Free Agent Predictions
Just thought it would be a good idea to predict where the major free agents will sign. It seems like this site is full of predictions, wishful thinking and just outragous ideas. Let's try and keep this as realistic as you can as hard as that sounds. Just a couple of questions to think about:
Will anyone sign within the first hour free agency?
Will the Bulls sign anyone while everyone is sleeping?
Who do the Bulls target first? (JJ, Bosh)?
Here are the major free agents and my predictions:
LBJ - Chicago Bulls (bow down to the king)
BOSH - s & t w/Chicago Bulls (follows the king)... Taj, future 1st and James Johnson?
D WADE - Miami Heat ( gets help with Amare)
LEE - New Jersey Nets (JayZ & co. strike out with LBJ, JJ)
AMARE - Miami Heat (joins DWade on South Beach)
DIRK - Dallas Mavericks (Cuban doesnt let Dirk leave)
J. JOHNSON - New York Knicks (joins Dantoni)
BOOZER - New York Knicks (joins JJ for NYK revival, LOL)
PIERCE - LA Clippers (goes home and they need a SF)
GAY - New Jersey Nets (add Lee and Gay)
TYRUS :)

Rose Is Innocent
The investigations found no evidence of any former players (Rose) of cheating on the SAT
S. Jackson on Rondo/Howard
Not to beat a dead horse, but Jackson defends the NBA's decision to not change the foul to a flagrant 1. Apparently it's ok to make a "basketball move" make an "attempt" for the ball as long as there is no follow through.
Also, states the obvious that a foul in qtrs 1-3 should be a foul in the 4th qtr.
D. Howard suspended for game 6
For the elbow that I believed wasn't even called a foul during Game 5.
A Say Day
10 years ago MJ retired. Who knew 10 years we still haven't had an all-star and won 1 playoff series.
A nice piece by Adande remembering that day.
Another Trade Idea (Jermaine O'Neal)
Bored at work...so, I was thinking of another way of getting some help down low without giving up any of the few key parts of our "core". I don't know if Toronto would do this but just to get some talk going figure I would put it out there and see what you guys think. Here is my idea....
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=615~1711~356&teams=4~28~28&te=&cash=
For the Bulls, they get the lost post Center that would help offensively and defensively. If they can somehow keep Noah, he could serve as insurance in case O'Neal goes down due to injury. Now, since O'Neal has a large expiring contract this could free up money for the Bulls. I don't know if the Bulls would like this since it gives the BG camp some leverage upon negotiations. This might kill some of the 2010 plans unless Noc & Kirk can be moved. I woudl try and get some contracts which expire before 2010 summer so we still have that option. The Bulls can decide if O'Neal is worth anything as a free agent and go from there. Maybe a short 2 yr deal could work for both sides.
2008 Rotation:
Rose/Hunter
BG/Thabo
Deng/Thabo
Thomas/Noah
ONeal/Gray/Noah
For Toronto:
This trade doesn't kill any 2010 hopes of resigning Bosh and prevents them from spending any of the expiring contract of O'Neal on anything other than Bosh. Larry Hughes contract expires just in time for Bosh to get paid. I'm not convinced Toronto would do this but I've already written so figure to give it a go!!
Enjoy...
Tyrus still 6'9"
Looks like Tyrus has been fielding a lot of questions/emails regarding his height. He states he is still 6'9" but he does look like he has grown an inch or two. Not much else here, comments on how he thinks D. Rose and him will be great. Also, on the signing of Deng to a longtem contract.
Wade a Bull?
Interesting idea, #1 pick for D. Wade. There is the SG that gets to the line. Call me crazy but I think it's gonna take a little more to get Wade but Gordon & #1 pick?!?
Even though i dont think you're that good (Duh appreciation thread)
I respect you as a player. One of the most hated Bulls players here on Bab has taken a step back. With all the criticism considering his playing time, partying ways, and horrible shot he is a good teammate!!! He realizes his time is probably up for 2008 and knows he won't be on the team next year ,he still is ready if called upon. Thank you Chirs Duhon!! My favorite Chicago Bulls Chris Duhon moment is those 34 magical points you put up on national TV against the Warriors. Somehow managing an invitation to the All Star game as a shooting star??? What is going on here?? Who runs this league?? Anyways, this diary is for Chris Duhon no other guard talk!!
