Look I already made a post similar to this, but my statements are following through. I just posted a comment on the key matchups with the following write up, but I felt it deserved more attention. So here it is:

Man I couldn’t have said it any better myself. I look at a few of our games and think we are way better then scores and results show for.

Take the first Jets game for example:
2 fakes on 4th down and a bad pass interference call really affected the blowout it should’ve been.

Now the Saints game:
you mention all of the facts in this one, but take away an obvious fumble into the endzone which resulted in a serious momentum killer for us and you have a different outcome in my opinion.

Now this past week Jets game:

They didn’t show on AFN (Armed Forces Network) this week so I was only to measure the stats - shout out to Mr. Medic, he knows whats up here!

I think a lack of offensive production is a result of the two kickoff returns for TDs – this also didn’t provide for any rest on defense – so given that alone I think that made the game closer than it should’ve been.

Going into this game I think we are going to once again beat the odds. We have nearly beat the two best teams in the league (Colts and Saints – only two undefeated teams still) and one of which I think we should’ve won despite the refs contributions. The Pats have yet to play anyone to really prove their record in my opinion. They got beat by the Jets for heavens sake. Lets be serious here people, at the beginning of the season Matty said all we have to do is match our division rivals and that is about to go down. The Pats are looking at playing us, New Orleans and the Colts in the next few weeks. So although the have the division lead right now they are about to play the toughest part of their schedule while we are heading into some of our easier game finally.

Lets not panic everyone, if we win this week the AFC East still comes through MIA!!!!!! And not to think of the possible bad outcome, but even if we are to split against the Pats with a lose they are still in a tough situation with their upcoming games!

Hard to believe it, but season AINT over yet!

Alright now I know its hard for Fins fans to muster up the strength to believe that we can still make something of this season, but... Lets take a look at it all:

Remember Matty I believe said it at the beginning of the season that all we have to do is match our division rivals. Well look who is in front of us: New England and New York. Now I fully believe that we are a much better team then the Jets as well as I think New England is overrated. A friend of mine made a good point yesterday about the Pats when we saw the score come across the board... He says oh great the Pats are going to blowout another horrible team and we are going to have to hear about how great they are and that they are the team to beat on the AFC blah blah blah. Now the Pats have 2 losses as of right now and although they are heading into a bye week, they have a tough schedule ahead of them coming out of it. First off they have to play us, which I believe if we beat them the AFC east is still in our hands, but let me not jump ahead just yet. This week we have the Jets, whom I believe we would've blown out if it weren't for to fake special teams 4th down conversions. Honestly when I watched that game I felt like we dominated it more than the score showed, but a lot of times others don't see these things. I like to believe in the intangibles A LOT. So much that I use that philosophy in my picks and fantasy football. Now I do have one loss in my fantasy football league, but my team isn't as potent as others so I think my intangible idea works. Let me digress though, lets say we dominate the J.E.T.S Suck Suck Suck again and now we are 3-4 going in to New England with the Pats 5-2. Now after we beat the Pats and knock them down to 5-3 we get some breathing room. We then have games against the Bucs whom the Pats got their rest against already followed up by Carolina and Buffalo. Now I don't know what the combined win total of those three teams is, but I know it isn't a large number. Anyway with 2 back to back wins the next two weeks we move to .500 and within one game of the AFC east lead. I wont got much further than that, but seriously that doesn't seem out of reach when you consider the Pats still have to play Indy, New Orleans, and Us.

Let me put a close on this since my time is running out for the day on Iraqi wireless time. THE SEASON AINT OVER YET! We just need to win the next couple of weeks to close the gap in our division! Hard to swallow after yesterdays loss, but true fans don't give up hope!!! SO lets not dwell on what happened or could've been, but lets rally our spirits and get rolling! GO FINS 2-4 or not!

Hey guys, I am currently deployed to Iraq and am only able to follow via write-ups. I saw the numbers from the Jax game and was wondering whats up with Lex Hilliard? I imagine his carries were late in the game, but he still put up some good numbers. Can anyone fill me in on this. Also our Team Report on Yahoo is saying that Hartline has moved in front of Turner since OTA's is this true? Can Hartline be our real steal in the draft (6'2" 186)? What are the other outlooks on this kid; speed, route running, etc?

Joey Porter & Matt Roth?

Hey fellow phans! I haven't heard too much about Joey Porter since training camp began. Are they just taking it easy with him bc of age and that is why we haven't heard too much? I do like that we are hearing nothing but good about JT, but I do agree with some comments that we need Roth back in the mix. Is the Matt Roth ordeal going to be a mystery for much longer or what? When will we know what is actually going on?

As much as I like hearing that our secondary is improving - the fact is we need a solid pass rush to make sure these guys can get picks. The longer we give guys like Brady to read the field the better chance they have at beating us.
