Red Cup Rebellion Chris Low SEC All-Decade Team = More MSU Delusions

Today Chris Low released his SEC All-Decade Team. Michael Oher and Patrick Willis were both on the team, which I don't think is surprising. I won't really go into an analysis of the team, but I will say that it seems okay to me overall. Not perfect... but okay. That said, what I thought was interesting was the comment a state fan made about the team.

"StateJCP (1/22/2010 at 9:11 AM) no Fred Smoot, no Jerious Norwood, no Anthony Dixon....come on man spread the wealth around....MSU has produced quality NFL players"
Yet again proof that MS State has an inferiority complex. This guy's retort to no MSU player being named to the All-Decade team was to say that they "produced quality NFL players." I'm not saying these guys were not good athletes, but it's tough to make a case for them over the guys that were chose for the team. Thoughts?

Red Cup Rebellion Lane Kiffin = Gordon Gekko

 Douglas_gordon_gekko-03_medium     =    Kiffin_medium

I don't know if anyone else thinks this or not, but Lane Kiffin is the Gordon Gekko of college football. He, more so than anyone before, has brought a corporate raider mentality to the business of college football. He has no real allegiances, his only interest is self interest. His stock is on the rise. He accomplished this by what amounts to collusive behavior rather than an ability to coach. His ability to make the headlines and draw good recruits (however possible) made him USC's coach, not his ability to win football games. I'm just running through this in a stream of consciousness type way, but this is my assessment of Lane Kiffin.

Okay I know our guys didn't win, but it's still definitely noteworthy that an offensive lineman was second in votes and a third round wide receiver was also considered.

Red Cup Rebellion Alabama copying the McCluster pass

I kid you not Alabama just unsuccessfully copied our sweep to the right from about the 25 yard line and had Mark Ingram throw to the end zone.

The announcer then said, "Nick Saban came up with a great play there." It wouldn't be such a big deal if CBS was not covering both games. You'd think that someone was paying enough attention last week to remember that play and mention it, and certainly not pretend that Nick Saban invented it. Okay. I guess I'll get off my soapbox now. This is what I get for living in Europe in the Fall and not getting to go to a single game all season. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Red Cup Rebellion I expect Memphis to get a new running back transfer soon...

LeGarrette Blount of Oregon seems like he'd fit in there. See below, which I'm sure everyone has already. I'm sure that the Tigers will welcome him with wide open arms and say wonderful things about him and how he's misunderstood. Then Emo Greg Hardy can teach him how to better deal with his emotions since he'll be living close by. Of course Greg is probably a racist confederate since he goes to Ole Miss.

Red Cup Rebellion DaN MuLlEnZ teaches Anthony Dixon to run the counter...

Apparently the only problem is Dixon decided he would not only try and fake defenders by reversing field but he would also drive on the wrong side of the road. (Edit by JUCO)

The two champagne bottles in the back??? Well one is from before last season when the team had a preseason celebration in preparation for a win fun team building/learning experience against LA Tech; the other bottle is from this season's preseason soiree before the win against Jackson St........ I mean they will win.... Right?
