A's are talking to Comcast SportsNet West

I found this article while reading the East Bay Business Times: Oakland A's talking to Comcast about shifting TV rights to Sacramento .

It'll be interesting to see what happens. It'll mean more televised games. I live in Oakland so obviously I do not get Comcast SportsNet West; currently only people in the Sacramento area do. However, if the A's and Earthquakes move to CSN West, Comcast will have to add CSN West for their Bay Area subscribers.

It's not A's related. I stumbled across this article on Yahoo sports. It's about the Giant oversight of Giants fans and their beloved Barroid Bonds. I just love how he calls the fans at SBC the "wine and sushi crowd" in the first sentence.

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AqyLwROWjt1i2tU4dX4AfQ0RvLYF?slug=dw-bonds091505&prov=yhoo &type=lgns

I might be a little sick and obsessive, but I have this reoccurring dream in my sleep where I have the opportunity to detonate a bomb at SBC Park during a game when there's 40,000 fans there and I do it. If given the actual chance, I wouldn't do it. I'd go to hell, if it exists, but I'm sure Karl Marx would be proud of me.

The latest news on Rich Harden isn't good. Hopefully the news on Crosby is better. I couldn't find anything on this on AN so I decided to create a new posting. Sorry if somebody already wrote something on this. Anyhow, here is the link:

Bars Near Oakland to Watch Away Games??

Hello fellow ANers.

I was wondering if there are any good A's fan friendly bars either in Oakland or within 15 miles of it.

I don't really frequent sportsbars and I don't really like to drink that much either. However, I was wondering if there was an establishment where I can watch A's away games with a lot of fellow A's fans.

I've been to Ricky's in San Leandro and Pacific Coast Brewery in Old Oakland and I wasn't really impressed with either. Ricky's is mainly Raider hang-out and PCB seemed like it was mainly a lunch time/after-work place for Downtown workers.

If anybody has suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
