Tour for OMHR
Tiggerhawk here, still a graduate student at Purdue. As service to my research building, I am requested to give occasional tours to dignitaries, special visitors to Purdue's campus, explaining what's so special about the research facility and the projects inside. On June 4, I will be one of several tour guides with Purdue's athletic coaches. The purpose of the visit is to help the athletics staff/coaches attain a “better knowledge of Discovery Park and what they are doing not only for Purdue University, but for research.” I think this visit could also be an epic opportunity for trolling and/or infiltrating OMHR's inner sanctum. Sadly, the most creative thing I've got so far is to wear my black shoes with the gold laces that I bought at the bookstore my freshman year. If you have suggestions, please let me know. I'll let you know what I end up doing.
Trophy ideas for OMHR game
Okay folks, now that we have settled the issue with the Cy-Hawk trophy, it is now time to identify the trophy for our other important rivalry game. I want to suggest something that really describes the formation of this rivalry, i.e. "leftovers".
Here's a list to start us off:
Any other suggestions?

Mason for Purdue!
France Córdova, President of Purdue University, recently announced this next fiscal year at Purdue will be her last. Does this open up a mechanism for removing Sally Mason from Iowa City? I don't necessarily want her here, but I'd rather have her mucking things up here in West Lafayette than in Iowa City. That way she can have what she wants, a campus community like Purdue's.
Some descriptors that come to mind: weak, boring, uneventful, flat, smelly...

Who sees Tigerhawk and sees that? Seriously?
The media is against OMHR!
When my blood pressure settled down after that crazy dropped pass by IU's Belcher on Saturday, I opened up my facebook to see, er, to read one of my fellow graduate students here at Purdue ripping into Big Ten Network for their handling of air time.
The BTN-HD programming was Purdue-Wisconsin. However, with time still remaining in that game, BTN decided to put the UI-IU game onto the HD channel without any warning or direction on how to stay with the Purdue game. The explanation given to my acquaintance was that the potential upset of Iowa was supposedly more interesting to B11 fans (locally?).
Additionally, I took the opportunity to yell at them because Iowa's game had started on the BTN-HD channel, then suddenly cut without warning to the Purdue game, leaving me to watch the middle of the game in standard definition.
My hubby and I the other night joked about a new silicon rubber wrist band of the LiveStrong, Princess Jenna variety. It might be a little late, but I would totally dig an "AnkleStrong" wrist band to help bring awareness and financial support to those afflicted with ankle injuries* of all kinds. Anyone with me?
*myself included.
