Blazer's Edge Why CAN'T this team go all the way?

At the beginning of the season people were saying that the blazers could go all the way.  We had a bunch of injuries, and alot of folks kinda gave up on the season.  But I ask you this now... why couldn't we go all the way?  Camby gives us the kind of rebounding and shot blocking that Greg and/or Joel provided before plus he can score a little too.  Sure he isn't quite the beast that Greg is, but it probably means he fouls less and as many have pointed out...his BBIQ is off the charts.  Whereas Greg still has alot to learn.

Other than Greg and Joel, what are we now missing?  What piece did we have, that we now dont that would've helped in the playoffs?  I know Brandon isn't 100%.  But maybe...just maybe with the veteran savvy that has been added this season this is currently a better team, than what could have been.

I know its a long shot.  A REALLY long shot, but I have no doubt that this current team is capable of making some serious noise in the playoffs this year.

If you are Marcus Camby....  You are probably looking at this is quite possibly your last shot at a deep playoff run.  If he goes after the money next year, none of the contenders will pony up.  He's already basically said he loves this place, and its been three days.

I think in a 7 game series the current lineup beats last years lineup, and probably Houston.

Just hoping outloud...

Blazer's Edge Is the rest of this season worth a 7% hike from Comcast?

From http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2009/02/comcast_sets_rate_hike_on_apri.html

Comcast sets rate hike for April 1

by Mike Rogoway, The Oregonian Thursday February 19, 2009, 4:37 PM

The economy's sagging, and cable TV subscriptions are lagging, but the pace of cable rate hikes won't ease up much this year.

Effective April 1, Comcast Corp. plans to raise rates 6.6 percent, $3.59 a month, for its core level of expanded service. That brings the cost of Comcast's "digital starter" package, its most popular, to about $58 a month.

With the economy going in the tank, is it right for Comcast to just keep sticking it to customers?  I for one am going to be taking a hard look at my TV options.

Blazer's Edge Lets face it...Memphis needs the money.

First fan post, so go easy on me.. ;)

 ESPN attendance stats

Last in the league in attendance.

#27 in team net value

Forbes page on the Grizz

They need publicity and fans in the seats any way they can get it.

Unfortunately for them, I think that they may not be looking ahead at the reaction that other owners / GMs in the league will have.  There have to be some guys out there with the mindset that if they were in this position, they would be just as angry as the blazers.  Maybe the silver lining to all of this is that Memphis just blackballed itself. :)
