How about that Ed Kranepool?

Does anyone here watch the Venture Bros.? I ask because the voice of Dr.Thadeus Venture is some one i happen to follow on Twitter. He was tweeting comments about the baseball insanity last night. Nothing to get excited about untill this.
could it be the voice behind Dr.Venture is a long time Mets fan?

I need an answer. I love the show and having a nerdy psuedo celeb among are ranks would be kinda cool.

For the first time ever fans can vote for the cover athlete for the 2012 version of Madden NFL football. Each team has a canidate. Our beloved New York Giants have Hakeem Nicks.

Now Michael Vick was on the cover of Madden 2004 and was biten by the curse by hurting his leg. I'm not wishing for an injury..i just want to see the Eagles fail and suffer.

Giants fans let us stuff the box and make mike the cover boy and bring the negative karma associated with it to the eagles.

I posted this in todays game thread and it was recomended i make a FanShot. So this is that shot.

The song is from the 60s. Exact date unknown but it is a lovely little salsa styled song that is an ode to our beloved mets. You could really tweak the lyrics to make it about any team wanting hits..a solid canidate for the 7th inning stretch.

enjoy. I originally found this on uniwatchblog.com so..thanks to those guys

Its not even the regular season and Philly is in mid season form. A columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer has called for raining batteries.

Oh not against our beloved mets, nor a divisional foe, not the Giants, and hell not even the Yankees. No hes calling for skull crushing battery lobs against a player on the Boston Red Sox.

I was unaware there was such hate between the two teams. But columnist, T.J. Furman, wants J.D. Drew to feel the pain for leaving Philly. 13 SEASONS AGO!!!!

Classy. I do want to applaud this guy for getting my Irish up toward Philadelphia and its fans in mid March.

Amazin' Avenue Its late January but who's ready for the season?

Its a very simple question and there will be a poll afterwards. Are you, fellow mets fans, ready for 2011 to get underway?

Football for many felt unfinished. For fellow Giants fans it was a season of turnovers, some Eli's fault others not. A bad secondary that seemed to get torched at the worst time. And Matt Dodge.

For you Jets fans well....it ended just like last year. Except this time with some foot flavor tossed in. Mark Sanchez played well and you got a good season out of Ladanian Tomlinson. Enough of this though, its mets time.

In all likelyhood it wont be a stellar year. But it will be a year of promise and hope as Sandy and the Moneyball Mets look to stear the good ship in the right direction.

Sources close to the New York Mets believe that Jerry Manuel and Omar Minaya will be let go before the playoffs begin. No replacements mentioned and there is no indication the Mets have begun to look.

Amazin' Avenue The worst game you've been to?

Folks, its almost over. The Mets offer us a 4th season full of misery and futility in a row. The outlook for 2011 is partly sunny at best. And all this bad play got me thinking. Well, got me thinking with the help of an old nemesis.

Bobby Cox recently spoke in a Daily News article that hes "got a soft sport for New York."  I bet he does. The Bravos have essentially owned the Mets since the 1990s rolled around. The team that we couldn't beat and kept us from rising to great things, except that time in 2000. And so history repeats itself. The Braves are good again and the Mets are flailing toward the bottom of the division.

But Bobby got me thinking about the worst game i ever went to that, coincidently, featured his Braves.

Amazin' Avenue Remember Bobby Bo, yeah we still owe him money

Before i give you the link and the nice number of years he will be on the mets books, i hope you remember 2000 and the fun we had as fans. Ziele, hampton, piazza...a shot at a title. All because the mets deffered money that we owed Bobby Bonilla. Well that money has come back and the Mets are going to start paying him.  Oh yeah the hit....

A cool 1.2 million for the next 25 years. Yeah...thats right.

25 years.

Amazin' Avenue R.A. Dickey entendre thread

Cause i'm bored and R.A. Dickey has supplied ample girth to the mets starting line up...post your Dickey Love here.

Mets fans love Dick-ey

Dickey pounds phils.

Phillies play with Dickey, still get boned

Dickey Rock Solid in starts

Dickey Pounding the zone

Mets riding dickey for all its worth

R.A dickey just rises to the occasion.

Phillies limp against dickey.

Beating them back with R.A. Dickey

Dickey stands large

Deception in speed by dickey
