I was raised a Steeler fan by my father from Clarion, PA. I have been watching the Steelers religiously since 1995 and bleed black and gold just like the rest of Steeler Nation. I have lived all over the Midwest and currently reside in the South in Jacksonville, Florida. I am 22 and I go to college at the University of North Florida where I am a Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.

Support our Steelers and Vote for the 2009 ESPY Awards
Our Pittsburgh Steelers are nominated for five 2009 ESPY Awards:
1. Best Team: Pittsburgh Steelers

2. Best Game: Pittsburgh over Arizona in Super Bowl XLIII

3. Best Coach: Mike Tomlin

4. Best NFL Player: James Harrison, OLB

5. Best Play: QB Ben Roethlisberger's pass to WR Santonio Holmes in Super Bowl XLIII

It requires you to have an ESPN.com account to vote, which is a slight hassle, but if you want to see our Steelers walk away with five ESPY awards, you'll do your part and vote!

Voting ends 11:59 p.m. on July 11th so be sure to vote by then. Then tune into the ESPY Awards July 19th at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
My brother and I at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium week 5 of the 2008 season. We were lucky enough to be seated in the corner of the end zone that Hines Ward scored the game winning touchdown! It was about 60% Jags & 40% Steelers fans. Steeler Nation has a large following here in Jacksonville, go Pittsburgh!
7 Round Mock Draft
Whats going on everyone, this is my first post so I figured I'd entertain everyone with my 2009 Mock Draft, here it goes:
1. Alex Mack, C, Cal
(Big, Smart, Able to make immediate impact)
2. Fili Moala, DE, USC
(Big DT that can be converted to a DE)
3. Mike Thomas, WR, Arizona
(Small but very fast, could be weapon on special teams & as a slot receiver)
4. Dorell Scott, DT, Clemson
(Big DT to hopefully one day replace Big Snack)
5a. Louis Vasquez, G, Texas Tech
(Big guard that had the most bench press reps at combine with 39, can compete with Kemoeatu)
5b. Donald Washington, CB, Ohio State
(Steelers checked him out at Pro-Day, good size for a CB & can compete with Gay)
6. Frank Summers, RB, UNLV
(Frank The Tank, nickname says it all. 5'9" fireplug that can help compliment our running game)
7a. Brandon Long, LB, Michigan St.
(Check this kid out, had a great Pro-Day workout (33 reps on bench, more than any LB at combine), he could be useful on special teams & one day turn into quality LB.
7b. Alex Boone, OT, Ohio St.
(Ive heard a few problems about Boone but the guy is 6-7 315+ lbs & plays for Ohio St., he has to have some upside!)
I feel that this draft would cover every need the team has going into next season:
3 0-Lineman (C,G,T) and 2 D-Linemen (DE, DT), WR with speed, CB, Power RB, & an additional LB.
Let me know what my fellow black & gold fans feel about this mock! Go Steelers!
