Hiding in the OU Crowd

ESPN Big 12 Blog: Colorado APR Penalty
I think it's comical that the first team to receive and accept an invitation to the PAC-10 is the only team in the Big 12 to be penalized by the NCAA in football for failing to meet the NCAA APR guidelines...
Crabtree's Freakish Arm length
I searched to see if this article had been put up by anyone else, and did not see that anyone else had posted a link to this article from the Next Season Sports. It talks about a stat that I did not check into for Crabtree, and apparently one most people did not know about Mr. Crabtree. This kinda shows the people that Michael Crabtree, though shorter than listed, still has an advantage over most receivers (football players) for this measurable.
Michael Crabtree a Freak - link has been updated to reflect original writer.
Cowboys Draft Picks - Drafting a Crowd?
So I was talking about this with my roommate from Tech, and I suggested that I think Jerry wasn't really drafting to fit all of their needs; instead, I have a suspicion that he may have been attempting to Draft a Crowd. Going through his picks, he went for guys from OU, TCU, Tech, and A&M, all which have a presence, three with a significant fan base(Tech, OU, TCU), within the Metroplex. What do you guys think on that? Not to say that the people drafted aren't legitimate players, well Stephen McGee is overrated, but it seems as though Jerry's business side had a role in some of their picks.
NEW RECRUIT
It was posted on the Rivals website today, 6'5'', 300 lb., offensive tackle, Michael Bowie has switched his commitment to Texas Tech from K-State. It is posted in an area that is free to all users of the site, not in a paid section, so no worries Seth. I will post the link, there isn't any inside information other than that he has a solid verbal commitment to Texas Tech. I'm glad to see we've added another big man to the '09 recruiting class!
Tech coach Leach had NYC traders scurrying
Only Mike Leach, the most entertaining college football coach, well any level of coach, would have this happen to him. This article has some quotes from the former Minnesota coach, Glen Mason, about meeting of Mike Leach and the Texas Tech Athletic director, Gerald Myers, in New York prior to the 2006 Insight Bowl. He describes a pretty funny story, that I could not picture happening to any other coach, well any other person really.
