Pure Mockery #2
I'm using the current draft order going by record and strength of schedule. For playoff teams I went by point differential. I added a couple trades basically using the trades from last years draft.
I needed to mock
Haven't been here as often as I would like. I don't think I was here at all last draft but man we had some fun for 2010.
Couldn't sleep so I figured why not mock. Not doing explanations because it's 320 am so maybe I'll add them later or just answer your questions.
Draft order is by record and point differential. This is not a reflection of how I think the season turns out in terms of order.
As always comments, concerns, blah , blah, blah are welcome as long as it's constructive.
On to the mockery.............................
I Feel the Need, the Need for a Mock OWWW
Here we go guys, 7 rounds of pure mockery brought to you by Mock....... TJ Mock. Draft order used by wikipedia, so if something is wrong then go there and change it.
WARNING for some reason tight ends and cornerbacks fell in this mock........don't know why just happend that way.
Also some picks are due to a player interviewing with a certain team, I realize they interview many many players and I also realize there are these things called smokescreens however I still use them because you never know.
1. Rams DT Ndamukong Suh Nebraska
In all honesty I flipped a damn coin. The GM was in the Atlanta front office when they picked Ryan over Dorsey do we see a repeat? Is Suh too good to pass up? Is Clausen worth the guarenteed money? Who is the owner?
2. Lions S Eric Berry Tennessee
Apparently McCoy and Suh are too small for Gunther Cunninghams defense so Berry it is. It still fills a need and teaming him with Delmas gives them a very young very talented safety tamdem.
3. Bucs DT Gerald McCoy Oklahoma
No shocker here they go with who's left out of Suh/Berry/McCoy and it happens to be McCoy.
4. Redskins T Russell Okung Oklahoma St.
This was tough, give them Clausen or Okung? I went with Okung because the line is horrible and Clausen would probably sit behind Campbell but no matter who their QB is they're not going to do much with that line. Shanahan has never taken a lineman this high (that I recall) but then again I don't think he's ever needed one as bad as he does now (that I recall).
5. Chiefs LB Rolando McClain Alabama
TRADE ALERT. I could see them trading down with both QBs available, but in this case I went with McClain due to Berry already being taken. I figured ILB is more of need than CB and I have a huge man crush on McClain so I hooked him up.
6. Seahawks QB Jimmy Clausen Notre Dame
This could be interesting as well and I think Petey starts off his Seattle tenure by drafting Clausen.
7. Browns CB Joe Haden Florida
It's great when BPA is actually a need.
8. Raiders T Bruce Campbell Maryland
Oh Al whatever will you do. I took Campbell because I think Al Davis will give every opportunity to JaMarcus Russell. He will build a better line and give him more weapons and if he can't succeed with that then maybe he will stop believing in Russell.
9. Bills QB Sam Bradford Oklahoma
They need a "face" to the franchise and Bradford is it. I can't see them going any other way. If both QB's are gone by this point I wouldn't be surprised to see Dan Williams here as there is growing talk that a 3-4 defense could be happening.
10. Broncos WR Dez Bryant Oklahoma St.
TRADE ALERT. This is probably the toughest pick in round 1 to gauge. Maybe Iupat? He's climbing up boards but I don't have the balls to put a guard #10 overall. Derrick Morgan? I don't think he is a 3-4 DE. Dan Williams? Maybe. Brandon Spikes? Too high. With the Brandon Marshall situation I gave them a WR, but I could see them trading up or down. With last years shocker of Moreno I wouldn't rule out a guy like Odrick to play DE. Cameron Heyward decinding to return to Ohio St. really screwed them. Have I told anyone how much I dislike Jerry Angelo?
11. Jaguars DE Derrick Morgan Georgia Tech
I read an article and Wayne Weaver stated he wants a guy next to Henderson! Now is that a DT like Price? Morgan can be next to Henderson. IS it a safety and in the huddle he must stand next to Henderson? Is it Tebow and they have to stand next to each other on the sidelines? I don't know. But with that thing they called a pass rush I gave the edge to Morgan.
12. Dolphins LB Sergio Kindle Texas
TRADE ALERT. I like Kindle but not this damn much. I could see them trading down or up if McClain floats their boat. But with me not doing trades I gave them Kindle.
13. 49ers RB CJ Spiller Clemson
Their return game is pretty bad, and that's putting it nicely. Spiller bumps that up immediately and provides a home run threat on offense.
14. Seahawks S/LB Taylor Mays USC
Da da da. From what I'm reading damn near every scout thinks Mays will not only fail but EPIC fail at safety. But there is one guy who believes he can be a safety (besides Al Davis) and that guy is Pete Carroll., There is some talk of a possible switch to a 3-4 defens so maybe Dan Williams comes into play here.
15. Giants DT Brian Price UCLA
Could go Price could go safety could go Iupati could go to the super bowl? I don't know what happend last year but it's the first time that my two super bowl picks didn't even make the playoffs. Price is great value here and if Wayne Weaver means another DT next to Henderson then I expect them to go Earl Thomas.
16. 49ers G Mike Iupati Idaho
Tough call right here. Give them a tackle or give them Iupati? I gave them Iupati, I admit I was probably the last person to jump on the bandwagon (shut up Dar) but now I'm the damn driver of the bandwagon.
17. Titans DE Carlos Dunlap Florida
Could go corner here if they rate one high enough. I myself only have one corner rated as a 1st round pick (Haden) so I tend to think they go DE with Dunlap. VandenBosch himself said he doesn't expect to be back so Dunlap could take over for him if he isn't sleeping in his car. I also wouldn't rule out Navorro Bowman, although the likelyhood is alot less.........you never know. Maybe Earl Thomas as some scouts feel he can play CB.
18. Steelers NT Dan Williams Tennessee
This was tough between a safety and Dan Williams. NT are at a premium and with more teams considering the switch I feel they snag Williams up quick.
19. Falcons DE Everson Griffen USC
Like the Titans if they rate a corner high enough then they can take them but with me feeling none is worthy I gave them a pass rusher in Griffen. Maybe Earl Thomas some say he can play CB.
20. Texans DB Earl Thomas Texas
I'm reading more that scouts feel Earl Thomas can play corner as well and both happen to be needs.
21. Bengals WR Golden Tate Notre Dame
I really think they go WR in round 1 the question is which one? They need a big play threat and for that reason I gave them Tate. I know they tend to like a bit bigger WRs but the big play threat might be to good to pass up.
22. Patriots NT Terrance Cody Alabama
TRADE ALERT. Because it's the Patriots they always trade for more picks the next year plus they might not feel Cody is worthy here. There is word that Saban and Belicheck had some talks about Terrance Cody. VInce Wilfolk want's out and if Belicheck feels Cody is capable to take over then a Cody/Brace combo could let that happen.
23. Packers T Brian Bulaga Iowa
TRADE ALERT. I read that they are very high on Iupati (who isn't?) so they could be looking to move up. I also read (yes I do lots of reading) that some of their scouts said they would not be surprised to see a safety in round 1 to compete with Bigby. With Iupati long gone and me feeling no safety is worthy here I gave them Bulaga and that isn't exactly stupid.
24. Eagles DE Brandon Graham Michigan
Brandon Graham has impressed so I give him the nudge over Jason Pierre Paul. With the Andrews brothers being hurt way too often I wouldn't be surprised to see OL Vladimir Ducasse here, some scouts say he is a late 1st/early 2nd round guy.
25. Ravens WR Brandon LaFell LSU
If a corner stands out at them I could see that. I could see Gresham. I could see a WR One thing I learned is you don't question Ozzie.
26. Cardinals LB Ricky Sapp Clemson
This is a tough one as they could use a tackle but also they need a OLB. Berry retired and from what I read they won't retain Okeafor so to me it comes down to Sapp/Hughes. I'm seeing alot of Sapp in round 1 mocks so I follow the lead.
27. Cowboys T Anthony Davis Rutgers
I would not be surprised if this pick is Jared Odrick. But Flozell should be gone soon and if Free is indeed the heir to LT than Davis would make a fine RT.
28. Chargers DE Jared Odrick Penn St.
Tough choice here between Dwyer/Best/Odrick. I was leaning toward Dwyer but my hand wrote Odrick and the hand always wins.
29. Jets CB Kyle Wilson Boise St.
I've been reading that the Jets are interested in Odrick/Tyson Alualu and Kyle Wilson. With Odrick gone and I don't feel Alualu is worth a 1st round pick I gave them Wilson another guy that I don't feel is worth a first round pick. Funny how sometimes that works out huh?
30. Vikings CB Patrick Robinson Florida St.
Once again I don't rate these corners as 1st round guys, I have them as 2nd rounders but meh. Robinson fills a need with Griffin and Winfield both battling injuries depth is definitley an issue.
31. Saints LB Navorro Bowman Penn St.
This pick is easy BPA on defense. I gave Bowman the edge over Weatherspoon and I don't feel Spikes is an OLB so Bowman it is.
32. Colts T Charles Brown USC
They could use a LT and Charles Brown fits the bill. I don't see a DT of value here, maybe a safety if they feel Burnett is the right value and fear of losing Bethea/Bullitt as RFAs? If they rate Trent Williams higher he could be the pick over Brown.
ROUND 2
33. Rams QB Tony Pike Cincinnati
Umm yeah see what happens when you pass on a QB you get stuck with Tony Pike. I don't think Tony PIke is as bad as some make him to be but he also isn't as good as some make him out to be.
34. Lions RB Jonathan Dwyer Georgia Tech
They could go in a number of directions RB/G/DE/CB so I gave them Dwyer who is a legit 1st round talent.
35. Bucs DE Jason Pierre Paul South Florida
They needed a DE before they traded Gaines Adams (RIP). Pierre Paul could be gone by here but in my mock he was available.
36. Chiefs OL Vladimir Ducasse UMASS
TRADE ALERT. I could see the Chiefs trading here with some good talent like Ducasse, Trent Williams, Spikes, Damian Williams all available someone has to be calling Pioli. However since I don't do trades I gave them Ducasse. Why I have no freaking clue I don't think he fits the zone blocking they do there so consider it a brain fart.
37. Redskins QB Tim Tebow Florida
WOW!!!!!!! They say Snyder likes to make a splash. Is there a bigger splash than God himself? Tebow will sit behind Campbell and learn. Feel free to thank me Jaguar fans.
38. Browns WR Damian Williams USC
Could go a number of ways, I was leaning towards a safety but Williams is too good to pass up here. I realize they drafted two WRs in round 2 last year but Williams is a better prospect than Robiskie/Massaquoi.
39. Raiders WR Taylor Price Ohio
Word is that the Ravens/Panthers/Bucs all have Price as a top 60 pick. Al Davis laughs because he never heard of this guy upon him looking him up he sees he runs in the 4.38 range and has a heart attack. Al Davis will be missed this pick is in honor of you. Hope I don't offend anyone by that.
40. Seahawks T Trent Williams Oklahoma
Alot of people are saying this guy ISNT a LT and yet I still see mocks with him in the top 10. *shakes head* I don't know if he falls this far, I don't know if Seattle would be interested. I almost gave them Toby Gerhart.
41. Bills LB Brandon Spikes Florida
With Trent Williams gone I gave them Brandon Spikes. If they switch to a 3-4 I feel he can handle it but maybe they go in a different direction like Wootton or Alualu. For those going to say Spikes won't fall check out Laurinitis, Mauluga, EJ Henderson, Demeco Ryans, etc... For some strange reason MLBs fall.
42. Patriots LB Jerry Hughes TCU
Tough choice here between Gresham and Hughes and I went with Hughes. Adalius Thomas could be cut and that pass rush was not good last year.
43. Dolphins TE Jermaine Gresham Oklahoma
If he comes back healthy this could be the steal of the draft. Last year Gresham would have been top 15 picks. Does he fall this far? Probably not. Is there a chance he could? yeah. Parcells would be crazy to pass him up.
44. Bucs WR Arrelious Benn Illinois
Do they go corner or grab a target for Freeman? Benn is a nice choice here. DAMN YOU JERRY ANGELO!!!!!!!!!!
45. Broncos DE Cory Wootton Northwestern
To me this pick is either DE or Maurkice Pouncey. I went with Wootton.
46. Giants S Morgan Burnett Georgia Tech
Since they went DT in round 1 they go safety in round 2. The question is Burnett or Chad Jones?
47. Panthers WR Demaryius Thomas Georgia Tech
I big target to play opposite of Steve Smith. Give Matt Moore weapons to see if he is capable of being the starter.
48. Patriots RB Jahvid Best California
Don't know if he falls this far but what a steal, what a draft for New England.
49. 49ers S Chad Jones LSU
They still need to address the RT spot but Chad Jones is good value here and it fills a need.
50. Chiefs C Maurkice Pouncey Florida
Some think he can handle guard as well. Either way it's a nice pick for KC.
51. Texans DE Greg Hardy Ole Miss
If healthy and it is a big IF this is a steal. I feel he is the best pure pass rusher in the draft the problem is he misses more games than plays.
52. Steelers DE Tyson Alualu California
Mission add youth to defense. Done it so far with their first two picks. I was considering Nate Allen here but felt Alualu had too much value.
53. Patriots WR Jordan Shipley Texas
Don't question the hoody. Shipley can play the slot vaccated by Welker. They could go a different direction if sold on Edelman.
54. Bengals LB Sean Weatherspoon Missouri
I don't think he falls this far but Cincy would have to pick him up. Interesting LB core with Rivers/Mauluga/Weatherspoon.
55. Eagles CB Donovan Warren Michigan
I like this guy alot and honestly don't know how he fell this far but Philly would have to snatch him up the value is too good.
56. Packers S TJ Ward Oregon
Like I said earlier they are looking at safety and TJ Ward can play SS.
57. Ravens CB Devin McCourty Rutgers
I'm not as high on McCourty as most but some have him as a 2nd round pick and I'll go with them.
58. Cardinals T Jason Fox Miami
Hopefully his heart is fine. If it is they get their LT here.
59. Cowboys DE Arthur Jones Syracuse
Passing on Odrick they go DE here and Arthur Jones is a good pick. Remember when mocks had him as a top 20 pick seems like forever ago.
60. Chargers RB Ryan Matthews Fresno St.
After passing on RB in round 1 they grab Matthews here.
61. Jets DE Lamarr Houston Texas
They missed out on their two DE targets Odrick/Alualu so Houston is the pick.
62. Vikings QB Jevan Snead Ole Miss
I guess, I'm not sure how they feel about Tavaris/Sage.
63. Saints S Nate Allen South Florida
BPA on defense. Who dey who dey ooops the NFL probably doesn't want me saying that.
64. Colts TE Rob Gronkowski Arizona
I don't think a DT is worthy here so I gave them Gronkowski who could be a steal.
ROUND 3
65. Rams ATH Dexter McCluster Ole Miss
I've seen they already interviewed him and it makes sense a nice weapon.
66. Lions G Mike Johnson Alabama
Don't know if he falls this far but in this scenario he did. He can help out that guard position right away.
67. Bucs CB Javier Arenas Alabama
I always thought of Arenas as a 2nd round guy (even when some had him round 1) but I read an article and scouts were saying round 3/round 4, as much as it pains me to say, they do know more than me so I dropped him a little.
68. Chiefs LB Eric Norwood South Carolina
They need to up the pass rush and Norwood is arguably the best available.
69. Raiders C Matt Tennant Boston College
Like I said earlier help JaMarcus anyway possible. Tennant and Bruce Campbell help the OLine.
70. Eagles OL Ciron Black LSU
Andrews Brothers always seem to be hurt so some depth is needed.
71. Browns QB Colt McCoy Texas
I read that either Quinn/Anderson could be traded soon so some depth is needed and McCoy is it.
72. Bills T Selvish Capers West Virginia
Finally get their LT is it too late?
73. Dolphins S Reshad Jones Georgia
Safety help. I think his versatility will catch Parcells as he can play both FS/SS.
74. Bears T Kyle Calloway Iowa
No shocker here offensive line. Calloway could potentially start day 1. Oh no nevermind we don't play our rookies til week 15, stupid me.
75. Jaguars DT Geno Atkins Georgia
Geno Atkins is impressing many at the Senior Bowl and the Jags need that guy next to Hendrson in case we grabbed the wrong one earlier.
76. Giants LB Daryl Washington TCU
As of now this is it but in a couple weeks I could really see him as a solid 2nd rounder.
77. Panthes S Major Wright Florida
I don't know, I saw he was available and said why not.
78. Titans CB Brandon Ghee Wake Forest
Some have this guy in the first, some have him in the third, I have him rated as a 2nd round prospect but like I said way up top (which I know you didn't read) for some reason tight ends and corners fell in this draft.
79. 49ers T Roger Saffold Indiana
I had to get them a RT eventually.
80. Broncos G Jon Asamoah Illinois
I still have yet to hear a definitive answer on how bad his injury is so he could fall or Denver could see the value.
81. Texans RB Toby Gerhart Stanford
Yeah this was kind of a no brainer to me.
82. Steelers LB Sean Lee Penn St.
I don't know about this, alot of people like Sean Lee just not on their team.
83. Falcons CB Perrish Cox Oklahoma St.
Word is the Falcons were the first to interview Cox and he happend to fall so it seemed like a good fit.
84. Bengals TE Anthony McCoy USC
Some scouts say he is a 1st round guy.....while I don't see it, he is good value here.
85. Raiders DE Austen Lane Murray St.
Couldn't go all offense.
86. Packers LB Jason Worilds Virginia Tech
I think he is underrated, he is better suited for 3-4 OLB.
87. Eagles LB Roddrick Muckelroy Texas
Kind of one of those BPA things.
88. Ravens TE Aaron Hernandez Florida
Another weapon for Flacco. He could go round 2 but like I said TEs and CBs fell in this draft.
89. Cardinals LB Micah Johnson Kentucky
I was thinking he might fall a bit but Arizona needs insurance in case Dansby leaves.
90. Cowboys WR Danario Alexander Missouri
Maybe they get rid of Roy? Nah but Alexander is nice though.
91. Chargers CB Dominique Franks Oklahoma
I realize they have other needs but with the Cromartie trade talk corner becomes a little bit higher and plus Franks is great value here.
92. Browns OL Zane Beadles Utah
They interviewed him he fits at RT so I gave him to them.
93. Vikings DT Torrell Troup Central Florida
In case Pat Williams retires.
94. Saints DT Vince Oghobaase Duke
BPA on defense.
95. Colts LB Rennie Curran Georgia
I'm reading different reports some say he is up to 235 others say 218 we'll see at the combine.
ROUND 4
96. Rams WR Jeremy Williams Tulane
Add another target. I don't know if they go this much offense this early but it cant' hurt.
97. Lions CB Kareem Jackson Alabama
Now they get their corner.
98. Bucs LB Dekoda Watson Florida St.
He came in bigger than expected and I think the Bucs could take a look.
99. Chiefs NT Cam Thomas North Carolina
I like this guy he's a sleeper, fills a need.
100. Redskins G John Jerry Ole Miss
Must protect QB, must open holes for RB. Jerry and Okung help.
101. Seahawks RB Joe McKnight USC
They need a RB it came between Dixon and McKnight and I went with the USC connection.
102. Browns DE CJ Wilson East Carolina
THey have so many picks they can field a team of rookies next year.
103. Raiders ATH Trindon Holliday LSU
He's fast, he's a weapon for JaMarcus. Tell me it won't happen.
104. Bills WR Mardy Gilyard Cincinnati
Don't know if he falls this far but if he does Buffalo jumps on it.
105. Bears WR Carlton Mitchell South Florida
A big WR something Chicago needs. I'm still not a believer in Aromashadu.
106. Jaguars CB Trevard Lindley Kentucky
If he falls this far Jax jumps on him.
107. Dolphins WR Dezmon Briscoe Kansas
I didn't give them a WR earlier so they address it here.
108. Panthers DT Mike Neal Purdue
I don't know.
109. Titans RB Anthony Dixon Mississippi St.
Insurance in case LenDale White leaves.
110. 49ers QB Dan LeFevour Central Michigan
Because Alex Smith is not something we can believe in. Or is he?
111. Broncos LB Darryl Sharpton Miami
EJRuiz had them taking Spikes in round 1 so I figured it's a need and Sharpton is ok value here.
112. Giants DE Branond Lang Troy
Because they love pass rushers like I love mocks.
113. Steelers CB SydQuan Thompson California
Don't know if he falls this far. I don't see him as a 1st round guy that some have him but I don't see him as a 4th either.
114. Falcons LB Perry Riley LSU
It's a need unless they go Bowman in round 1.
115. Texans G Mitch Petrus Arkansas
They have a need at G and he's pretty good.
116. Patriots LB Pat Angerer Iowa
Don't make him Angererey
117. Bengals WR Riley Cooper Florida
A bigger target than Tate. Tate, McCoy, Cooper are nice additions to the Cincy offense.
118. Eagles S Myron Rolle Florida St.
He could keep rising up the boards.
119. Packers CB Amari Spievey Iowa
Harris and Woodson aren't getting any younger.
120. Ravens WR Andre Roberts Citadel
Another weapon for Flacco.
121. Cardinals DB Myron Lewis Vanderbilt
Kind of a BPA thing.
122. Cowboys S Kam Chancellor Virginia Tech
I haven't got a clue.
123. Chargers WR Eric Decker Minnesota
Chargers tend to like their WRs bigger and Decker has size.
124. Eagles RB LeGarrette Blount Oregon
I hope he turns it around.
125. Vikings LB AJ Edds Iowa
I don't know.
126. Saints DE Jermaine Cunningham Florida
I'm tired of typing.
127. Colts DT D'Anthony Smith Louisiana Tech
I'm not doing anymore so called analysis.

Sean Weatherspoon scouting report
Sean Weatherspoon | OLB | University of Missouri
6'1, 242 pounds, 40: 4.60ish
COVERAGE- Weatherspoon or "Spoon" is probably better suited for a team that uses alot of zone coverages. Reads the quarterbacks well and uses his athleticsm to make a play. Becoming quite the playmaker when the ball is in the air, and has above average hands for the LB positon. He can be easily fooled on play action passes which could cause trouble at the next level. Does a decent job of keeping up with running backs and tight ends when in man coverage but is better suited for a zone scheme.
INSTINCTS- During the game you can frequently see him lining up his fellow defenders as he understands the defense there very well. Against the run his instincts are the question as he his fooled easily on misdirection plays and is known to overpursue.
PASS RUSH- Adequate pass rusher, he has a good burst and closes rather quickly which will help if he's coming off the edge. Has trouble shedding blockers but won't give up as his motor is top notch. Has started using some rip and swim moves while rushing.
PURSUIT- Covers ground quickly which is good considering he gets fooled on alot of misdirection. Takes solid angles. Never gives up on a play and has the non stop motor that coaches will love.
QUICKNESS- Shows a good burst, not great but good. Has adequate quickness to close in on the ball however it's not the "elite" level that you would like to see from a star linebacker.
RUN DEFENSE- He is rangy, can go sideline to sideline. Very solid against the run as long as he isn't taking on a blocker. Displays solid technique when tackling, once again solid not great. Does a good job of squaring up for the hit but lacks the "boom boom pow" of the elite linebackers. Will make the fumble, probably won't cause the fumble.
SIZE- Nice size at 6'1 or 6'2 around the 240 lbs. mark. Runs in the 4.58 to 4.61 range.
STRENGTH- Adequate strength, however one of the stronger outside linebackers in this draft.
TACKLING- Does a very nice job of wrapping up the ball carrier and getting him down. He may not be the hardest hitter but he gets the job done. Does a nice job in the open field.
VERSATILITY- Has played inside and outside at Missouri. Depending on the defensive scheme he might be able to play MLB.
FINAL THOUGHTS- Very coachable player and should get better with NFL coaching. He does everything good but nothing great. He's looking like a 2nd rounder right now but could move up with many of the higher ranked OLBs opting to stay in school. He should test very very well at the combine and pro day. I've seen him being compared to a wide range of players including Ernie Sims, Curtis Lofton, and a poor man's Derrick Brooks

Yes a really really early look at 2011 NFL Draft
The draft order is based off of standings from 2002 to this year. Why 2002? Because that was the Texans first year. I based needs as if my 7 round mock came true (which it won't).
Darwithabar and RealSlimShady wanted to see it, so they get it. I am here for all of MTD's drafting entertainment.

How many mocks could a mocker mock if a mocker could mock a mock?
1. Rams QB Jimmy Clausen Notre Dame***
It's between Suh or a QB. Devaney the Rams GM was in Atlanta when they made the Matt Ryan over Glenn Dorsey decision. Should be interesting to watch
2. Lions DT Ndamukong Suh Nebraska
IF Suh is available this is a no brainer.
3. Chiefs LB Rolando McClain Alabama***
This should be fun to watch, after Pioli fooled everyone and took Tyson Jackson last year you have to expect the unexpected. Could be McClain, Cody, or Berry here. maybe even Bryant?
4. Bucs DT Gerald McCoy Oklahoma***
If the Bucs can get there hands on McCoy they will be thrilled.
5. Redskins QB Ryan Mallett Arkansas***
Only Daniel Snyders bank account knows which way they will go. With Okung on the board they could throw everyone off by taking him instead of a QB.
6. Browns S Eric Berry Tennessee***
Eric Berry is possibly the best safety prospect ever (I still think Sean Taylor is). With Holmgren now in charge and Mangina's future up in the air this could get interesting. With a new coach could mean new QB AND new defense.
7. Seahawks T Russell Okung Oklahoma St.k
Seattle is thrilled to get Okung as he will replace Walter Jones and hopefully protect whoever the QB is.
8. Bills QB Sam Bradford Oklahoma***
I don't know if they go OLine first or go with Bradford, of course if Mallett doesn't come out then Bradford is gone and they go OLine.
9. Raiders DE Carlos Dunlap Florida***
I can put whoever I want here and won't have to explain myself because no one, NO ONE knows what goes on in Al Davis head. I was considering Trindon Holliday.
10. Broncos (CHI) WR Dez Bryant Oklahoma St.***
They missed out on McClain and I don't know what they do. I'm on the fence if Derrick Morgan is a 3-4 DE and I'm not an expert in the 3-4 so I passed on him.Not alot of people saw the Moreno selection coming so maybe they shock again by going Iupati? If Cameron Heyward declares this pick is him. Once again thank you Jerry Angelo we could of had Bryant or one of the offensive lineman or Derrick Morgan, damn this would be a nice pick to have.
11. 49ers CB Joe Haden Florida***
The top corner in the draft hands down. I've heard they could either move Clements to safety or cut him.
12. Jaguars DE Derrick Morgan Georgia Tech***
If McCoy is not available for the Bucs then they could snag Morgan at #4. Jacksonville will rejoice that their owner does indeed have half a brain.
13. Titans LB Navorro Bowman Penn St.***
With Dunlap and Morgan off the board that leaves Everson Griffen, I'm not thrilled with any other corners going this early so I was looking at Griffen or Bowman and I flipped a coin and Bowman it was. If Bruce Carter enters the draft I would have him going here if the coin would allow it.
14. 49ers (CAR) T Trent Williams Oklahoma
When Williams was playing RT at Oklahoma people were drooling over him being a top 5 pick. Playing LT has not been a huge success and has seen his stock take a hit to some. By going to SF he can play RT and probably be very good at it.
15. Dolphins LB Sergio Kindle Texas
A reach? Yes. The Big Tuna usually goes D first and Cody/Williams are an option as is a safety. I think it's a toss up between Jerry Hughes and Sergio Kindle.I went with Kindle though because..........I don't know why.
16. Steelers S Earl Thomas Texas***
I think it is safe to say they go safety in round 1. Earl Thomas if he comes out is the #2 safety prospect behind Berry.
17. Falcons DE Everson Griffen USC***
They could use a pass rusher like Griffen and like Tennessee I don't like any corners this high so it was between Griffen and Travis Lewis and I went with Griffen. No coin needed.
18. Texans RB CJ Spiller Clemson
They could use D. If a new coach is hired then who knows what way they go. I just can't see Spiller falling very far.
19. Seahawks (DEN) DE Jason Pierre Paul South Florida***
I'm not a fan of this guy but I keep seeing mocks having him in round 1 and thought I would join the trend. I guess they could go Snead but something tells me that Seattle might be a player for Vick this year.
20. Giants S/LB Taylor Mays USC
Is he a safety? Can he move to LB? Coughlin will find out.
21. Jets WR Damian Williams USC***
The Sanchize gets his boy. If they like a 34 DE they can go that route but with me feeling none are worthy Williams gets the nod.
22. Ravens WR Golden Tate Notre Dame***
The Ravens will most likely go WR in round 1 and a Flacco/Tate tamdem excites me and I'm not even a Baltimore fan.
23. Packers T Bruce Campbell Maryland***
To me Campbell/Davis/Bulaga can go in any order it's all a matter of preferance.
24. Cardinals T Anthony Davis Rutgers***
Same as the Packers.
25. Bengals S Chad Jones LSU***
I gave the nod to Jones to take over for Roy Williams. I was also considering Brandon LaFell here with the sudden death to Chris Henry.
26. Cowboys NT Terrance Cody Alabama
By drafting Cody they can move Ratliff to DE. On plays when Cody can't breathe Ratliff can move back inside. Bulaga is also an option here.
27. Patriots TE Jermaine Gresham Oklahoma
They have gone TE in round 1 in the past and neither of those guys were as good as Gresham can be assuming he heals fully.
28. Vikings DB Ras-I Dowling Virginia***
Dan Williams was an option here as was Jevan Snead but felt Dowlins was a nice pick for them.
29. Eagles LB Travis Lewis Oklahoma***
Was considering Romeus here but I've been a fan of Lewis since he was a RB recruit.
30. Chargers NT Dan Williams Tennessee
If Best checks out fine medically he could be an option here but I went with Williams to replace the other Williams there.
31. Saints DE Greg Romeus Pittsburgh***
I don't know what direction they go. Last year they were trying to trade back up in round 1 to get Beenie Wells so Dwyer could be an option, with rumors of Bush being cut maybe Best is an option. The other option is to pick anything on D.
32. Colts T Bryan Bulaga Iowa***
Colts get a steal here. I don't expect him to fall this far some team will trade up to select him but I'm not predicting trades.
ROUND 2
33. Rams DT Brian Price UCLA***
Since they passed on Suh they go DT here. Odrick and Arrelious Benn and LaFell were also options here.
34. Lions G Mike Iupati Idaho
They need help on the line and Iupati can do that.
35. Bucs CB Javier Arenas Alabama
He will eventually replace Ronde Barber.
36. Chiefs C Maurkice Pouncey Florida***
They need to address the OLine.
37. Browns DE Cory Wooton Northwestern
With the sudden emergence of Harrison I felt RB wasn't as big of a need so I looked to DE and went with Wooton. This can change if Mangina gets fired and they switch d.
38. Redskins LB Brandon Spikes Florida
Tough one. After going QB in round 1 you would figure OLine has to be next but I went with Brandon Spikes instead. He would be tremendous value at this point.
39. Bills T Charles Brown USC
They get lucky that the Redskins passed on Brown. I was also considering Sean Weatherspoon at this pick as it is good value.
40. Raiders DT Marvin Austin North Carolina***
Al Davis like fast.
41. Seahawks RB Jonathan Dwyer Georgia Tech***
They go RB and he can be their thumper to whatever Forsett and Jones are.
42. Bucs (CHI) LB Sean Weatherspoon Missouri
Weatherspoon falling here would be good value to the rebuilding Bucs. They could go DE here as well. Thanks Jerry Angelo for trading this pick for Gaines Adams because he has hall of fame written all over him so a Weatherspoon or Odrick or Benn or Mike Johnson would not have helped as much as Gaines freaking Adams.
43. Patriots (JAX) RB Jahvid Best California***
This is why we hate the Patriots because they are already good and somehow end up with 100 out of the 250 draft picks and continually draft good players. Best and Gresham at one time were both top 15 picks.
44. Patriots (TEN) DE Jared Odrick Penn St.
And they get another nice player.
45. Panthers WR Brandon LaFell LSU
Don't know if he falls this far. Carolina could go QB here with Tebow, McCoy, Snead all on the board but Smith needs help at WR.
46. Dolphins WR Arrelious Benn Illinois***
Henne will enjoy having Benn and Benn will enjoy having a QB that can actually throw the ball.
47. 49ers G Mike Johnson Alabama
Baas is a FA and if he leaves they can plug Johnson in right away.
48. Chiefs (ATL) G Mike Pouncey Florida***
It's a need and plus I wanted to be cute and have the Pouncey twins going to the same team.
49. Texans S Morgan Burnett Georgia Tech***
I think he goes higher. I higher on him than most. What Pierre Paul is to most mock draft sites, Morgan Burnett is to me.
50. Broncos C Kris O'Dowd USC***
He goes higher if he comes out which is debatable. Fills a need as Wiegman is old.
51. Giants DE Brandon Graham Michigan
I just didn't see him falling any further and you can never have enough pass rushers.
52. Steelers CB Donovan Warren Michigan***
He will replace Deshea Townsend. Warren could go higher I've seen him in round 1 alot which I don't agree with and I'm a fan of his.
53. Ravens CB Trevard Lindley Kentucky
Since they went WR in round 1 corner goes here.
54. Jets DE Tyson Alualu California
Underrated prospect who I think is better suited to be a 34 DE than 43 DT.
55. Packers LB Jerry Hughes TCU
With workouts he could go higher and maybe the Patriots take him with one of their earlier picks.
56. Cardinals LB Von Miller Texas A&M***
Didn't have a great bowl game so maybe he decides to stay in school but if he comes out this is a nice pick.
57. Patriots LB RIcky Sapp Clemson
Since they didn't go LB earlier they will here with Sapp.
58. Bengals LB Greg Jones Michigan St.***
Good value pick here, has experience at MLB and OLB.
59. Cowboys T Gabe Carimini Wisconsin***
Could go higher if he comes out but if he lands here he replaces Flozell.
60. Vikings QB Jevan Snead Ole Miss***
The heir to Brett Favre's throne. Some team could trade up to get him before here.
61. Eagles DE Greg Hardy Ole Miss
I still don't get why some have this guy in the top 15? He has missed more games than actually played.
62. Chargers WR Demaryius Thomas Georgia Tech***
Just seems like a Chargers WR which is BIG.
63. Saints DT Arthur Jones Syracuse
He might fall more with his injury or if healthy he could rise, wasn't too long ago some were saying top 20.
64. Colts CB Patrick Robinson Florida St.
Not thrilled with any DT's at this point so went with Robinson because he is decent value here.
ROUND 3
65. Rams WR Mardy Gilyard Cincinnati
They give Jimmy boy a target.
66. Lions RB Ryan Matthews Fresno St.***
Kevin Smith's injury has alot to do with this pick.
67. Chiefs LB Eric Norwood South Carolina
They need a pass rusher and passed on some in round 2.
68. Bucs DE Jeremy Beal Oklahoma***
They need to address the DE position, if Beal enters he might go higher but this is a decent DE class so he could drop.
69. Browns CB Kareem Jackson Alabama***
TRSS once mentioned corner and I finally remembered.
70. Raiders QB Tim Tebow Florida
Al Davis got three fast players for their position in Dunlap, Austin, Tebow. Al Davis is very happy.
71. Eagles (SEA) CB Kyle Wilson Boise St.
Could eventually replace Sheldon Brown.
72. Bills LB Rennie Curran Georgia***
I was considering the Bills going LB in round 2 but passed so they grab one here.
73. Bears G Jon Asamoah Illinois
FINALLY!!!!! We get a pick, last one to the draft party. It's been said by the front office that their first two picks will most likely be offensive lineman. I would rather grab a tackle here but they have stated that next year Beekman will move to center which leaves a hole at G. Asamoah is a good pick.
74. Titans CB Brandon Ghee Wake Forest
They need help at corner but none was available in round 1 and they had no pick in round 2 so they must grab one here.
75. Panthers QB Colt McCoy Texas
Don't know if he falls quit this far as some team may trade up but the Panthers finally get a Qb.
76. Dolphins S Reshad Jones Georgia***
Good value here.
77. 49ers S Major Wright Florida***
Same as above... good value but if Clements is moved to safety then maybe this pick doesn't happen.
78. Jaguars DT Vince Oghobaase Duke
Don't know if they go DLine with their first two picks but I did.
79. Texans CB Perrish Cox Oklahoma St.
In case Dunta Robinson doesn't resign.
80. Broncos DE Jarvis Jenkins Clemson***
Could go higher if he declares, Broncos need help at the DE position.
81. Giants T Joseph Barksdale LSU***
Great value here. Not sure he falls this far some have him lower 1st some have him lower 3rd.
82. Steelers OL Ciron Black LSU
Some say he would make a better guard than tackle let Pittsburgh find out.
83. Falcons CB SydQuan Thompson California
Since no corner was worthy of their 1st round selection they nab one here.
84. Browns (NYJ) QB Tony Pike Cincinnati
I believe Anderson is gone and a Pike/Quinn battle could happen.
85. Ravens LB Quan Sturdivant North Carolina***
Not sure he falls this far.
86. Cardinals LB Sean Lee Penn St.
Not sure if he is a ILB in the 34. But went with it anyway.
87. Packers CB Stephan Virgil Virginia Tech
Woodson and Harris are getting up their in age so a future replacement is needed.
88. Bengals WR Eric Decker Minnesota
Nice sized target for Palmer.
89. Cowboys WR Jeremy Williams Tulane
I've seen some say this guy is a 1st rounder........I guess he'll be a steal in the 3rd round.
90. Raiders (NE) T Jason Fox Miami
Once a late 1st falls due to injuries. If checked out fine he goes higher.
91. Vikings DT Jerrell Powe Ole Miss***
I've always believed this guy will declare and he is huge so he could replace Pat Williams.
92. Eagles T Selvish Capers West Virginia
Could go higher but would add depth alon the line and is good value.
93. Chargers RB Evan Royster Penn St.***
They might prefer more of a speed back like McKnight or Devine but I have Royster rated higher and thought it was good value.
94. Saints S Nate Allen South Florida
Still going defense.
95. Colts DT Lamar Houston Texas
Since they passed on DT in round 2 they grab one here.

TJ's guide to the bowl season
Here are some players of interest during the upcoming bowl season. If a player won't be playing or you feel I left someone off by all means let me know, I'm sure I forgot some. An asterick * means the player is an underclassmen
