Behind the Steel Curtain Pouncey

Pounceys loss had minimal if NO affect on how this game played out!  The running game was good!  WHY we throw for it on 3rd and 2 when we are clipping 5-7 yards a carry is beyond me!

The Pick 6 was huge and Mendenhalls fumble in a key game like this also turned into 7.  Polamalu did not make that *impact* play we needed from the D.

In all I saw my Steelers bow to a team we should have beaten!

Behind the Steel Curtain Steelers earn playoff spot

Sunday, December 19, 2010 By Ed Bouchette , Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The NFL notified the Steelers this evening that even though they lost, they clinched at least a wildcard playoff spot based on a tiebreaker that would go their way on strength of schedule.

The Steelers still will win the AFC North Division and earn a No. 2 seed with a first-week bye in the playoffs.

Behind the Steel Curtain Harrison Blues

After watching a couple of bad calls by the refs.... okay.... there were MORE than a few bad calls I was appalled on how they are zeroing in on Harrison.  It certainly is starting to feel like a witch hunt.  I bet Harrison is starting to feel like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.  Even when he lays up they throw the stinking towel.

The call on the pick 6 was HORRIBLE.  In a tight game that could have been the difference.  Lucky for us the *O* did their job and put the pts on the board.  This is bullshit!!!  Who agrees?

Behind the Steel Curtain At the game

Not only was I at the game yesterday I also got to take my two sons 11 & 7 to their first Steelers game.  I sat in section 328 and it was a sea of BLACK & GOLD.  The few Bucs fans in our area started getting cocky when Batch threw that 1st drive interception but they were mum for the rest of the game.

I was impressed by the behavior of the Steelers fans.  I say we outnumbered the home team fans by a 65%-35% count.  Raymond James was an awesome experience and of course winning 38-13 was GREAT!

The Brett Keisel interception and runback for a touchdown was definitely the highlight of the game.

Go Steelers~

Behind the Steel Curtain Bungles & Brownies

The Bungles & Browns both lost last night....... now let's hope the Jets can punk the filthy Ravens this evening.  GO JETS!!!

On another note since I have to do 75 words I thought the Steelers D was good yesterday and Polamalu showed why he is the ANCHOR of that defense.  Big players make *big plays* when you need them!

I hope Dixon is a little more comfortable throwing the ball next week as we will have ALL we can handle with the Titans!

Behind the Steel Curtain BENGALS FAN

Where is that loud mouth Bungles fan from Mexico now?  The one who spent a lot of time bothering us Steeler fans on here about their team.  TELL US HOW THE BUNGLES ARE NOW???

The Bungles are who we thought they were............ HORRIBLE!

One and done Bungles.. I LOVE IT!

As much as I hate to say it I have to root for the Pats tomorrow.  Hopefully they will unleash the *hell* Tomlin tried on the Crows tomorrow.

Behind the Steel Curtain Unleash Hell?

Looks like the only hell that was unleased by Tomlin and his Steelers has been on us the fans.  I actually cannot remember the last time I sat and watched a game just knowing the Steelers were going to lose with NO chance to win.  Their O & D was horrible.  To allow a 1 win team to beat you is disgusting.  The Browns beat us like they owned us and the Steelers could do nothing but stand by and get their hydes handed to them.

8 sacks.  EIGHT got damn sacks!  WTF?  Are you kidding me?  Now the Browns are the best D in the league?  Not to mention the Browns clipped off their longest run (37 yards) of the season against us last night also.

Well done Tomlin.......... THANKS for unleasing hell on us, the fans!

Behind the Steel Curtain Good job D!

We no longer have a problem... it's a trend.  The other teams ability to drive on us at will late in the game is a HUGE problem.

Once again Arians fat ass got comfortable with his liberal play calling and a 4 point lead (run, run, run punt) and Reed misses a huge field goal.  What a crock of shit and another HORRIBLE loss.  Hope your happy Tomlin because your team sucks ass right now!

Behind the Steel Curtain Well... well... well

The Steelers played for overtime instead of trying to win it in regulation.  What a crock!  Then in OT on a 2nd and 6 and needing nothing more than to manage the yards and 1st downs they throw a 40 yard pass............ are you f'ing kidding me?

This kid has been practicing our offense for a couple of years now and he looked like he really didn't know what the hell was going on.  Dixon is NOT the future of this team.  I will take our 2 Super Bowls in 3 years and shut my face now because the Steelers are not a playoff contender this year........, CASE CLOSED!

Behind the Steel Curtain Are You SERIOUS?

Losing the the lowly chiefs took effort and work.  And once again the Steelers did EVERYTHING they could to ensure yet another victory to a team we should beat every time we play them.  Whatever coach is directly in charge of the kickoff team would be *FIRED* immediately.  This is not a knee jerk reaction..... but that alone has cost us now TWO WEEKS IN A ROW!

The 3rd and 2 call when you can smell the field goal line was HORRIBLE!!!  Not only do we end up punting but had we not lost 2 yards we can still potentially go for the kick to win.  But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I've been spoiled with 2 super bowl wins in 3 years.  This team has NO chance to win a single game in the playoffs.

ONWARD..................

Behind the Steel Curtain ARIANS EXPOSED

The liberal offensive calling by Arians makes me sick.  You can NEVER protect a lead in this league especially when our D is known to soften up towards the end of the game.  I don't know if Tomlin is teaching the importance of 100% for 60 minutes but letting two close ones get away when it looked like the opposing team was moving the ball without a defense on the field is just plain unacceptable.

Arians should have kept passing to set up the run in the later parts of the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter.  BUT NOOOOO........., he's going to run to eat the clock, be OKAY with punting the ball back and giving the Bungles MORE than enough opportunities to give us the loss.

I've had a problem with this slob since he became the O coordinator and I think he needs to go!  Do your job Tomlin!!!

Behind the Steel Curtain CONGRATULATIONS

I burned a leave day today and thank God it's a day of celebration vs. a day of mourning.  What a game played by both sides.  Once again Big Ben showes why he's our man.

To all the BTSC fans here I just wanted to say congratulations fella's.  It's been a great season burning & turning with you all.  I've been saying it since the mid 70's........, I AM PROUD TO BE A STEELERS FAN!

Peace and Love & God Bless the Marine Corps!

Behind the Steel Curtain TD taken away

I was hoping that either reporting network, ESPN or NFL Network would have taken a better look at the catch & touchdown that Santonio made that was challenged by Harbaugh and called incomplete.

Correct me if I am wrong but Holmes made the catch....., made a *football move* with the ball was going down and before his knee touched the ground the ball crossed the plane for a TD and THAN the ball came out after contact with the ground.  I thought the ground cannot cause a fumble?

Someone............, anyone help me out here please!

Behind the Steel Curtain Consistency NOT our game!

Ben was awful today!  Once again with 1st and goal early in the game we do TWO runs in a row with NO results.  Our running game has been HORRIBLE when we can smell the end zone.

Even the D pretty much had their asses handed to them today.  The Browns are coming after us next week and that is THEIR super bowl.  We need to rest players at this point.

If we do not reach down and grab our nuts we are going to get busted up by the first team we play!

Behind the Steel Curtain A-Holes *tight*!

I usually get anxious before every game but today for some reason I am just EXTRA anxious.  I guess I really have a hard on for the Ravens now because of my sheer disgust for Ray Lewis!  He's a maggot on every level!  The fans in B-More are also the most obnoxiouls I've ever had the pleasure of watching a road game around.

Please Steelers.............., let your O show up because you KNOW the D will be there!  Let's beat these pigs today and keep some strong offensive momentum going into the playoffs!

There......, I feel better now!

Behind the Steel Curtain The RAVENS

This team has me quietly scared at this point.  My 3rd Steelers *road* game ever was in Baltimore Last December and that is of the most hostile enviornment I have ever watched ANY sporting event in.  They made the Eagles fans look civil if you can believe that.

We have to play them in B-More in a couple of weeks and the Ravens play us like it's their superbowl.  We better have our hats strapped on tight because the first game in Pittsburgh was like the rumble in the jungle.

I know we need to win more games but this one is going to be HUGE!!!

Behind the Steel Curtain Gary Russell the BUSsell?

Look folks........, I have always loved our big power RB's from Franco Harris to Bam Morris to Barry Foster to Jerome Bettis and Willie Parker is NOT that guy.  I don't know if he got hurt last night but I started to see less and less of FWP by the end of the 2nd qtr into the 2nd half.

Gary Russell's efforts on short yardage plays last week agains SD and the HUGE extra effort for 1 yard on 4th and 1 last night was AWESOME.  We really need to fill that role with this offense if it's going to work.

Let me get your thoughts folks..........., is Gary Russell our guy here?

Behind the Steel Curtain Mike Pereira said

On Sports Center this afternoon that, as us edumacated fans knew, that the damn refs blew this call!  Final should have been 18-10.  They are saying that the Tomlinson flip was essentially the *backwards pass* because obviously the OTHER one was not.

This whole situation concerns me because if the game was on the line this could have been a make or break.........., but than again the Chargers wouldn't have been playing lateral ball to end the game either.

Pretty stinken' scary that even with instant replay the still screw it up!  Pereira also mentioned that they need to look at a *new* rule where the refs can go under the hood a second time if there is confusion amongst the zebras like there was yesterday!!!

Behind the Steel Curtain ARIANS has to go!!!

Here we go folks..........., I have been a steelers fan and a football player for way too long to know that until this guy gets the boot we are FUKKED!

I am telling you that he is the biggest bust in football since Ryan Leaf!  Bens play is not helping anything either but how do you run the ball 3 times from the ONE knowing that the D has shut your ass down all day long when you run the ball?

I have to question Tomlin too.........., when the FUKK are you going to get it?  You're team is doing the same bullshit week in and week out and YOU are allowing it!  If Ben's hurt sit him.  No more excuses cuz the damn schedule is not getting any easier ladies!

Behind the Steel Curtain BEN SUCKS

I am tired of watching this OVERPAID, sub par quarterback suck up the field.  Ben is THE main reason we lost.

1st and goal from the 1 and they run and get denied 3 times?  Once again Arians........, your play calling and Roethlisberger's interceptions cost us the game!

There is NO way in hell we can compete with any good team in this league as long as Ben is quarterbacking and Arians is our O coordinator.

Ben had his time and like a well cooked steak.........., HE'S DONE!

Behind the Steel Curtain Big Ben's BEEN hurt

I think a lot of our *struggles* offensively is simply that Ben has been playing hurt.  I think his stubbornness to play through injury has hampered an offense that is nothing short of HORRIBLE.  I am NOT a fan of Arians play calling either so in no way am I trying to let that *maggot* off the hook!

Byron stepped in and worked wonders for the O.  Ben needs to heal and hopefully Byron can rejuvenate the O for the coming weeks.

Behind the Steel Curtain Black Pants

I have given the Steelers uniforms a lot of thought and I have noticed how teams have responded by playing better with such a small change.  I would LOVE to see the Steelers go with BLACK pants with their standard black and white jerseys.  The all black HOME uniforms would ROCK and they would be dressed properly for a funeral.  Maybe even go with yellow road jerseys instead of white.  That would look awesome too!

Anybody with me on this?  Let's get a petition going and get it done!

Behind the Steel Curtain Bruce Arians needs to be Sh1tcanned!

The disparity between how the O and D are playing comes down to who's in *charge*.  Bruce Arians is NOT calling games that will get us past the real teams in the league like the Eagles & Giants. Because our division is NOT good this year we will creep into the playoffs but if our O does not start to improve is will be for naught!

We have a lot more tests this season and until Arians gets his head out of his A$$ or gets canned we are in trouble!
