelton, and he is not near as ugly). And finally our last candidate for 1B, Hank Blaylock. Man i love Hank the Tank, but this is getting a little ridiculous. I know we have areas that we are struggling in, (ie the MOUND, mainly the pen) but 1B is by far our weakest position. My main question is why hasnt Chris Davis gotten any chance up here? I know the kid is young, but man he is knocking the mess out of the ball up in OK. Its just a thought but i am just getting tired of 1B being such a joke on this team.
We will get this silver boot back in Arlington!! GO RANGERS!!!!
