Rufus on Fire We offered Ray Felton with a qualifying offer... Now what?

I understand the reason why they offered the qualifying offer to Ray Felton because he did improve under Coach brown's tutelege. He is a good enough point guard but he can be frustrating at times. What's worse, we have DJ and he could be good enough to start ahead of Ray right now.

We could possibly find a solution to the dilemma by possibly trading either Ray or DJ to the Celtics. With Stephon leaving for free agency, and their mikki moore experiment going bust, their bench is in dire need of a bench overhaul. They are so desperate to fill in the holes on the bench that they talked about trading Rondo and Ray Allen for Barbosa and Stoudamire. We could use that to offer a better deal.

If we offered Raja Bell, Nazr Mohammed, DJ,  and Emeka Okafor for Ray Allen and Kendrick Perkins we would be filling our need for a go to scorer and we would not be losing much on defense with Perkins in the middle. We can replace DJ through the draft with a glut of point guards in the draft. At # 12 we can still grab Jrue Holiday, Patty Mills, and even Brandon jennings.

If we roll the dice on DJ we can change the trade and replace DJ with Ray felton and get to Boston to add Tony Allen or Brian Scalabrini. We could also ask for a youth brigade of Giddens, Pruit and Walker.

Its a win-win scenario where Boston would get decent bech production and cap relief when Garnett's contract expires and Bobcats would get the go to scorer we need and resolve our problem with the point guard rotation. We also get rid of the heavy contract of Nazr.

What do you guys think?
