Pride Of Detroit THE PRIDE WILL RUN WILD

It seems we have a lot of DIE HARD fans on this site. I am very happy about it, the loser LIONS of the past do not mean anything to any of us, we put it behind us looking for bright spots, sharing optimism, and falling over drunk with Kool-Aid. Sean you need to put a bang it here button that looks like the Kool-Aid man. Every time some one feels like taking a drink, they can click the Kool-Aid guy. then we can see how much Kool-Aid were really drinking.

Pride Of Detroit Suh at 2

After trading another defensive player and acquiring another offensive player i feel a little confused. While i thought our offense showed signs of becoming elite in a couple years, our defense just didn't seem to improve like i thought it would. Ive wanted Suh since December. Now i can loosen the collar and breathe a little now. This article makes me feel a hell of a lot better.

My only question now is.... where and when do we replace Ernie Sims, I liked him, he had a good attitude, i wish him well in Philly. Is this years draft shaping up to be 75% defense? I sure hope so, at least with our first 4 picks.

The fourth round has Potential starters as well. Al woods is the 100th ranked player in the 2010 draft. According to

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/tracker#dt-tabs:dt-by-grade/dt-by-grade-input:4  Another option for this pick would be to trade it to Seattle for LG Rob Sims, thus filling the greatest need on our offensive side of the ball. I think Mayhew has a few tricks up his sleeve come draft day. If Mayhew is able to pull the trigger on trading back in the first round, then I can see the possibility of the Lions landing Sims. I for one am a huge fan of trading our 4th rounder for him.  And honestly I cant believe they haven't pulled the trigger yet. Once again I took 2 players that fit our needs that were ranked higher than our pick at 100.

The third round has some interesting prospects to say the least.  There are a lot of potential starters for our team in this round.  Donnavan Warren was rated #63 overall, I'm trying to be realistic about players actually being there. But there still is a chance he falls to us, hopefully for our sake he does. It would be nice to hear a good argument that Warren could fall to us, i know how a lot of people love from POD. Ed Dickson was the 66th rated player on:
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/tracker#dt-tabs:dt-by-grade/dt-by-grade-input:3  Im taking the 2 players rated above the 66th pick for this poll.

There are some really good players in the second round.  Brandon Spikes is considered the 34th best player in this draft. Ryan Matthews and Kareem Jackson are rated higher than him so hopefully one might fall to us. The other options are players who fit our needs. Once again if you feel like i left someone out of this poll please let me know!

Devin McCourty, Everson Griffen, and Bruce Campbell all had first round grades, but its still possible one of them fall to us. Heres the link..... http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/tracker#dt-tabs:dt-by-grade/dt-by-grade-input:2

Lets all do a mock draft. We will see what the majority of lions fans think. I am using the grading sheet from nfl.com. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/tracker#dt-tabs:dt-by-gradetheres the link for it. I am selecting players close to our picks that fit our needs and guys that have visited the lions.  If you feel like i left some one out of this pull that belongs here let me know.

Pride Of Detroit The great debate

Suh, Okung, Berry, Mccoy    who will it be? Does it really matter? Either way we are going to get pure talent on this team. Do we take a corner, left guard, left tackle, or a running back in the second round, the hell if I know they havent drafted yet. All I can tell you, is that I finally have faith in the front office of the Lions. They keep proving to me that they know what the hell they are doing. I am finally looking forward to paying $300 for Sunday Ticket.

As a Lions fan living on the Wisconsin and Illinois state line, I am enjoying watching this new brain trust turn this team around. Its only a matter of time before we start kicking the shit out of the Bears and Packers again. I cant wait to rub it in their faces.

As for the loyal Lions fans on this site, its been a pleasure arguing with you. Arguing means that you care about your team, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Hopefully in a couple years we will be arguing about which Lions victory was better, and not draft picks.

Now lets start kicking some ass on the feild, get to the playoffs, and hopefully a superbowl.

Pride Of Detroit DeAngelo Williams

I remember hearing a while ago that he was on the trading block. I just want to see what you guys think of him and what would be logical for a trade to get him. I really dont care if we get him or not, but he would be a nice addition to our offense. Between Kevin Smith and Williams we could probally get a full year out of the both of them, lol.

Pride Of Detroit Rumors

OK poders fill me in with your input.

Glen Dorsey, whats the chances he comes here and what do we trade for him?

Shaun Rodgers, will probally be traded, any chances he comes back?

Aquan Boldin, his trade value has dropped any takers on him?

Aaron Kampmon, i heard a couple rumors he would be a good fit with us.

Remember we have Julian Peterson and Ernie Sims we could probally trade strait up for some of these players, and draft linebackers. Just imagine our D line with Kampman, Rodgers, and Dorsey.

So just something thats been driving me nuts since i dont live in Michigan or subscribe to espn, tell me what you guys are hearing in Detroit. Much Appreciated.

Pride Of Detroit In my opinion

To me the lions are just a couple guys away from being a complete team. After watching the game today i realize that we need to address a couple of positions in the draft and free agency. Our D line needs someone to create havoc every play, if we draft Suh then that spot will be filled, helping and making the players aroud him better. Free agents that are available and most likley to be signed by detroit would be Ray Edwards from the Vikings or Kyle Vanden Bosch only because of the Schwarts connection. As far as our O line goes, we need to address our guard positions. The line is weak and needs in my opinion some young blood for Stafford. So i say lets draft our guards. As far as our play makers on offense go, we need a solid #2 WR. I dont think we will draft one so heres some free agents that could possibly be picked up. Steve Breaston, Kevin Walter, and Jason Avant. Remember im trying to be realisitic about the free agents. Kevin Smith, Maurice Morris, and Aaron Brown will hold down the RB position for one more year, unless a top RB in the draft falls to us. Alright back to the defensive side of the ball. Our LBS are solid and have great depth, and would like to leave them right where they are. NO trading Sims, resign Foote, and Levy is great coming off the bench and filling in. We all know our corners are weak, but in my opinion they are better than our O line and D line. All we need is better corners and depth at safety. We should be able to get a starting CB in the draft, who i dont know. I guess my whole point is we need to rejuvinate our offensive and defensive line first and fast, get people in and get them signed. If the lines improve 15 to 20 % from last year then Stafford will have more time to throw and Kevin Smith will have bigger holes to run through. And as far as our defense goes.... well we all know what a dominating D line can do. Ok fire away i would really like some input on who to draft and pick up in free agency if possible, im not talking dream guys im talking realistic guys.    Thanks Timmy20
