So the Cam Newton affair now means that anybody can market any athlete, as long as nobody can prove that the athlete knew that he was being marketed.

So what does that mean for the Albert Means affair? As I recall (and I can't say that I do) Albert didn't know he was being marketed - the high school coach was being paid to *influence* him, not give him a cut...

Or am I remembering wrongly?
