Entering final semester at Florida State University, lifelong supporter of the university. My father is an alum and I grew up on the glory days of the 90's but understand that things move in cycles. FSU is making a triumphant return and I will be with them for every step of the journey. Fair weather fans, go grab an umbrella and meet me at Doak this fall! The storm isn't over but the clouds are moving swiftly!!

Michael Snaer shines bright

Snaer has seriously elevated his game at a great time. 14 of his last 19 from beyond the 3-point arch. Averaged 18 ppg in the ACC Tourny. A full 4 more than his season average.

Vote for Charlie Ward to grace the cover of NCAA Football 2013

Voting opens up today guys. Sure he'll be sharing the cover with RGIII if he wins, but regardless it'll be awesome to see 17 in garnet and gold on the cover! The Seminole fanbase has shown its ability to dominate in online voting in previous years and this cause is as good as any, so lets do what we can to spread the word and make this happen!

Bobby Bowden still holding a Grudge?

With the announcement that Bowden will be inducted into the FSU Hall of Fame but will NOT be attending the home opener, is his grudge still justified and is it fair to fans? We are all aware of the ugly ending to his tenure here. It was less than desirable for both parties. But with the extension of an olive branch being shrugged off, this seems to be the last chance to reconcile.

Tony Stevens Scouting Evaluation

Derrell Warren wrote up this scouting evaluation of Tony Stevens and goes into detail about what makes this kid such an intriguing and special prospect. You can find Derrell on twitter @yssd

FSU Roster Movements in 2012 (thoughts)

Here's my take on some of the roster movements in 2012. All in all I don't see any negatives with these scenarios and while I recognize the debate over Karlos Williams moving (and ultimately not moving) can be polarizing, I'm actually a bit split on it myself.

FSU Secondary Wildcard Terrence Brooks

Brooks came on strong in his sophomore season as a reserve and really improved as the season went on. He was able to show great versatility and has the skillset to be a legitimate option at two positions. It will be interesting to see where he shakes out this Spring.

Hot Debate: Size in the Defensive Secondary

Got into a minor twitter discussion over whether or not players of a certain height should be recruited to play cornerback at FSU. Ultimately, it'll be a matter of preference for most, but I expounded on my own thoughts here. Would love to know what the rest of you all think.

A pair of FSU Linebackers look to Bulk Up

Spring Camp is just over a month away and the Noles are looking to replace the leadership and production of Nigel Bradham. Jeff Luc is a guy most people will be eager to see and rightfully so. But in order for the unit as a whole to perform well I'm keeping my eyes on whether or not Telvin Smith takes the next step in his development and what FSU can get out of second year LB Terrance Smith.

Everett Dawkins now Senior Leader on Elite Defensive Line

Dawkins isn't a kid who gets a ton of praise, but his role and value to the FSU defense is immense and reliable. Dawkins has played in 40 straight games for the Noles now and entering his final season, will be one of the go to guys in terms of grooming the young talent on the DL. He's a guy that has always conducted himself well and worked hard to transform himself into a consistently high performing DT.

Noles will look to test well at NFL Combine

Nigel Bradham, Zebrie Sanders, Andrew Datko, Shawn Powell, Mike Harris and Beau Reliford will be performing at the NFL combine this year. A chance for a couple of them to make some movement on the boards if things go well.

Early Prognosticating: Class of 2012 Early Impact

Who do you think will see the field early in 2012? Obviously early, but making the predictions can't hurt. I chose: RB, Mario Pender OL, Daniel Glauser P, Cason Beatty DE, Mario Edwards Jr. Honorable Mentions DT Eddie Goldman LB Ukeme Eligwe LB Reggie Northrup OL Menelik Watson

#1 QB Jameis Winston Officially Signs with the Seminoles

Not a major surprise obviously, but tons of minds are put at ease. Now, the waiting game to see where Winston is drafted.

Florida State Football: Off-season Championing is Underway!

The reaction to Florida State this off-season will be an interesting one, I think. Some of the national media has backed off after feeling "burned" or tricked into buying into FSU, while others insist that the program is headed in the right direction. What's for certain is that the great structure and recruiting being built is going to have to translate into more wins and more significant wins, starting in 2012.

Notable Comments from Jimbo Fisher's NSD Press Conference

Just a few of the interesting things I thought were shared in today's Press conference

Dante Fowler Jr. Saga is over

The type of recruitment that makes you hate following recruiting altogether.

Florida State Seminoles Class of 2011: One Year Later

As we sit around waiting on LOI's to come in, here's a look back at the #1 rated 2011 class.

Mario Pender Slides in Latest Rankings

When the latest Rivals 100 was released on Monday, many were expecting for Mario Pender to get a bump to 5-star status. They were greeted with the opposite, as he slid six spots down to 33 overall. I think I have a good understanding of both why it happened and why it doesn't matter one bit.

Florida State vs. Florida 2011, Things to Watch For

Just a few things to keep an eye on during tomorrow's game

Why the Noles and Gators Rivalry is Still Relevant

Despite combining for 9 losses on the year so far, the Noles and Gators still have a lot to fight for this weekend. At this point, it's anyone's guess what the outcome will be.

Jimbo Fisher's Growing Pains

There's no question that this season has been a disappointment for FSU and the fanbase's faith in Fisher is shaky at this point. What we're dealing with here are growing pains that he needs to work through and figure out and do so rather quickly if he is going to stick around at FSU.

Month of October is critical for FSU

With the Noles having a stretch of what should be four wins and no losses and their biggest rivals facing much tougher stretches, October will be the defining month for the 2011 season.

Bjoern Werner makes a statement on National Stage

There is little doubt that after Saturday night, many more people are aware of Bjoern Werner

FSU vs. Oklahoma: The Big Picture

Win or lose tomorrow night, this program is headed in the right direction and the type of excitement felt in Tallahassee right now is nothing like any of the students have ever felt before. That in itself is a positive sign if nothing else at all.

Rashad Greene makes Big Noise early

It isn't common for a kid to come out of the gate with his first three receptions all going for touchdowns. At this early point in the season, Greene averages 42 yards per reception. It isn't likely that he'll contribute much this coming weekend against Oklahoma, but the Seminoles have to feel good about having a young playmaker emerging.

Florida State depth chart sends a clear message

Feels good to have team with true functional depth that encourages in-house competition on the daily in practice.

Putting Florida State's injuries into perspective

I did this last season also. Just running through the Seminole schedule and taking a look at the injuries/player loss that our opponents are facing to open the season. I do this because it can be a bit troublesome reading daily practice reports of players not participating. Every program is facing their share of problems.

Freshman Fridays: DE Giorgio Newberry

Giorgio Newberry isn't talked about as much as some of the other players in his freshman class, but long term he could have quite the impact from his defensive end position for FSU.

Florida State defensive tackles look to remain fresh in 2011

With our DT rotation going from a consistent four bodies to a realistic seven and potential eight should pay huge dividends in 2011

Could FSU field the nation's top secondary?

Fun thought to entertain isn't it? There is little doubt that this will be the strongest unit Florida State has fielded in quite some time.

A look back at Florida State's 2010 signing class

A look at how Florida State's 2010 class is shaping up one year later. Amazing to remember the excitement and hype surrounding this group, which was obviously very very good. Even more amazing to when you take a step back and realize things got better . . .
