Jags fire Del Rio, owner sells team
Watch Polian hire Del Rio.........I couldn't resist
Colts coaches swap duties
Am I stupid? I don't understand this. Maybe Peyton has a preference?
Anyone got info on the progress of Colts IR's?
I can find nothing on rehab or progress of guys like Sanders, Bullitt, Powers, Clark, et al. Anyone have news? Can we expect news from the club in the offseason, or is all this stuff kept secret until camp? No news of Bullitt really doesn't make sense after how long he has been out. Maybe somebody will try to interview some of our IR list and find out? The lack of info on these guys is puzzling to me.
Anybody else find this win satisfying?
I don't usually engage in a lot of arguments and shit talk, but I did step into the trap a little bit before this game. Nothing particularly more serious than tiffs, but, like I said I don't usually participate in it. This time though, with some of the crap being spewed back and forth between the two sets of fans, it became a bit coarse. This game held a little more importance for me though, because I carried a bit of bitterness into kickoff time. Well, the upshot is we kicked they ass, and all the crap became drivel. I confess to being somewhat juvenile for this game, but it sure felt good to be yelling "take that, you mouthy bitches!" at the TV set. Just had to get that off my chest. Very satisfying game.....anybody else think so?
Good one from 18 to 88, Psych test analysis
I found this to be a great look at part of the Colts evaluation of their draft prospects.
Chargers Cut LT
End of an era...........guy was special.
Florio: Source says Freeney's injury worse than reported.
I know, I know. It's Florio. But the history on injury reports with the Colts indicates there may be something to this. Hope not. Hope it's just BS because this is a boring week for football news.
Anybody know about Freeney's foot?
Freeney went out in the fourth quarter gimpy on his foot. Is that the lis franc foot? Have there been any reports on what exactly the injury was? Lordy, I hope he's OK for the Super Bowl.....It would be such a shame for him to have to sit it out, not to mention we need him out there chasing Brees or Favre around. I have looked everywhere I know and have found nothing. Hopefully, somebody will come up with a report soon.
Forgotten Man?
There is a story that I haven't seen yet...maybe it's been written, but like I said, I haven't seen it yet. Why no mention of Pierre Garcon? I happen to think that he may possibly be the weapon that kills the Jets. Last weekend, the Jets played a lot of man to man coverage. The talk has been that Revis will shut down Reggie (which I don't believe for a minute), yet no mention of what Garcon is capable of against man to man defense. I think if NY tries the same strategy against the Colts that was used against San Diego, Garcon and possibly Collie could go off big this Sunday with the attention being given to Wayne and Clark. There has been talk that the Colts won't have the opportunity to go deep because of the Jets pass defense. I think not. The only thing that will keep the Colts from going deep would be an excess of the blitz, which may put Peyton on the ground a time or two, but eventually will get the Jets cut to peices with three step or less drop passes, as well as draws and screens. Add to this the fact that a rookie quarterback facing two healthy all pro defensive ends almost quarantees turnovers. I think the Colts burn NY early, with 10 - 14 points, and force Sanchez to pass, which ultimately will play directly into our hands. Watch Garcon this weekend, I think he will have a career game, and to a lesser degree, Collie too. Watchoo think?
The stupidity has started.
Everyone I have talked to, and most of what I am reading and hearing from the "prognosticators" is saying that the Jets have the right stuff to derail the Colts. You know, this stuff gets tiring. The Jets have the pass defense to shut down Manning and Co. The Jets run game will keep the ball out of Mannings hands. Blah, Blah, Blah. These fools have been wrong all damned year, yet they still insist on the same old tired crap. Hell, we've been supposed to loose just about every game since the Patriots victory. How dark is it where these mooks keep their heads? If memory serves, our first team left the Jets game after scoring fairly handily. The Jets are to be congratulated for their upset victory over San Diego, but under no circumstances does this guarantee victory over the Colts. I don't give a damn how much these paid mooks, or the unpaid ones for that matter insist differently. By the way, I will take any bet from mooks who think the Jets are assured victory next week. It might be a good bet that the next bozo who says such to me will recieve a bitch slapping.
USA Today NFL is a retard
Sandy Eggo is ranked number 1 this week. Colts 2. Holy crap, do these people really breath air?

Owner should speak
18 to 88 continues to post fresh and knowledgable threads on the Jets debacle. His perspective over the last couple of days is quite different than most. I like it.
This made me feel much better than I did yesterday. Far and away the best comments I have read on our first loss.
The Colts have clowned the Patriots. They have officially announced that they believe what New England did in '07 was stupid. They are openly mocking them for playing hard against the Giants and losing the Super Bowl. They just gave the middle finger to Belichick and called him a moron. They are publicly declaring his decision a mistake. That's not a bad thing.

Schein gives props to Colts
For the most part, I think this guy is a clown. But this show of respect to the Colts for their clinching in November hits the nail on the head.
Hey, ND fans! Terrail Lambert signed to Colts practice squad
http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2009/oct/07/colts-sign-lambert-for-their-practice-squad/
I would have put this in the Fan Shots section, except I thought this should be seen. Is this a possible move to get a kick return guy? Lambert played his high school ball in my backyard. My son ran track and school boy football against him for years. Lambert, speed wise was a man among boys and was the only guy who could beat my son in the 400 when they were kids. Lambert put up two 4.2x 40 yd. times on his pro day. This kid returned kicks in HS, and I think punts with ND. Pretty good corner too. Whatcha think?
E-Fos gets some love
I for one would love to see him carry the ball via pass or handoff. That guy always looks like he is enjoying himself out there.
Colts' Big Wins Mask Serious Problems in Run Blocking, Rush Defense
This guy is harshing my gig, but makes some valid points.
I liked in week 4
The tribute to Edge. Freeney turning the doctors to bitches. Keiaho getting a sack and a fumble recovery.......
Good Article on Edge's Return
Insight on a great player, teamate, and family man. Not to mention a huge part of the Colts' winning tradition in Indy.
Kravitz latest
This latest article is full of truths, but I thinks it earns Kravitz a new nickname.........Bob Buzzkill
Idiot style predictions...
OK, it's slow at work, and the glow of the Cardinals game has faded. So I am going to submit my ridiculously stupid predictions for the next game on the schedule. No, I am not clairvoyant. I have no remote veiwing skills.........I am just bored. Be advised before reading, I am a shameless homer and have an active imagination.
Garcon!
I might be a little bit too optomistic, but I don't think so. Pierre Garcon is beginning to look like a monster. The way he is carrying himself on the field is just impressing the hell out of me. I think he has an immense upside even after what he has already shown. This second year player out of Div III is taking no crap from anyone. He appears to be playing with somewhat of a chip on his shoulder, which I just freaking love. The guy runs after the catch like a fullback with tailback moves. Has a straight arm like a pile driver, and tries flat back guys he can't get around. I have seen him put three guys in the grass and run through them on his way to clutch gains or TD'S. Our other receivers will take a dive in order to avoid a hit, (which I don't disagree with in most cases), but Garcon will try to plant you. You just gotta love this.
I know it's only preseason but....
There are a few things that are really bothering me. The first being the defensive performance. I realize that we had a few guys dinged, but for crissakes I would think that the guys who started would use this as an opportunity to step up and show coaches and fans their best. I have always felt that Freddy Keiaho got a raw deal by being released. Based on what he showed me today, I now feel the Colts cut the wrong linebacker this past week. Dammit Freddy, you stunk the place up today! Four missed tackles that I saw. Dude, I learned in High School to keep my head up and wrap when making a tackle. It looked today like all the Colts linebackers made a pregame deal that only safeties could make friggin tackles. The tackling by the defense as a whole sucked. Secondly, what happened to the commitment to getting the defense off the field so Peyton could get more opportunities to score? The third down performance was non freaking existant. Thirdly, I hope to gosh somebody, anybody steps up and shows that they can return a punt or kickoff, or field position is going to be a way bigger issue than it should be. I know it's preseason, but jeez, isn't that when you work on the main issues you need to improve on? Right now for the Colts, the focus just needs to be simplified to tackle, block, catch and run. There is no reason that a team with the kind of talent we have, including the backups shouldn't have the pride to put up a decent performance, preseason or not. Okay, I'm done, stick a fork in me. It will hurt less than watching our defense today.
