I am a huge Bronco fan married to a huge Bears fan living in Chicago. Interestingly, I am still a fan of the QB-that-spurned-us, and after years of being a supportive hubby, I kind of root for the Bears now too.
I grew up in Ohio as one of those anti-home-team kids, so I despised the Bungles, Browns, and Buckeyes. I grew to be a Bronco fan after seeing Elway and the Broncos almost routinely year-in and year-out beat either the Bungles or Browns in the regular season or postseason. And the rest as they say is history...
Go Broncos!!!!!!
PS: A long time ago, I unofficially donned the mantel of the RCA, or the Resident Cutler Apologist, and I am still wearing it to this day with shame, er... I mean, pride!!!!
a fan of

Can football be fatal?
Sad story about Shane Dronett's suicide. Makes you reflect a bit differently on this sport that we all love so much...

Any Bears bars in SF?
Does anyone know of any Bears bars in San Francisco? My wife and I will be out there for New Year's and was hoping to find a good Bears bar to watch the game at. Thanks!
Open Letter to Bengals Community
Pretty funny letter and relevant to our interests.. I would've thought it was written by McGeorge if not for the fact that it was regarding the Chiefs mostly.

Clarification on Picks Remaining
Can someone help me? What picks do we have remaining?
I think the profile page on nfl.com is incorrect. It seems to me we should also have a 4th round (#119), coming out of the Baltimore trade:

Sorry, if this is posted elsewhere... there's SO MUCH content on MHR today and I am too busy at work today to sift through it all. =/
Thanks guys!
Raiders Dump Bad (understatement) Decisions
Whenever I feel down on the Broncos, I think: well, at least we're not the Raidaz!!!!
I'm not a whiz at math, but I do believe that comes out to be >1 million dollars per catch for Javon Walker. Can someone say: best job ever?!
PS: I think we should sign JWalk...
Favorite Superbowl Commercials
Well, I thought this year's commercials were a bit lackluster. I mean, some were downright awful (the Coke Simpsons one comes to mind) and the typical GoDaddy Danica Patrick ones are just getting old! Not that I really liked them to begin with... I know a lot of my friends loved the e-Trade ones, but I don't particularly find those that funny either.
But I thought there were a few to write home about. Here were my favorites, let me know yours!
ESPN: Irvin accused of rape in civil suit
Ok ok ok, innocent until proven guilty... And this sounds alot like someone trying to extort money from Irvin... But I really really can't stand this guy and especially how he is in the HoF.
In all seriousness, I think they should remove his arse from the HoF and replace him with Rod "the Consummate Professional" Smith. I'm dead MF serious.
Making fun of the Chargers, just doesn't get old, does it...

Bleacher Report - TD: The Greatest Postseason Performer in NFL History
Solid article on TD's merits in the postseason. This is something I argue about constantly with the naysayers who think TD is not deserving of the HoF. The naysayers always point to his short 4 season career, but never do they take into account that he put up a single-season's worth of rushing numbers in just 8 postseason games... where supposedly he is running against the best of the best in terms of opposing defenses. This article puts into perspective some of TD's postseason numbers and accomplishments.
I do agree TD doesn't deserve to get in ahead of folks like Rice, or Emmitt (maybe), or even Shannon, but I do think he deserves to get in eventually...

Davis Looking to Fire Cable
Oooh man... the Raiders make me happy everytime I think about them lately.
Ball boy outruns Lions STs
Not sure if this was posted somewhere already, but it is pretty humorous. Also, Waddle & Silvy managed to get him to call in this morning and he explained that basically it is his responsibility to get the ball after the TD and hold onto it in case the player wants it back as a keepsake. That's why he was sprinting down the sidelines...
A few links on you-know-who...
Ok, guys, as most of you know, I'm a Cutler apologist. However, as you hopefully also know, I'm not blinded by my Cutlerism and I do recognize his flaws as well as his contributions in the firestorm that got him shipped out of Denver and traded to the Bears. I'm a realist and I understand the reasons why he is no longer a Denver Bronco. I also recognize that there really isn't much of a reason to post these links aside from the fact that there are a few good tidbits of insight from our star CB into his state of mind regarding this offseason.
However, I do feel that with as much flak Cutler gets on this site these days, it's only fair to our former QB to get a little bit of positive pub every once and awhile. So, here are two fairly recent links:
Champ Bailey on the Waddle and Silvy Show (Chicago Talk Radio)
Cutler not interested in endorsements yet
The first link is interesting in that many of us (including me) were reading into Champ's initial comments regarding the Cutler trade as Bailey not viewing Cutler very favorably. If this interview is any indication, that was not accurate assessment. The second link is hopefully ... well, I guess for Bears' fans ... an indication that he is indeed maturing off the field and will show improvements on the field as a result. From a former fan's perspective, I think the accounts of what he has been doing off the field and his comments regarding focusing on football are highly classy and professional.
Yes yes, I know what you are going to say: "Tunga, you need to move on"... I've said the same thing myself several times in comments for other posts!! But as a self-proclaimed Cutler apologist, I just couldn't let these positive stories of Cutler not get posted, when all the negative ones do...
Anyways, for what its worth and for those few remaining Cutler fans out there, enjoy the links! =)

The eyes of greatness.
I forgot about this part of the KC/Denver game (watch through first 1:00 of the video) and it made me lol. Like I said before, even though the Broncos lost this game, it is in my Top 5/10 Favorite games of all time. This guy, Yoda9999, actually has the entire game cut up into 19 parts on youtube... I just finished re-watching the game.
Thoughts and Prayers
To everyone affected by the Binghamton situation... hope all you Bronco fans are safe out there.
And this certainly does provide some perspective on things... be happy you and your family are safe and healthy and remember that football is well, just a game.
Woody's Mailbag
Good insight by Woody on the Sharpe snubbing...

Guys,
Not sure if you've seen it already, but on the team website, Cutler has been posting daily accounts of his time in Hawaii. Good reading so far!
Prepare ourselves for disappointment
So, I heard this morning on M&M (Mike and Mike in the Morning) that they interviewed John Clayton and that J-Clay, a hof voter, claims that the voters were voting on Shannon Sharpe as a WR, not a TE. And that if that's the case, his chances are greatly diminished to make it in this year due to Chris Carter and Andre Reed having better overall numbers than Shannon.
Ummm....
Errrr....
Right! This makes absolutely no sense or logic whatsoever... except to further our evidence of the "Anti-Bronco Bias" that has been an hallmark of the hof voters for so many years. Shannon was not a WR, he was a TE, what's so difficult about that?! And oh btw, he was a TE that helped revolutionize the position to what it is today and retired owning almost every major receiving record ... by a TE. Even if these voters are looking at him as a WR, how about his 1 statistic to weigh in with the rest of the individual numbers: 3 Superbowl Rings.
To M&M's credit, they also think this makes no sense, and that Shannon should get definitely get in, if not this year, then at the very least sometime in the very near future.
In any case, let's hope this will not be the case and Shannon gets his well-deserved first-ballot honor.
Adam Schefter Interviews Shanahan (Part 2)
Best of luck to you, Coach!
Adam Schefter Interviews Shanahan (Part 1)
Good stuff from our former reporter and now ex-coach.
Another hilarious picture of the Undead Owner of our favorite ball club...
I think the picture was taken right after he dropped his dentures.
I'm not a big Jim Rome fan, but here's a great video with Eddie Royal. His testament to his mom is short, sweet, and touching. And the lag in the beginning between Rome and Eddy were humorous. ;)

The Happy Thanksgiving Post!!!
Here's to hoping everyone has a wonderful holiday, spent surrounded by family, shoveling ungodly amounts of food and beer down your throats, and enjoying some not-so-great football (ho hum, Lions and Rams...)!!!! You guys rock and this is the best Bronco site of all time! =)
Go Broncos!!!
Oh crap... need 25 more words... um, well, I think for the first time this year, I will be picking against the Broncos. I really hope I'm wrong!
Cutler on the sidelines...
Ok, so I rescind my previous comments on how Cutler does not study pix, talk to his coaches, etc while on the sidelines. At least according to this RMN story, he does. That's good to know and I guess we just don't get the TV shots of this during games or I'm blind!! ;)
Mike Pereira on NFL Network
VP of NFL Officiating Mike Pereira talks about the issues in our game this past Sunday.
Oh noes, MSM is catching on!!
Quote of emphasis:
"Gary Horton: I love Manning's ballhandling skills."
I'm sure he does...
EPIC FAIL
If I had any gripe with MHR, is that there isn't time enough in my day to keep up with you guys!!! lol... anyways, not sure if this has been posted somewhere yet, but here's a video of DeSean celebrating a bit too early back in college.
So I haven't been able to see any of the preseason games aside from videos online, but I love this pic of Alridge. His speed literally seems to jump out of the picture. It's too bad we lost him for the year... =/
