Porter to visit Cardinals
Adam Schefter reports via his twitter page that Porter is to visit with the Arizona Cardinals. We get Dansby, They get Porter. I like it.
Antonio Bryant
I like him. He's got decent size and speed, plus he is a playmaker. The guy has never really had a good quarterback throwing to him so I don't think he's ever really lived up to his potential. If he comes for a reasonable price, I think we should sign him.
Dorin Dickerson: Potential TE steal?
As many of you know, Dorin Dickerson ran a 4.40 official 40 yard dash at the NFL combine. I know he is a bit undersized for a TE, but these small, quick TEs are becoming a popular figure in the NFL. (Think Dallas Clark) He seems to be a playmaker, and also very versatile, playing other positions such as fullback. I think the Dolphins might take a shot on this guy in the 3rd round if he's there. Click the link for some highlights. You'll notice that in the last clip, Dickerson is shown as a pretty good run blocker.
Yeremiah Bell named Pro Bowl Alternate
He is replacing Antoine Bethea of the Colts as the AFC's alternate Safety.

Where does Camarillo fit in?
After seeing Brian Hartline start against the Buccaneers, I am starting to wonder if Greg Camarillo fits into the future of the the Dolphins receiving corps. If Hartline turns out to be the receiver that we all want him to be, Camarillo could find himself in another city soon. It also depends on how much the Phins value Brandon London. He is a key special teams contributor that this organization is appears to be high onThink about it. Camarillo might not really work into our unit anymore.
'Without Camarillo in the picture, our receiving corps. could look like so:
1. Ted Ginn - Third year speedster
2. Brian Hartline - Good Hands, Big play ability, Can Block
3. Devone Bess - Prototypical slot reciever, agile, fantastic hands, always seems to get open
4. Patrick Turner - Big, physical, red zone threat
5. Brandon London - Good size, potential, key contributor on special teams
Deal with Williams sisters announced
We already knew it was coming, but the Miami Herald is reporting the deal has been done.
Here's a link to thew article
I am personally starting to get real tired of all these celebrities. There better be not be down on the sidelines talking to players. At least we know that the Phins will be able to create some revenue stream. I wonder how many more of these little sales Stephen Ross has got left in him...
Terrible Dolphin player ratings in Madden 10
As usual, the dolphins are getting completely snubbed by the folks over at EA Sports. There are some absurd things in the dolphins depth chart on madden. Here are just a few:
- Cameron wake is not even on the roster
- None of our cornerbacks have been given very good ratings: Smith and Will Allen are 75s, Vontae is a 77, which is ridiculous to think Davis is already better than Allen.
- Jason Ferguson has been rated a 76, even though he was a very solid nose tackle last year
- Pennington is rated an 85, which is not even in the top 10 QBs. This is pretty slim for someone who finished second in MVP Voting.
-Jason Taylor is rated a 79. Terrible considering he was defensive MVP not so long ago.
There are too many to list, but i suggest you check it out your self. They are the second team down on the list.
Sean Smith Interview
Man, I like these draft picks
Joey Porter gives tour of Dolphins facility
This is pretty cool. Shows the dedication of CP10
Marc Anthony now a minority owner
We knew this was coming, just thought I'd post it anyway.
Vondae Davis Interview
I still am having a little trouble understanding him, but I like this guy's attitude. I think he has just enough swagger to be confident, but not so much it will get him in trouble.

View of the defense with JT in the picture
As many of you are, I am very excited that Jason Taylor is back in a Dolphins uniform. Its just that many of you believe that Jason Taylor is now the leading contender to take Matt Roth's place at OLB. (On the majority of downs.) I don't think that there is any way there will happen. I don't think he will have the overall endurance over the season to keep up with being a full time starter.
We all know that Parcells loves to build for the future, and it is obvious that because of his age, JT is not it. What JT will do for us is add variety and a new weapon for our pass rush. I am one of those who believe that Roth would be able to make the move to ILB, because of his fantastic ability to stop the run. Parcells wants to build his linebackers for the future, and that is why he wants to get as many young guns in there as possible. Right now he has Crowder, Wake, and Roth in their mid 20s. Like it has been said before, this organization is not going to let veterens past their time hamper the development of young talent.
In my opinion the starting line up (on most downs) will be Porter and Wake at OLB, with Crowder and Roth at ILB. In third down pass rushsituations is where JT comes in. With the creativity of this coaching staff, I am sure that they will come up with all sorts of packages that will get JT in there. Offensive lines are gonna be in for hell if they have to account for Joey Porter, Jason Taylor, and Cameron Wake. I think they will be mixed around plenty. There will most definitely be some overload packages with Porter, and Wake at OLB and ILB, with JT lined up as a defensive end. Not only that, but they will have to account for the potential of a safety blitz from Wilson or Bell. Plus, with the fact that Porter was so tired last year, I wouldn 't be surprised if he is subbed in with him on a regular basis for normal downs.
I would say that we have not only upgraded our secondary this season, but our pass rush will have just as much of an impact on the defensive. The overall scope and talent pool reminds me of the Ravens and the Steelers of last year. Let us only hope that we get the same results.
Wonderlic Scores of Draft Prospects
I found this article about the wonderlic test scores of some draft prospects. This is a test that is used to measure a potential player's intelligence level, with the score ranging from 1 - 50. (They have to answer 50 questions in a 12 minute time period.) A score of 20 is supposed to indicate an average intelligence.
Here are the scores:
QBs:
Matt Stafford - 38
Mark Sanchez - 28
Josh Freeman - 27
WRs:
Michael Crabtree - 15
Darrius Heyward Bey - 14
Percy Harvin - 12
Hakeem Nicks - 11
Jeremy Maclin - 25
OTs:
Andre smith - 17
Eben Britton - 31
Eugene Monroe - 24
Jason Smith - 23
Michael Oher - 19
LBs:
Clay Mathews - 27
Brian Cushing - 23
Rey Maualuga - 15
DBs:
Kevin Barnes - 41
Louis Delmas - 12
These scores are taken into consideration by teams looking to draft players. Keep in mind that it doesn't necessarily mean much, considering our own Dan Marino scored a whopping 15. What we can come away with though is that Hakeem Nicks, lowest in this year's draft, is barely literate.

Cameron Wake Interview
An interview with new Dolphins linebacker Cameron Wake was posted on miamidolphins.com
So far everything that I see from this guy leads me to believe that Cameron Wake is the pass rushing force we have been looking for. He posted insane numbers in the CFL, which plays at a higher level than college. (39 sacks in two years.) From all the interviews and footage I have seen from him, he seems to have a tremendous work ethic and has his head on straight. His physical numbers are great. At the 2005 Combine he ran a 4.55. (He apparently has broken into the 4.40s in Canada.) He also posted a 45 inch vertical leap. (The highest vertical by a linebacker this year was 37 inches, set by Aaron Curry.) He weighs in at 243 pounds.
Here is a special feature on him from a Canadien sports channel:
I have very High hopes for this guy
What About Zach Thomas?
With all these rumblings about the return of Jason Taylor, has anyone stopped to think about the possibility of Zach Thomas returning? I believe he is still a free agent, and has said he has no intention of returning to the Cowboys. I have heard no buzz on any other teams being interested in him, so he might come cheap to the place that he spent most of his illustrious career to finish his legacy. I would love to entertain the possibility of Zach Thomas returning for a 1 - 2 year contract. I still believe he is an upgrade to Akin Ayodele, and good provide strong leadership for the defense. Anyone have any thoughts?

Brian Robiskie: Round 2 Steal?
As of late, I have grown very fond of Brian Robiskie. He has all the measureables:6'3, 209 pounds. He would provide the big target that our offense needs. From the videos I have seen, he seems to have great hands. But the best part? He is projected to be picked in round 2, leaving us to fulfill our most pressing need, cornerback. (As some of you may know, I am against the drafting of a pass rusher in the first round, as I believe strongly in the abilities of Cameron Wake) Below is just one video I have seen that has shown some of the potential this guy has. By the way, he was a former teammate of Ted Ginn's at Ohio State :)
If the Phish Draft Reciever...
If the Dolphins draft a reciever in the first round? My choice woud be Kenny Britt. He has great size. (6'3, 218 pounds) This is the type of reciever the phins need. The latest mock draft on NFL.com believes that the Dolphins will pick up Percy Harvin, but I find him to be to close to Ted Ginn. I think with Britt, Ginn, Camarillo, and Bess, the Dolphins will have a great set of WRs.
What do you think?
Cameron Wake
You guys keep talking about drafting an outside linebacker, but I think we could have a solid one in cameron wake. At 6’3 and 241 pounds, about the same size, if not bigger, than most linebackers in the draft. He was the sack leader in the CFL for both years he played, and defensive MVP as well. He was a DE in canada but he played outside linebacker at Penn. State so he has good linebacker experience. Also, he ran a 4.55 at the combine a few years back, which is faster than any linebacker in the draft this year. Plus, in interviews he seems to be all about the team, giving credit to his teammates all the time. Seems like the perfect parcells guy.
What do you guys think?
