T.J. Houshmanzadah to Seattle
this is according to my cell phone.......text message ....so I couldn't provide a link...
We have to start and start fast....time is running out and we haven't been a big player for any of the big free agents.....
Titans sign Nate Washington and Jovan Haye.....so now they are gone as well....
This has been a sad.....a very sad weekend to be a Buccaneer fan....
I hope they know what they are doing and I can hope for a #1 pick in next years draft.......
According to Steve Wyche of NFL Network....
there is still some available talent left.................
Quarterbacks....Byron Leftwich, Chris Simms, Rex Grossman
Runningbacks....Derrick Ward, Cedrick Benson, J.J. Arrington
Wide Receivers....Laveraneous Coles, Devery Henderson, Nate Washington
T.J. Houshmanzadah signs with the Seattle Seahawks........desperate times are upon us!!!!!!!
Defensive Line....Igor Olshansky, Chauncey Davis, Jovan Haye
this list goes on......there maybe a light at the end of dark tunnel we have been going through these past couple of days....
A valuable lesson to be learned........
There once was a man who contacted his son, who was a contractor, to build him a house. He told his son that he had 1 million dollars and that he wanted him to construct the best possible home that he possibly build. He also told him that in return for this favor that he could keep whatever money that was left over. The son, greedy and selfish as he was, took it upon himself to buy the cheapest and least quality materials he could find. He took short cuts, but did enough to get by. Two months past, the house was complete. When the son approached his father to hand him the keys to his new home, his father turned to him and handed the keys back. He told him that the house was a gift for him and his family. The son, even though getting a big payday off of his shortscuts, was left with a subpar home and a disgruntled family.
Us as a family, the Bucs fans, will be disgruntled and Mark you had 60 million instead of one.
There are no Linebackers left, there are no Definsive Ends left.
Our #1 draft pick will go DL and our 2nd round pick is gone.
The remaining high profile Free Agents will have no interests in a team that hords money and has no desire to spend any on quality players. There will be no T.J.,there will be no Derrick Wards, there will be no Jay Cutler, there will only be a waste of a season and a waste of our time and money.
I'm tired, which I can only blame myself, and I am frustrated. With the amount of money we had and the holes that needed to be filled, I am truely disappointed.
Jscott, Bull Gator, and Craig T, I would like to thank you for your time and information that you spread to each and everyone of us.
Canty 6yr 42 mil to Giants
New York continues making bold moves to shore up its defense.
One day after signing DT Rocky Bernard and LB Michael Boley, the Giants signed free-agent DE Chris Canty to a six-year, $42 million contract that includes $17.25 million in guaranteed money. Now Dallas’ loss is New York’s gain.
Dallas could not afford to keep Canty, and Green Bay was trying to arrange for him to visit the Packers. But Canty did not want to leave New York — or the East Coast — and Sunday afternoon he took the Giants’ offer.
The Giants have gotten defensive. Again.
Grading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by position
Looking over the current roster........
QB- C (McCown ...... Have to see what he brings)
RB- C (Injury prone backfield....with Clifton Smith as a possible up swing)
WR- C minus (just because of the resigning of Clayton)
TE- A (Winslow and Gilmore combo.....I like it)
OL- B plus (young and talented)
DE- C ( one side doesn't complete an end)
DL- D ( one vet and abunch of young guys)
LB- D (Ruud is A plus ...and one man doesn't change the world)
CB- C (Barber aging and Talib is awesome.....the equal each other out)
S- B plus (Jackson is for real.....Piscitelli....I love him)
Special Teams- A+ ( best part of the team......thanks Clifton)
With this years schedule.......we are looking at no more than 4 wins.....MAX!!!
What Free Agency could have done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we are trying to trade for a QB.....
Then lets make moves with Green Bay, Miami, or Washington. Brian Brohm 6-3 220, strong arm and good size.......he would have been #1 QB in the draft if he would have gone after his Junior season instead of staying. He would be worth a try in my opinion. Chad Henne 6-3 230, great size with good accuracy......He was a Heisman candidate had good college success. Colt Brennan 6-3 212, strong arm and heart.......He just can flat out play, He was a system Quarterback at Hawaii but showed promise during the preseason last year. These are just a thought.....since there aren't any players in the draft we can get or in free agency which I think Raheem and Mark fell asleep.......somebody please wake them!!!!!!
