Uecker and the Stalker
Most have probably seen this but I cant resist. Too much humor potential.
Always the trooper..Lilly vows to pick up slack for Bradley
Gotta love Ted. Willing to do anything and everything for the team..Possibly the only man alive that can.....
The elephant (er..Ryno) in the dugout
Noticed the AP article today
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-cubs-sandberg&prov=ap&type=lgns and the comments by Al a few days ago. I cant help but think that Ryno will be on the Cubs bench next season. When thinking of Santo's comments regarding Sandbeg yesterday - paraphrase (Ryno was so nice as a player, a joker, now tough, hardcore manager, ejections, etc) - one thing comes to mind. Ryno is a winner. Failure is not an option. As a manager, being unable to affect the game on the field via physical ability, this character trait comes through. When some mention Ryno could replace Trammel, I agree. This would be the best situation for Ryno to begin to have impact and assist in the development of his team. I am no Trammel expert but he seems to be the perfect example of what Ryno does not want to do (failure as a manager). Ryno has made the right first steps and a bench coach seems to be the logical next step.
