I've been dragged through the mud since 1960 ( I'm 71 years old ) and for the past eleven years it's been much harder following the birds. Why? you ask; because when I first looked at Andy Reid and his qb choice I knew that this team would be a FAILURE. I don't count their success in regular season play, or their NFC championships as a gauge of success. A Super Bowl would have done me fine, even though the question that is raised by a majority of sports professionals alludes to: "would you rather have a team that wins most of the time as opposed to a team that loses most of the time and wins a Super Bowl?" That's a specious, illogical response to those of us who know the logical answer, "Super Bowl." The real facts are; Andy Reid will never win the Big One, and judging by the holes in this present team (LB,S,both lines, special teams. it's only a matter of time before not only will they not win a Super bowl, but they will slide down in the standings. So as a once avid fan I will point out,at every opportunity, the "fool's gold Standard", that was presented to all of us. I grew up in North Philly, played halfball against the right field wall of Sheibe park (twentieth street) Four children later, and nine grandkids, I love sports, played ball all of my life, and now live in Cheltenham, Pa.
