Lebron's Ego
I have been reading this site for the past 2 years and very rarely post. I am really excited about the Boston series and in all likelyhood the Orlando series to follow, its like the road to redemption from last year leads directly to championship...there is one opinion I would like to share.
I know this is late and that Chicago is already eliminated, so ESPN won’t be feuding Joakim and Lebron. We won’t be seeing replays of Lebron’s dancing from earlier in the season before and randomly throughout the game, but I am absolutely sure that his sportsmanship including his attitude and bravado will be turned into some sort of fodder for the soap opera story lines of ESPN and trolls alike.
I just wanted to say… I agree, I think he can be arrogant completely disregarding the “feelings” of his opponents. I only have one thing to say about it… I LOVE IT. In fact, I wish he would be more brazen; guarantee a win, go on record saying the ring is his, tell Boston to send everything at him they still can’t stop him.
Mohammed Ali told the world he was the greatest, Moses Malone said, Four, Four, Four* Babe Ruth called his home run, and Joe Namath guaranteed his win. Each of these moments are born out of hubris, but create a myth-like remembrance of the events. I want my myth…. So go ahead Lebron dance, tell reporters if you wanted to you would be the top scorer every year, drink it up and give us a show.
*I know that they didn’t exactly follow through, but come it’s a great story*
