Turning a corner? (Loud & Clear - SF Examiner)
" "Me saying something isn't helping anything, and you all asking me questions isn't helping anything," Jackson said. "It's time to be quiet and see what happens."
...Maybe those days are over. After working hard to look unenthusiastic in practice Tuesday and Wednesday, Jackson was back to being his competitive, passionate self Friday.
"I'm glad that all of this stuff is starting to go away," Jackson said. "... In my world it all has gone away."
At media day, Jackson said he felt the team has progressively gotten worse, but three weeks of practice with the current roster has changed his mind.
"I'm surprised how much better we are right now than we were last year at this point," Jackson said. "... I will give my team that compliment." "

I won't say that everything is now wonderful and there will be no problems from here on out, but this is good news. Jackson even made a comment that indicated he understood the Warriors were not just going to send him away for garbage - and that that is a compliment. He even said he could see being here all season (though he didn't see the issues going completely away.) These statements give me some hope that things will continue to improve between Jackson and the Warriors and work out well for both parties.
I know. I know. It's the Warriors. Hope usually leads to a broken heart, but I'm going to hope anyway.

Biedrins a leader & working on free throws
"Anthony Morrow often stays after practice to work on free throws with Biedrins."
I was impressed with how Beidrins handles the trade rumors professionally and focuses on making the team better. I was also glad to hear Morrow praising Beidrins leadership (and helping him with his free throw.)

What makes you a fan?
During dinner last night I was presented with a most interesting question: why are you a sports fan? My compatriot had been to the Giants game that day with the people from her office and expressed that she just wasn't that in to it. This general apathy toward baseball extended to other sports as well. Having grown up with all sisters and a father who was not that in to sports, she never really got into it. Despite her general disinterest in sports she conceded understanding cheering for players, but didn't understand loyalty to teams, dismissing them as only the colors the players happened to wear. I, on the other hand, was raised on the Roger Craig Era Giants, the Roger Craig Era 49ers, and Run TMC (I am fairly certain the Warriors would have contended for a championship if they could have found a way to get a Roger Craig on staff in the mid to late 80's.)

Internet Era Echo Chamber
Isn't it striking how Jackson and Ellis are essentially saying the same things that we've heard repeated over and over from sportswriters and disgruntled fans? The writers and disgruntled fans then turn around and use this as justification for their positions. I wonder what would have happened if their were not so much coverage of the "Ellis and Curry are too small to play next to each other" issue.
