When you lose to an 0-13 team, can you blame anyone but the coaching staff?
When you lose to an 0-13 team, I think it has to be blamed on the coaches. They simply didn’t do enough to get the team prepared or fired up. You could tell the players came into this game knowing it was a win and they just had to go through the steps.
More importantly, and what bugs me the most, is that we are sending out a guy to start at QB when we have a better option on the bench. Locker has played better than Hasselbeck, simple as that. Now give Hasselbeck a strained calf, and there is no reason he should be out there instead of our mobile Locker. Hasselbeck played very well at the beginning of the season, but since Britt went down, he has not been nearly the same. In fact, he has been the ditsy, silly mistake-prone QB the league has come to known the last few years.
The majority of Locker’s snaps have come against prevent defenses, so it is easy to say that is the reason for his great statistics. Going into halftime against the Colts, up 6-3, after several three and outs, and unmotivated and flat as ever, how do you not put the ball in Locker’s hands? He has that slam dunk ability where he can have an amazing run (see TD run against Siants) which immediately would pump up the team. Hasselbeck skipping the ball two yards in front of Hands or checking down to CJ on 3rd and long for two yards does not pump up the team.
Let me be clear, I do not mean to hate on Hasselbeck. He seems to be the definition of a professional and a superior teammate. But now, I say we put the ball in Locker’s hands and see what he can do against two fellow rookie quarterbacks in Gabbert and Yates. At this point, he is the best QB on our team, and why wouldn’t you play your best QB when you are fighting for a playoff spot?
Oh, and one final note. Coach Munchack, aren't you a hall of fame offensive lineman? We are 14 games into the season and I have yet to see you display ANY emotion. I think yesterday's loss would have been a great time to show it. I want to witness the wrath of Thorchack!
Don Banks says to start Jake Locker

No! We are coming off what I think is the most embarrassing loss I have ever watched, worse than last year's debacle of Rusty Smith vs. Worst Pass Defense in history of NFL. For Don Banks to place blame on Hasslebeck is idiotic. He clearly does not watch the Tennessee games, but just looks at the box score. I admit, I did not watch the entire game yesterday because I found it more pleasing to go into my backyard and watch the grass grow. Hasslebeck was astonishing in his first few games with us (minus Jax), and of course Britt had so much to do with that. Kenny was turning into the type of player you just heave the ball to in the end zone, knowing he would come down with it (calvin Johnson-esque). Now, although Hasselbeck has not been perfect, he has put the ball in the hands of his wide receivers. Damian Williams (I refuse to grant him the nickname D-Will until he starts performing) and Lavelle Hawkins (same goes for him) both dropped passes on our second or third drive, and we were not able to recover after Griffin's pathetic attempt to tackle Foster. So, why throw a rookie QB into the fire with a poor receiving core and NO run game. Which also brings me to the question, I hope our 6th round draft pick next year becomes a great player. Why couldn't we give that up for Brandon Lloyd? The Titans turn 7th round draft picks into stars, not 6th rounders.
Hasselbeck still gives this team the best chance to win games. In my opinion, he is the player/position we need to worry about LEAST, besides cornerbacks. O-Line, running backs, wide receivers, D-Line (Can we get just one sack, please. Derrick Morgan, should we have drafted Jason Pierre-Paul instead. Seems like it with his 7+ sacks), Linebackers (just quit, Ruud), and worst of all safeties (FREE SAFETY). There is no doubt this team has the talent across the board with no glaring weaknesses. Where we do have a weakness, we have a great player to back him up, although they don't always play great. But that is why I am still confident in this team. The coaching staff needs to help bring out the best of these players on Sundays, because showing it in practice just isn't enough.
Truth is, we are playing in the worst division in football right now (NFC West, we'll take that distinction from you). We will win some more big games, Houston will lose more bad games, and I still think we are the better team and will make the playoffs. Whatever our record, I don't care- as long as we are there.
Go Titans!
P.S. Give Bulluck a ring!

"Titans, Jeff Fisher Parting Ways"
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/football/nfl/01/27/titans-jeff-fisher/index.html?eref=sihp
Wow, this is surprising. We all thought he was surely back after Vince was told he'd be let go, but now Fish seems to be gone as well. Ever since I was a Titans fans it has been Fish coaching this team, so it will be weird to adjust to a different man with the headset. But, if we find a great candidate to replace him, I'm for this. It is time for a new start, new mentality, and new personality for this team. Let's hope Bill Cowher can bring it? That'd be nice.
Hating on Jeff Fisher
Sal Paolantonio doesn't think Jeff Fisher is a good coach. I think it's the best thing that he's been here the longest, gives us stability. Better than changing coaches every three years like some teams do.

Chad Johnson
He demanded he wants out of Cincy before the draft, and if not, he says there is NO way he is going to show up for any workouts or camp.
I say we snag him right away. He's a top 5 wide reciever and it would immediatly make us a definite playoff team. We give up a second and third rounder, or just a first if we need to. Who's better? Malcom Kelly, Devin Thomas, Limas Sweed, Desean Jackson, Chad Johnson. Hmmmm.
I know he's a "colorful" character, but I love his skills. What do you think?
