Reid=Inflexable, unadaptable, unimaginative

First off, I don't think the Fatman should be fired. In fact, I think he should be extended. I don't think he should be extended for too long though. Just wanted to get that out of the way, so you Reid nuthuggers don't cry.

Andy's Eagles have always looked the same. They have been very good at times and very bad at times. More good then bad though. But,as we all know, he hasn't done enough in the pressure situations to warrant anything other than a little credit.

Trotter coming back????

Adam Schefter, of ESPN, says that the Eagles have worked out Jeremiah Trotter to see what kind of shape he is in at this point.

This doesn't seem to be good news for our starting MLB Omar Gaither. I never played in the NFL, or in College, but Gaither doesn't seem to be getting the job done. He hasn't been impressive, thus far, but lets hope this work out of Trotter lights a fire or something.

Does anyone else really really... miss Stewart Bradley? Jeez, we could really use his services right now.

What does everyone else think? Is Gaither getting it done? No way Trotter comes back, right? Who else has a man crush and really misses Stewart Bradley? This doesn't show that Sean McDermott has a lot of confidence in Gaither.

What should we do?

Please help me understand

A lot of posters on this site are pretty smart. I like to use these people and steal their knowledge.

This is what I need: Please explain what is actually wrong with Sean Shawn Andrews back.  For real, I don't know what is actually(specifically) wrong with it. I would like to see what it is and then go look for other people with the same problem. If like 10 other lineman have had the same problem and continued to produce after the injury then I will be a little pissed. If this is a serious injury, and other people don't normally come back from injuries like his, then I will calm down.

Has anyone else thought about this angle? I don't really have a lot of time to look up this stuff. I have a huge test on Monday, so Sunday is gone because of the game. For this reason, I have to study, and not look at Shawn's injury.

Can someone do this? Thanks

Where I am going to be looking...

It's finally here, no more speculation, or stupid arguments about nothing important. The season starts this week! Our team looks like it has the goods, but we all know that looks are not important. We need the real thing.

Week one isn't going to be easy.

Here are some of my concerns for these up coming weeks and what I will be looking for Sunday...

Please help me understand something

Are we, I mean the Eagles, going to keep 4 quarterbacks? Why is this what I have been hearing(reading)? Please tell me that I am not the only person--rabid Eagles fan--who thinks this would be a retarded move. If we didn't think that Mike Vick was good enough to be our back up's back up, then explain the move to me. He should be the 3rd Qb. What is the problem with that? He might have to play(start) if something happens to DMoney and Kolb. Ok, I get it. That leads to my next question. Is AJ Feely waay better than Mike Vick? Why would anyone think this????? Especially our FO?

I could go on forever, really. This is a major concern of mine. Can someone please straighten me out. I read this site everyday and I still have no idea why anyone would even consider this as a viable option. Especially since we have--might have-- some problems at FS and we have extra talent at the WR position.

Any explaination would be appriciated. Thanks

Heyward-Bey signed by Oakland

Espn is reporting the signing of Oakland's 1st rounder, Darrius Heyward-Bey. Although the terms were not released, his deal is said to be garanteed to be worth at least 23.5 million. Since he was picked 7th and Maclin was picked 19, Maclin has to be expecting to get less money.

Wasn't Maclin the 3rd WR taken? So, he should now have a contract to go off of. Does this mean that we are one step closer to having our much coveted WR in camp?

I really hope so.

Is Maclin signed or what??

I read this website everyday, and I saw that there were rumors that Maclin signed a 6 year deal. I have yet to actually see anything official. I hope that I just missed it. I saw that Shady and the back up linemen were signed but nothing about our potential stud WR...

Did he sign yet or what???

So what? Is he signed, or is he still trying to get more money? Does anyone else like that DJax is always mentioning him when interviewed? I do, maybe Djax sees that Maclin is a player and that is why he mentions him a lot.

Kornheiser Replaced!!!

First off, I send my thoughts and feelings for JJ and his family. I really hope he takes care of his health situation. I hope his Melenoma hasn't metastisized(that is a word right?) too much. I think they said that it was already in his lymphatic system and that isn't too good from what I have heard. He needs to concentrate on that and I think he shouldn't worry about the Eagles until he is cleared by his doctors.

On to some better news...Hooray! Espn and their Monday Night  Football producers have answered the my call(Not literally). They stepped up and picked up a former SuperBowl Champion coach and the former Eagles offensive coodinador John Gruden to add to their MNF crew!

I know most people don't like Gruden as much as I do, but I know that almost everyone here can agree that he has to be a large step up from Kornheiser. I personally would hardly ever watch MNF if the Eagles were not being showcased nationally. I do really only watch MNF when a NFC East team is playing for scouting and any upcoming Eagles opponent(s). One of the reasons for that was Kornhieser. He has always turned my stomach whenever he opened his mouth. Now I can see myself watching more MNF now that 'Chucky' is on and Kornhieser isn't there to make my blood boil.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4174469

What do you guys think? Gruden is an upgrade, right? Kornhieser is a clown and super annoying, right? Is MNF going to be more watchable when the Birds aren't on now?

Eagles FO loves snooping on peoples Myspace

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/41735892.html

Bob Brookover said in the Inquirer that Jack Ikegwuonu was talked to by the FO for a picture that ended up on his sisters Myspace.

Does anyone know what was the deal with the picture?

Personally, I would be more than a little upset if my bosses called me into the office because they were looking at my sisters Myspace and all that. What do you guys think?

Is it me or is this 2nd Myspace related incident too many with the Eagles FO?

For the record, I just think this stuff is really sad. But if we win the Championship I could care less. But, until then, I continue to be suprised at the way these guys do business.

Andy Reid: Why is the phone ringing?

Tom Heckert: I am busy Sir, rememeber we fired all the help to save money.

Andy Reid: Ok, Ill get it. Hello

Phone: This is Leonard Weavers agent, I've been calling for days and no one has answered. We want to come and sign.

Andy Reid: Ohh, sorry, we have been really busy, were currently conducting the monthly audit of everyones Myspace. We were kinda busy.

Phone: WTF? Myspace is more important than a Fullback?

Andy Reid: I still have decided on that one, I'll have to check my binder and I'll get back to you.

80k people feel the Eagles weren't justified

Thanks to the always vigilant 'For your information' crew here on BGN, if first heard about the poor guy that got shit canned for his stupid facebook comment. I can with reasonable confidence say that the collective opinion of BGN was 'He deserved being fired or he should have switched his settings or something to that effect'. Well as unsuprised as all of you should be, I totally and unequivocally disagree with that argument. The thing is 80,000 other people agree with me too.

http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/poll/index?pCat=46&sCat=352

I have been so redundant it has been annoying the shit out of even me. All I say is that you guys are Eagles FO lapdogs and groupies and other stuff like that. Here is yet another example of that. Some passionate fan says something on a stupid site and he gets fired for it. Then (again I think it would be fair to say) ya'll agree with the lame Eagles organization again!!!! WTF?

Doesn't the Bill of Rights in our Constitution permit freedom of expression and press? Seriously, semantics and philology aside, was dude using a Eagles company computer or something?

Does this lame firing continue to add the terrible repuatation of the Eagles FO? I'll tell you one thing ya'll(at least you should) firing someone on the phone is weak and sorry. It makes the organization look really weak(They are, by the way), and if the Eagles FO had a favorite color it wouldn't be green, it would be Yella!!!!
