The Only Colors Breaking Down - Kalin Lucas

Wow there’s so much to say; I mean he’s quite stacked up the stat’s here playing ball for the green. So lets start out with this, a Detroit born guard started at St. Mary’s Prep in Michigan. ‘Too Easy’ as his team would call him. As known as... Kalin Lucas.

Too Easy has three years so far in his resume for college basketball, he’s a junior  for your information. So many people have evaluations for ‘some’ of the top players that play for #1 teams (by the way he’s #1) in huge powerhouses. But I believe that if we didn’t have Lucas, A) No Final Four on 2008. B) Izzo would be no where- well you know what that’s being to harm on ‘em. It’s sort of flipped flopped in both ways. Like 2 is better than 1. Without a guard, Izzo would be in turmoil, and without a coach Lucas would be lost. C) The fantasy Spartan team we’ve seen, would MAY NOT have done some of these feats.

He punches in an average of this season 15.6 points per game and 4 assists per game. This all show is a team player. The opposite of players like King James, and yes I believe LeBron James is almost a ball hog. His 3 percentage from the arc is .384, he’s kept 40% solid in his 3 years. But my favorite part, is that Kalin last season had 41 points in total for 3 pointers.

That there my fellow bloggers is some material that scouts for the NBA will look for. So now let’s head into more depth of his stats. Six blocks last year, one the year before (being a Freshmen). He average’s 1.6 rebounds a game, round it up to 2 - last year. That’s just the main focus on facts of being a guard.

But as I always pictured it, your not known for what people recorded but what kind of act you put onto the opposing team. That is why he was the 2009 Big Ten player of the year. My favorite game that reminds me of Lucas lightin’ up the other team is his career high of points a game. 24 points, what a stunner. This occurrence took place on 29th of January in 2009. He also had nine field goals. I mean what can’t he do?

He’s 6 feet, and 190 pounds. Quick, agile, and mobile - what a run ‘n’ gun team needs. Hustling down with bigger guards, he can keep up. He’ll out run and be great on the baseline. He always tries to go in towards the net and not stand back for a 2 or lucky three. Aggressiveness is key in Basketball and that gives a ton of drive. So I’m looking towards his Senior year. And that sums up Kalin Lucas.

 Go green.

Bless You Boys Not Really on Topic but look at this....

All right so right now I have at least 5,000 baseball cards in my room right now and I have triples of  each player. I don't know what to do with a couple but there's this really nice one that has a lot of value. I'm posting this on Bless you Boys because I'm not that informed on the Yankees and also I don't have a subscription to them.

I have 3 cards. There all the same - A Derek Jeter Mint Minor League Card before he hit the Yankees. I don't know what the value is and I'm just wondering. I think it might be big? Hmmm. I don't know if I should keep it because I'm not a big fan of him and all that.

How much would you pay for it or sell it for? Please post, I wanna buy Blogging For Dummies. Hahaha, this is one hobby I'd like to keep up.

From,

A Loving Tigers Fan

Bless You Boys Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda? - Pudge

AH, waking up everyday and seeing an edited picture of Rodriguez blasting the guts outta of a baseball with a bat makes me wonder. What would happen if we still kept this guy? Pudge, was my Tiger. All of you may differ but to me he made the difference. He was a main key point to the turning of this team. Some of you may miss him, or not. All depends on what kind of impression he out on you. Rodriguez got $40 million dollars playing for Detroit. Wow, some big bucks there.

I’m not talking about what he did in Florida or in Texas. I’m talking about what he did as an impact on the Tigers. The world series champion played for us for four years. In Texas he played for 11 years. Thats a difference to me. It’s amazing though seeing us without Pudge starting this season.

Some of you might say all ready he’s long gone. Yeah I guess so when you think about it he is. In 2006 he threw out 45.7% the players on base trying to steal. Peak? Yeah its a catchers dream doing that. All in the Tigers era for this 38 year old.

There was also a change in that season of 2006. He was put as a first baseman a couple games. It showed thats there’s one position for him and thats it, catcher. He caught Justin Verlanders no hitter that season scratch that it was in 2007. Quite a spectacular event, and a lot credit goes to him.

He may be a traitor, going to the EVIL EMPIRE but he’s always remembered as a Tiger.

Pride Of Detroit Detroit Lions: In a Nutshell

My evaluation, my thoughts, and my opinion's on this team. You may differ onto these ideas but I'm just throwing what a true fan has to say. We all feel pain at times, but when it comes to a team that you grew up watching and was in the through and through you get attached. Its like addicting, watching them lose all the time. Better luck next time, or my favorite 'we lost because he's injured'. You know, thats what keeps us coming back for more. THIS IS SPORTS! And thats why there is hope... With so many changes, its just the 'beginning' of a new "golden age" as everyone is calling it.

It's getting kind of easy to see them lose. You get used to it. You get hopes, then they drop. But I truly think that later on, if us fans can go through this time  (man do I sound corny) we will end up seeing a winning streak or some kind of record. We can do it. I know we can, Scharwz knows what he's doing with the draft picks. If your reading this Scharwz (I doubt it) us fans support you. You seem our savior.

You know what it reminds me of, since this is a Michigan team. It reminds me of Nick Saban taking the Michigan State Spartans to a fantasy season with a medicore team. Thats what coaching plus hope plus fans equals. Not really good defense, a rookie quaterback, and some hard hitters can be turned into something. If we get to the point when we start rebuilding from a hard start, we can get some where. It starts with decisions, thats key. It doesn't start with getting these fresh new college graduates. It starts with going from bottom to top and going through it all.

Not sure what's next? We'll see at the Combine and the Draft.

Pride Of Detroit Season Tickets, 2010 Season

Hey, gimme a shout out on what you think. Take a vote! Some people think that there's going to be a huge change by next season. But really just next season, not for the next 5 years or so. Will there be change and will you witness it? Not sure, maybe hearing about the picks you might. It's always great getting to have a 'permanent' seat. You might wanna see these teams play in real person or just watch it on TV.

Pride Of Detroit Secondary Studs, and more and more Decisions

So what now? What are we supposed to do now, complain more? I don't think we should. Its your decision... What do you think would happen if the Lions actually won about 6 or 7 games. Satisfying, not in a million years to some people. Everyones all hollering about 'this team' but with a new coach, we need time. Off season, no way. Everyone (employed) works year round. Thats what the Lions should learn. Being payed 3x the amount of an average Joe, they have the time to excell. Now I not asking for these crazy workouts. Maybe just relaxing and trying to think what you could do next would work. Maybe run 2 times a week. The little things count, watching video is key. It might help - it might not help but I'm just throwing it out there because we have tried basically everything.

Second pick, great - we need to make the best of it. I have a hard time keeping up with the pick ideas but, I'm seeing some prospect in a couple of defensive players. Comment and tell me what we should do with it. It's almost to early to find rumors but doing my research I found this:

Thinking we'll need a better secondary, looking at some of these applicants I'm impressed.

- Jerome Murphy USF Senior Defense CB

Hearing he can run the 40 yard dash in 4.48 and being 6-1, and invited to the Combine, take a look at Murphy. The average height of a NFL cornerback (5-11), he can put some stock unto the this secondary or even if he starts he'll projectively stop the 'smaller' receivers. He weighs a total of 192 pounds and insiders are saying that he'll end up in the 3rd of 4th round.

-Patrick Robinson Florida State Senior Defense CB

Personally I'd take Robinson over Murphy because of his stats. In his senior year Patrick had 26 solo tackles and 1 interception. Running a 4.42 in the 40 yard he hits the radar under a lot of other corners. His height is 5'11 and his weight is 194 pounds. He is projected into the 1st round. Check him out at the Combine.

It maybe even starts with the top, we need a new owner. (Writing about that one next week)

Heres a link on Robinson if you want to read it.

LOUIS DELMAS - A Key Defensive Player
As being a Rookie Louis Delmas Safety has proved much as playing on defense. With 47 solo tackles and coming from Western Michigan this 5'11'' and 202 lb. 22 year old has much in store. Sacked and Picked off a QB in the last nine games

Pride Of Detroit Kevin Smith, Calvin Johnson Week 12

Well, as we come to Week 12 in the National Football League the Detroit Lions with a losing record are going against the Green Bay Packers. 2-8 Lions, and 6-4 Packers are going to play at Ford Field on Thanksgiving Day. Some of the Lions so called "star" players might not play. They are:

Kevin Smith RB with a 560 yard season rushing season so far is

Prob.

Calvin Johnson a Stud Receiver (not in his Prime) 6'5'' and 3 years of Experience in the NFL is

Que.

Putting this into Conclusion, The Lions are most likely not to pull this off PERIOD.
