Questions, opinions and all around musings.
So I have been around alot catching up on the site lately and have noticed somthing that keeps comming up here as well as www.miamidolphins.com and I wanted to get others opinions after sharing mine. Many have called for Cam Wake to become a "complete" OLB and I can totally understand that. However one of the thoughts that rattles around in my head everytime I hear that is "Was Joey Porter EVER a complete LB?". Now I know we all pretty much couldnt stand him by the end of last season, but I KNOW that we were all pretty happy with him in '08 when all he was pretty much a one dimensional pass rusher. Whats the difference if Wake is one dimensional but dominant? Unlike JP he seems to cause much more disruption i.e. pressure overal (making the QB move or hurry up) that should translate to him becomming dominant as a pass rusher (which I think he can be easily). Do you think that would be better or worse than him being a mediocre pass rusher and mediocre OLB against the run/pass...which by the way is my big worry if they excpect so much of him that he looses focus on the things that make him great? Afterall didnt Mike Nolan turn the Dumberville into a nearly household name as a pass rusher? Whats to stop him using Wake (who we all know is already an amazing pass rusher) into a massive disrupting force no matter what the O is doing?
Anyway this just a little bitty ole opinion sloggin in my noggin and I wondered what yall thought!
Holy Baloney!
Ok so I have gone the last 22 months not having an internet connection at home, limited time at work to blog, being laid off in the last two weeks, a phone that likes to die as I am pressing "post" and loosing what I spent 1/2 an hour on the bus pecking out with my big fat fingers, personal problems and last but not least a computer that died completely. Life has been a bit of hell and more but now after nearly two years I am finally catching up for real! In the last couple of days I have gotten a new computer and internet connection and Holy Crap did it take soooo long to catch up on here! DIB comes out and gets a 1000+ comment post and all the new people who I have barely been able to keep track of reading this thing on my tiny little phone...wow! This is just the BEST damn Blog in the Universe! I have spent so much time in the last few days just reading nearly everything on here that I was just wondering how to get back into the groove here and start posting. Thanks to everyone here for helping to keep my spirits up over the last year or so...GO DOLPHINS!!!!
