Bowling this Friday (11/21) Now with more UPDATION

Since the last thread lost steam sometime last week, I figure it is time to finalize this, and provide the concrete details to the masses in one convenient, easy-to-swallow OP.

What: Bowling!! Drinking!! Socializing!!

When: 7:30PM on Friday, 11/21

Where: Hillcrest Bowling Alley (click for directions)

Why: Why the hell not? Bowling is a great way to unwind after a long week, and this gives many of us a chance to meet

Bring anybody you'd like, sine I reserved us a pair of lanes which will comfortably allow for 10 people or so, and we can definitely add more if needed. The beer selection can be hit and miss, but it's a bowling alley so that's to be expected. They do, on occasion at least, have Mac and Jack on tap, as well as the many usual suspects. Anyhow, this is a great spot for everybody to pop in and provide a realistic head count, as well as ask any questions that may arise as we go along. Hope to see a bunch of you there!

UPDATE!

List of people attending:

--

Myself

Sec 108 + wife

Royalcurve

Thingray + wife

James F'n X

Red + wife

dpseadv

"Maybes"

--

Kevin_ess

BrianL

Corco

Katal

Smith18

All of you maybes feel free to convert into definites. See you there!

LL Bowling night?

So apparently I've been tasked with attempting to arrange a bowling night for all of us. The previous shot at this never came to fruition, but maybe this time will be different. What can't us, right?

So, this would be a good time for everybody to try and focus on scheduling and location, because we are a group that has most of Western Washington covered. There are a ton of Bowling Alleys in the area, so feel free to drop a suggestion if you have a preference. I figure doing it on a Friday night or Saturday night would work best for most here, but the consensus will determine that. Many houses also do a Rock'n Bowl with flashing lights and loud (generally shitty) music, but these are commonly crowded with middle-shoolers, which is annoying. Others offer Colorpin bowling, which awards money for throwing strikes when different-colored pins are in your rack (but you have to be 18 years old). These could be sound options as well. Who knows? Who cares? That's what this thread is for.

Have at it, and let's get something figured out soon because I would like to finally meet everybody here.

Seems like our old buddy Mike Hargrove got himself back into baseball, managing a little team in a little town in Kansas. Yes, Mike Hargrove is now in charge of (the) Liberal BeeJays.

I say good for him. At least he's come back to the game he loves, and in a nice, low-pressure situation. Hopefully he doesn't grow bored of BeeJays every day, because that would be unfortunate for him.

Discuss...

Apparently he shaved it off today. I personally feel that he should have left it. It would have helped because all the other teams would have thought he was some sissy aristocrat. He could have worn a monocle and top hat. That 'stache is quite... odd though. No match for a true hockey-esque playoff beard.
