AP: Travis Henry arrested after alleged cocaine deal

Henry and James Mack were arrested a day earlier after the two met to buy cocaine from a person who was cooperating with authorities, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Yeesh, I know he's had some off the field trouble, but this is completely out of the blue.

I hope he's able to get the legal and (if necessary) drug recovery help he needs. Sounds like a bad, bad situation.

Elarton out "indefinitely", Juan Rincon to be recalled.

The Indians say Scott Elarton has a non-baseball-related medical condition and will be out indefinitely. Fingers crossed that it's nothing too bad.

I know there had been some speculation that Elarton would take CC's vacated roster spot, but Indians.com says it's going to be Juan Rincon.

So who starts Tuesday in Detroit?

Assuming C.C. is gone (and if he isn't gone, he's close enough to gone that they'd probably hold him out of the game), they're going to need a starting pitcher tomorrow night.

Looking at the Bisons, it appears it's Matt Ginter's turn in the rotation. Brian Slocum and Tom Mastny are also hanging around Cleveland looking for something to do, so they would seem to be options as well. If they really want to get crazy, they could call Scott Lewis up from Akron - he's scheduled to start Tuesday. John Halama threw five innings on Friday night, so he'd be going on three days rest if they use him.

If it's a done deal and there's room on the 25, I'd give Ginter the start, not that it's a great option. Not that it really matters at this point.

Why, yes. Yes it can.

After he was called out on strikes in the ninth inning of Triple-A Buffalo's 5-4 extra-inning loss to Rochester, Cabrera raised his bat over his head in the direction of Klein. Cabrera stepped toward the umpire as he continued to shout, while third baseman Andy Gonzalez tried to restrain him.

Torey Lovullo says Cabrera was just trying to hit himself in the helmet with his bat, but the MLB.com report suggests there could be a fine and/or suspension on the way.

It's that time again. This month's calendar will help you count down the days until the Tribe officially raises the white flag and ships C.C. Sabathia (and Paul Byrd, if someone's really desperate) to the highest bidder. Exciting times to be an Indians fan.

You'll notice that the July 19th game in Seattle isn't televised. That's due to Fox's national blackout on Saturday afternoon and their lack of interest in televising a game between the teams with the two worst records in the league.

Also, four non-All Star Break days off scheduled. Including the ASB, that's seven days off this month. I can't remember the Indians ever having a month with less scheduled games.

It's an interleague bonanza! I'd say something snarky about how you can use this calendar to help you avoid watching the 2008 Cleveland Indians, but we're a hardy bunch. If we can sit through Jon Perlman and Jaime Navarro and Fran Mullins and Aaron Boone, we can live through this, right? Anyway, click below for this month's wallpaper. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to get this done in time - my computer's acting up like crazy - but I got it working long enough to make this month's wallpaper schedule.

I can't believe it's been 27 years since Large Lenny's perfect game. I was five years old, but clearly remember watching the final out with my older brother. Nice to see that the video of the game is still available via MLB.com.
