My father has had 2 seats since the '65-'66 season, in the old Garden. He transitioned to the new Garden and we have had seats in section 202 ever since. I have been going to 20+ games (half season, we split with another fan) since '80. I was at Game 7, Devils and Canucks in '94, saw Gretzky play his last game and saw Mess, Richter and Graves raised to the rafters.

Now that I am in my 30s and married, I have begun paying for my seat and I will turn my future kid(s) into True Blue.

RANGERS hockey is my only sports passion and it has forged a fantastic bond with my father.

I have been reading Blueshirt Banter for some time and finally decided to join. Its not easy to find people who want to talk hockey.

Blueshirt Banter Who are we rooting for tonight?

I assume its for the Rangers, so they head into the playoffs on a roll. But is anyone secretly rooting for the Caps, Florida to lose and the Devils to beat Ottawa so the Rangers play FLA? just curious. I personally dont care who the Rangers match up against.

you have to beat the best to be the best. whooooooooooooo! plus any team could have a great series and I wouldnt count FLA out.

and since I need to hit the 74-word mark, too bad the game goes against the second night of Passover. thankly its not next week or we would have some tough decisions to make. I have ditched some important family events in the past for Ranger games but the wife would be pissed. you have to weigh the import of the game versus a lifetime of her holding it against me. they dont forget gentlemen. ever.

Blueshirt Banter Please help. How can I watch the playoffs online when traveling?

I need the help of my fellow Blueshirts. Unfortunately, I will be traveling during some of the playoffs. I want to know a viable way to watch LIVE Rangers games during the playoffs.

The NHL Center Ice package is subject to blackout when games are on NBCSports, NHL Network, NBC so that would not seem like an option since NBC/Sports has the rights to the playoffs. NBCSports does not appear to have an option to purchase the ability to stream live playoff games.

My brother-in-law suggested Slingbox so I could watch whatever channels my home tv has. However, I prefer to cut out the Slingbox (assuming I could even figure out how to hook it up) and just buy playoff access for my computer.

Can anyone help me out? It would be most appreciated as this is causing me quite some anxiety. And Murphy's Law made it during the year they have a real shot.

Thanks in advance to all suggestions.

Blueshirt Banter Where can I find the final two episodes of HBO 24/7?

I asked this before the series started and watched the first 2 episodes of 24/7 on Youtube but then they got wind of it and removed further episodes. Now they seem pretty diligent about preventing the newest episodes from being uploaded. Does anyone know a site where I can watch the last 2 episodes, preferably without downloading software or files? Something similar to Youtube. Thanks in advance for your time guys.

Let's Go Rangers! (sorry needed 3 extra words to make the minimum).

Blueshirt Banter 2 tickets for tonight's game available: face value, great seats

Hey guys,

A sick baby has freed up two tickets to tonight's game versus the Leafs. The tickets are great seats: section 113, seats 16-17, in the newly renovated section. They are face value. They are $100 tickets and it seems MSG attaches a $17 surcharge, sorry I put in the minimum value allowable and had nothing to do with the extra charge. If interested, go to: https://teamexchange.ticketmaster.com/html/eventlist.htmI?l=EN&team=rangersnhl

Choose buy and after signing in, click on section 113 on the MSG diagram, seats 16-17.

Thanks and enjoy.

Hopefully when my son is older and a huge Ranger's fan, he will apologize for the ramifications of his illnesses:)

Let's go Ranger's!

Blueshirt Banter Lundqvist ties the knot this summer

Scott Burnside of ESPN is reporting that much to the dismay of women everywhere and Sean Avery, that Lundqvist was married this summer. Nice to hear good news in the midst of all the tragedy.

Sorry Avery, you need to find a new wing man. May I suggest Dubi. That pornstache must draw the ladies to him like flys to shit.

This 75 word limit is killing me. So as a space filler, I am reporting my amazement of actually seeing some blue sky in NJ. It has felt like England for the past week.

Blueshirt Banter Dubi's Pornstache Makes Headlines

And he claims its real and its fantastic. I would love to see the 'stache get an assist like Hartnell's beard. Wow it's really tough to come up with 75 words to publish a fanpost. I feel like I am padding a school essay. I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, like the pornstache.

Blueshirt Banter Any advice for bringing my 4-month old to a game?

I wanted to bring my son to a game and get him started as a 3rd-generation season ticket holder. Have any of the fathers (or mothers) brought a child of similar age to the Garden? Any advice?

Sadly, after 30 years of going to the Garden, I cannot remember if the men's bathrooms have changing tables. My wife also asked if the noise level would upset a babies ears. And will the Garden be a-holes about bringing baby bottles with water (plastic, not glass)?

Any advice would be most welcome. I just need to justify going ahead with this plan (which most likely includes the wife cutting the game short), which is clearly more for me than him. Thanks fellow Blueshirts.

Blueshirt Banter Who will be the lone Rangers' All-Star?

I am curious as to who you think will by the lone Ranger (pun intended) representative at this year's All-Star game? I noticed that ESPN's LeBrun/Burnside chose Gaborik in their mock draft. I personally greatly disagree with this choice as Gaby has missed quite a few games and although his numbers are respectable for the number of games he has played, most Ranger's fans will agree he has been less than stellar this year. I would hate to see the NHL chose Gaborik based on past performance.

I would also hate to see the NHL chose from only those Rangers on the All-Star ballot. Lundqvist has been good, but not unbelievable as he has in the past. It may be a result on the Rangers being able to score this year and Lundqvist not needing to hold the opposition to 2 goals or less every game in order to win. And let's face it, there are more deserving Eastern conference goalies (eg,  Thomas, Pavelec).

Staal has been good but will he be chosen? I personally am voting for Dubinsky. The guy is on pace for 68 points, eclipsing he former total by almost 30 points. He leads the team in goals and assists. He has been pretty consistent and has not disappeared for stretches as he has done in the past. And he has played with everyone and succeeded (eg, Cally, Gaby, Stepan...). I would be quite upset if Dubinsky was not chosen because he is not a household name or simply because he was not a ballot choice. We all know those ballot options lag a year behind.

Thoughts and gripes fellow Blueshirts?
