The difference between the number of Lakers banners and Celtics banners is negligible at this point.  And, the Lakers have been in many more Finals than the Cs have.  Let's just say "one of the greatest franchises in NBA history" and leave it at that.  I think we need to be more accurate and face the fact that the Lakers have been the dominant franchise over the past thirty years.  They caught up thanks to some horrible Cs' luck and fantastic work by the Lakers front office especially Jerry West.
