Congrats to Quan and Cedric. Best of luck to them in the coming months earning a spot on an NFL roster. The linked blog, NEPatriotsdraft.com, is doing a great job of posting all of the unsigned FA activity in one place. Joe Reedy, a Cincinnati Enquirer reporter broke the Quan signing via his twitter account. Dockery was picked up by the Saints.

***UPDATE*** Texas DE Brian Orakpo was selected 13th in the NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. Good Luck Brian!

The NFL Draft is on today at 3:00 central on ESPN. Personally, I love watching the draft every year. While much of the drama is gone, since the Lions have already signed interception machine Matt Stafford as the #1 pick, the draft still gives us a little taste of football in April Who can forget watching Brady Quinn get snubbed by team after team? Matt Stafford is a talent, he can break plates with the best of 'em. Here's hoping Rak ends up in a good situation with a good team and a good coach. JC25 did a great job of summarizing where Rak might end up....

I love my country. Sand Volleyball is now a D-1 Varsity Sport beginning in 2010 and 2011. The season will be played in the spring semester. By the way, they're calling it "sand volleyball" as opposed to "beach volleyball" so that it will have more appeal to landlocked schools. Like this sport's name will dictate its appeal...
