Hoping Colts new GM will be Reggie McKenzie
Since he joined the team’s front office in 1994, Green Bay’s 170 regular-season wins over that period rank tied for third most with Indianapolis, trailing only Pittsburgh (172) and New England (180). Also in McKenzie’s tenure, the Packers have captured seven division titles, three conference championships and Super Bowls XXXI and XLV.
A former player, coach and now personnel executive, McKenzie oversees Green Bay’s scouting efforts of all professional football leagues, including the NFL, CFL and Arena Football League, as well as all other pro leagues and international players. He also plays an integral role in judging the Packers’ current players and evaluating potential free agents across the league. McKenzie is heavily involved in all of the team’s moves on a daily basis, including all tryouts and transactions.
During the season, McKenzie provides advance scouting reports on upcoming opponents, working closely with Head Coach Mike McCarthy and his staff. He also contributes to the scouting of college prospects, making school visits in both the fall and spring, and works in conjunction with General Manager Ted Thompson in preparation for the annual draft.

Jim "The Vest" Tressel vs Jim "blank stare" Caldwell, let's get it on!
After all I think that colts end up with a Jim as the head coach.
Polian loves Jim, Irsay loves Jim... who is who?

If the Colts don't make it to the SuperBowl
First I'm so happy that finally it's time for football so I can write small stupid posts like this one on stampedeblue.
I was thinking that as of today there is 185 days left until super bowl on feb 5 in Indy. I bet and want the Colts to be there representing the AFC... But what if that's not the case?
What if Colts City becomes host to a Patriot vs Saints game??? nightmare on elm street?
Do you live in Indy? Have any of you have thought of which teams you will hate to face off in Indy if the Colts don't make it?
You see I'm a foreign Colts fan, my city doesn't host superbowls or any other NFL game but we host the after party :) Colts came to the island to celebrate the 2006 SB win.
Maybe my city will host at least a Pro-bowl someday.. It will be an epic party!!!
Maybe the colts aren't done signing FAs just yet.
The question now is what more might the Colts do?
When asked Tuesday morning if Indy was looking at any more free agents, Caldwell smiled and said: “There’s a couple.”
That’s a drastic change for a team that prefers keeping the players it develops rather than signing someone else’s.
via http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=txcoltssims
what do you guys think? could or will we see some more signings? who is left that fits the kind of FA colts would go after and needs?
Kravitz awesome article?????
Can't believe I'm saying this but Kravitz just wrote an awesomely inspiring article.. wow! winning sure give nice to read material but this one actually gave me the "goose bumps"
Michael Lombardi thinks the colts might be interested in Randy Moss
I don't know if I like this idea, but losing Clark is a big blow cuz he demanded double teams and now defenses have one extra body and this could potentially increase Peyton INTs.. What you guys think?

The Blair White Project - Rated R
Rated R(reliable) I’m hoping Blair White stays on the roster, no way another team won’t grab him if the colts try to put him on the practice squad again.. meanwhile and in an attempt to bring him some luck I made a little fan-page where I will be posting his colts career and development in news, videos, pictures or anything related to his game. here is the link The Blair White Project This will be like his colts career journal and I hope it will last for many years. DaJuan Morgan: A safety and a poet
Which would you rather have: A career where you make the Pro Bowl ten times, get elected to the hall of fame, and never win a Super Bowl ... or a long career where you're a solid player, but never make a Pro Bowl, have no shot at the Hall of Fame, but win three Super Bowls?
I'd rather win Super Bowls over any individual accomplishment. Winning a Super Bowl should be the ultimate goal!
Looks like a team first player.
Playoffs? talking about playoffs?
Pierre Garcon hauls in a beautiful one-handed catch for a 26-yard reception vs. the Texans
5 overlooked facts on why picking against the Colts vs the Texans is just plain stupid.
After watching many TV analysts of various networks and some bloggers pick against the Colts this week for the season opener vs the Texans, I believe many factors have been overlooked by them and anyone picking the Texans to win.
- Is September: If you think that beating the Colts in the regular season is hard to do, I got news for you beating the Colts in September is nearly impossible. The Colts are the best team in September (.813). Colts September record is the best winning percentage by any team in any month over the past decade. For those that are weighting their picks based on this pre-season performance I got news for you too. In 2005 the Colts lost all pre-season games(0-5) but won their first 13 games finishing with a 14-2 season.
- Too many weapons: In 2010 the Colts are carnying extraordinary depth at WR,TE and RB. With the return of Gonzo, Wayne, Clark plus now more experienced second year WR Austin Collie and third year WR Pierre Garcon the Colts carry too much firepower for opposing defenses to handle add to that equation the best QB in the league and this offense is one that you just can't bet against it.
- Freeney, Bob Sanders and Coyer: I watched in awe as many analysts and fans were using last season final game against the Texans as a measuring stick on how their offense should be able to dominate the Colts defense. They do have the ability and skilled players to move the ball on any defense, but to use this game in their analysis without even mentioning how undermanned the Colts defense were in that road game without cornerbacks Marlin Jackson and Kelvin Hayden, big time hitter strong safety Bob Sanders, strongside linebacker Tyjuan Hagler and right defensive end Dwight Freeney is just plain stupid. Many experts are looking at the Super Mario macthup against the Colts possible patchwork OL, but how can them just overlooked the macthup of a healthy Dwight Freeney vs a banged up LT and the impact of a healthy Bob Sanders in the more aggressive system now in it's second season that defensive coordinator Larry Coyer has implemented.
- Texans missing parts: The macthup of our super bowl caliber WR corps against a Texans young and inexperienced secondary and the absence of their 2009 defensive rookie of the year linebacker Brian Cushing is somehow overlooked by some experts.
- Peyton Manning: What it is that makes the 4th time MVP Peyton Manning the best QB in the game? You just can't mention just one thing but one quality that just pops up every time people talk about Peyton is his preparation. If many people think Peyton's weekly preparation against defenses makes him great, how lethal would you think Peyton will be with more than 4 months to prepare for a team he had no trouble beating in the past?
Yes the uncertainty of the Colts OL worries all of us, but who knows how they will play come game day?
Can the Colts lose this game? Sure, anything can happen in the NFL, for the Texans this game is certainly their super bowl and the extra adrenaline could turn every single player in a pro-bowl caliber one for just one game.
But to pick against the Colts on September with a healthy pass rush and the above listed facts is just plain stupid IMHO.
My pick? Colts 27 Texans 17

Some candidates for New Colts President
I hate to see our community divided, this is my favorite Colts website but im taking a break form posting fanposts and fanshots until this site decides to move on.
I want to express my feelings about the 16-0, 16-0 has been done before by the Patriots ,do i envy the Patriots Banner in their Stadium? NO. why? cuz that banner is just a reminder of their Super Bowl loss.
Now 16-0 importance as a record is zero in fact we joined them both the 07 Pats and 72 phins as the only 3 teams to be 14-0. Oh the Patriots were 16-0 and we didn't? so what? i dont envy that, to envy is to waste my time.
To get to 16-0 was going to require playing our guys and going all out like a playoff game, on every game thus far we had player injuries, to try to guess who was going to get injured is stupid but risk vs reward ratio has to weight in to make you take a decision on who to play, so anyone that thinks that we should have gone all out to try to tie the Patriots Undefeated Regular season has to agree that he was willing to to see and accept some injuries.
A perfect season has already been done also by the 72 phins so this record is also a tie , im clear that 19-0 has never been done before, phins were 17-0 but 16-0 does not guarantee a 19-0 anyway.
On every game and on every practice there is the risk of injury but when you earn the 1st seed the reward that comes with it is the privilege to give rest and give time to heal those playing hurt, wayne(foot injury),clark(hamstring),Johnson(foot),Peyton(rear end).mathis/freeney(hamstrings),Powers and many others.
That privilege gives our team an advantage over other teams ,I am exited for this year playoff run , I am exited to get to see a Fresh and Healthy Colts team in the playoffs , if we were competitive and winning with a banged up roster this Colts team is a scary team with everyone as healthy as possible, Healthy we are the team to beat. and thats a period.
Preventing injuries on an already thin rooster was the decision made by our organization (Polian/Irsay/Caldwell). a decision that was determined to be in the best interests of the Colts’ Super Bowl chances.
Same Organization that took the decisions that lead this team to its first 14-0 season and to BREAK not tie a consecutive wins record and the most wins in a decade of any decade record.
As fans we need to follow our players if they move on we need to move on with them. If they dont second guess we should not do it either.
For the people betting on what will be the aftermath of all this controversy , some think i will hurt the colts organization. For the Colts to avoid being compared with the atlanta Braves they have to win Super Bowls and i think we will and more than one, the Colts can shake off that reputation.
But how are we going to shake off the reputation we are bringing over ourselves? Example of many; Indy Fans are the new NY yankees fans , if they dont win them all there is riot. Colts fans are the most spoiled brats in the sport, and so on.
To the group of fans that are not happy with Polian's body of work or want Polian and or Caldwell out of Indy , I want to make an election on who of our most vocal fans on the prosecution side of all this, would make a better candidate to fill Polian shoes as Colts Team President. Please cast your vote and if you want to nominate anyone else do so in the comments.
Until we do like our players and move on this is my last fanpost. GO COLTS!

Wrong timing for the right decision
If the Lombardi doesn't come then why would you want 16-0 for? Pats done that , its not worth anything unless you can win it all.
And if the Lombardi comes then it will prolly be cuz we had all possible starters healthy.
So lets get over this please, i did, we knew ,we knew this is the philosophy of this team and thats why we have won more games than any other team this decade.
For the Jets game our starters were given more than enough time to put the game away, Peyton was overthrowing some balls and we settle for FG instead of scoring a TD.
Then our special teams just gave them an easy TD, come on, If this game was closer than it should like many other games this season that took all of our team effort to win and with maximum effort on a contact sport comes possible injuries, see Garcon, Mathis, Freeney,CJ,Addai.
You know we need those guys as healthy as possible not limping , not playing on one leg, we will face the Chargers or the Pats or both, do we want the best possible fresh and healthy team for those fights? I do.
Healthy team does not equal a guaranteed Lombardi but it give us the best chance at it, we have lost too many playoff games with key players out or banged up (see. past years vs SD).
Every game this season has finish with a long injury report, thanks God we have the luxury(1st seed) to give time to those key players to heal and be 100% for when it matters.
Now what annoyed me was the timing to pull Peyton and the guys, it was bad ,i mean horrible, but that one falls on Caldwell, and he prolly was giving Peyton time to redeem for those overthrown balls early and for him to have a good drive to seal his MVP and complete his milestones.
But other than a horrible timing for the decision to pull them there is nothing i would have done different, Caldwell gave this team a full half for them to try to put this game away and they played poorly, if this team was healthy with Jackson ,Bobzilla still on our roster and a healthy depth then going for it and giving all out to win in icy conditions(injury valley) will be more logical but the way our injury reports have been for the past few games it is better to give time to heal to those guys.
Well i just want to ask all of you to forget about this and to support our team that has given us so many happy endings in this decade, they need us now and we can't fail them, its time to be grateful for having a great team and for having Peyton Manning, i saw a glimpse of how could this team be without him and i didn't like it one bit.
GO COLTS!!!! Lets get that Lombardi trophy !!!!
