This joke at the expense of our least-favorite anus-faced center fielder gave me a smile after a Giants road loss.

McCovey Chronicles Trade?

This is not a request for your exhaustive opinions on whether they should make a trade, but based on your experience observing the GINATS BRAS do you think they will make a move?

Sabean seems to recognize that one bat for this team will not a division winner make. But they're only a game out of the wild card and the temptation might be too great. The other thing to think about is if a sell-off is plausible while we're ostensibly in contention for the playoffs.

So:

Poll
Which of the following scenarios is most likely before the deadline?
CANE FOR FEELDER (or similarly dramatic move)

Trade prospects (Tim2, etc) for an "impact" bat (Nick Johnson, etc)

Trade Sanchez for a bat
125 votes
No significant trades

Move Winn, Molina or both for prospects

AZ Snake Pit Frosty reception for Big Unit?

What's up with the lack of love for the best player in your franchise's history? Fans were actually booing the man that threw a perfect game for you guys and sealed your World Series win against the Yanks. When he was pulled in the 3rd yesterday, all he got was a golf clap. Why the hate?

That's all. I need more words to fill out 75. I think that should be enough.

McCovey Chronicles Jesus Raptor: Why not?

I have to admit I've been mildly surprised by the lack of noise about Jesus Guzman this spring. I've of course never seen the kid play, but his past winter and spring so far seem to suggest that he might have a quaility major league bat.

So, tell me why I should lose the suspicion that he will have a significant bench role on the 2009 Giants by the ASB.

Is he really that limited defensively compared with our other options for bench infielders? Does nobody believe due to the lack of a track record? What gives?
